@ damanwitoutaname; It's called anti lag. The reason it backfires is because anti lag sends alot of fuel through the injector a little later than normal resulting in combustion in the exhaust causing the turbo to spool faster. You're right though that over time it causes damage.

Your post just bugs me because if anything, the only thing this video proved is that the drivers knew how to do a burnout.

True,these cars make a lot of HP,but the torque is shit.If you ever get a chance to ride in a blown big-block street rod with 1200 or 1500hp,do it! When it leaves the line and you can't breath,you'll know what i mean.A civic with 1000hp doesn't quite feel the same. trust me....i come from a huge back round in muscle cars being around them growing up including pleanty of my own ive built. your def right about them not having torque but being around them for past few years they have impressed me for just being a 4cyl. and 40k? idk about that. that used viper your buying is NOT going 9s or even 10s. i have a few friends with those in the 8-9s and they done ALOT of work to get there.

personally i think these hondas are more fun, dont get me wrong, i grew up around hot rods and muscle cars, i love them because i know what they can do, but i can only build whats available to me. also, the torque might be different, but the handling more than makes up for it, try racing through a canyon road in a muscle car or even a viper and you'll end up in a ditch, i know vipers, i drove one for a long time at the shop i used to work at. just fix up a honda and stop hating
