normally, i'd just say this sucks because it's a remake. but it's actually just as good as the original. just a bit low on the chorus. maybe she'd be better in country music.

storm sounds better than roger when she sings this song but not better than elton although really good but roger would still woop her @ss at baba o'riley and bahind blue eyes and songs like that
I like Elton John's version, but this is clean. It was good up until the chorus, but even that was pretty even. I am indeed surprised she did not win, for the choice of this song is not something to laugh at, cause this is a hard song to perfect. While it is not the best version of the song, it gets a 8.5 for trying. Nice video though.
why would anyone want to be in a band with tommy lee. He is a horribly overrated drummer. Just watch one of his solos, i guarantee you it is A) The same thing over and over B) A simple beat that he calls a solo C) both A and B
Well, I don't think this whole project (or any such televised talent contest) had much to do with musicality. Pop music is all purely about money, fame, and having a certain look/persona required to get there. But, yes, Tommy Lee isn't exactly Gene Lake, Billy Kilson, or Nate Smith.
Once again, Storm's seven-note voice fails to impress. Seriously, why do you think she screams the high parts? Her vocal range is about one-and-a-half octaves.
so? she can sing and perform. and she does things to improvise her seeming ly lack of range. at least she does something about it. and she does it beautifully, perfectly.
I love all the "armchair" music professionals. This woman has the voice and talent to make it far. Listen to this song again and close your eyes. If she were fat and ugly or slim and beautiful, the voice is equally amazing. She does play a mean pinball.
Oh well too bad for Storm.(she got the boot)they probably saw that she wasn't really rock n roll. She's more of a torch singer or a Broadway type.I'm not putting her down(she can sing) but I think she tried too hard to be "dangerous".She's not. Then again I don't think the competition is any better..Good luck
And further, to "tubbsie": Do you think other "real stars" or whatever you are referring to, don't ever have those types of jobs earlier in their lives? Get real man. Get over your hatred of her.
I agree with chrisdelionuwf, it's easy to stand on the side and criticize people trying to do their thing. Many childrens spirits have been crushed by nasty , frustrated ,and petty unkind people.Whats the point?people who are so afraid to pursue thir dreams can't stand to see others, especially people they know.It reminds them of this great failure...
Yo tubbsie all people in that line of want all have narssicistic disorders, gat over it..You sound like one of those frustrated drunks at the Rat and Raven. You know the kind, all women they don't get are sluts.Wish the girl well you petty little baby....Is she any less talented than that rockstar Tommy Lee? please, they're all overated anyways...
Actually, I wasn't too terribly frustrated at the Rat because one of my best friends was the owner. Whatever.
I've actually had time to think about what's happened to the Rock Biz and it seems that Storm was ahead of her time. I'm not saying that thats a good thing. It's just clear that the star making machine has finally chose to recognize all those boys and girls who paid their dues in front of the mirror singin' along with their favorite records. Why the fuck not.
Storm was my roommate back in the Raven days and my brothers(Jimi) girlfriend.Storm has worked very hard. She didn't just sing in the mirror along to records.Shes sung professionally for 20 years in stage shows, musicals, countless bands.I have a recording of her singing an original Billy Holiday arrangement my brother made when they dated. Its awesome. She's definitly a ham,but shes talented and is a kind person...so don't be a crab in a barrel
Hell yeah! She is an EXTREMELY great live performer. She has sung while humping my leg! She is a "ham" but that is what makes a great performer. They do it FOR the audience. Cheers to you finley40.
This isn't rock, this is television. The Disney version of rock n roll. Rock n roll as telegraphed insincerity. Star Search bullshit. Kick in the tv set, go see a real live band and fuck this programmed classic-rock-covers-made-for-tv-fame-game. This isn't about music, it's about celebrity. If Storm were serious about her music she wouldn't be on this clown show - she'd be out touring and doing the hard work a musician needs to do to get known. This shit is about as real as pro wrestling.
If you buy this toe-rags hustle, your as foolish as the drunks that used to over-tip her when she did her stripper slut act when she was a bartender at The Rat and the Raven in SanFrancisco 12-13 years ago! That's right kids; She's been so desperate for attention for so long that she's failed to notice that she's just a stripper with a narcissistic personality disorder.
....how many ROCK stars are known for their singing skills....honey, on stage and on television, it's the TOTAL package that gets you coming back. And, of course, you're welcomed not to watch and listen if it's substandard.
So debhig, anyone who disagrees with you needs an enema, social skills, anger management, and is jealous and a danger to society? Wow! And I thought I was only expressing an opinion. As the late musical genius Frank Zappa once said, "Most people wouldn't know good music if it came up and bit them on the ass."
(Wow, please give daleahill an enema....that person definitely has problems and is a danger to society, not to mention being a real pleasure to be around. Anger management, life coping skills, and "How To Make Your Only Friend" are recommended.)
ROCK OUT, STORM........Make no apologies, babe, for being you. Pretty girls who are talented have such a hard time with people being jealous. This is the Storm that we all know and LOVE.
Should could set a standard for what it is to be a performer and be a woman. I don't want to see anything else. I don't want to see people trying to be her. I want to see her. She can sing AND she can perform. And needless to say, she is gorgeous. A video of her in the band Storm Inc. on a song called penetration blew me away. I can see her putting out an album that rivals Appetite for Destruction as the best rock album in the last 25 years.
It just goes to show you-in this day and age, mediocrity always seems to rise to the top. Aretha Franklin is a great singer. Janis Joplin was a great singer. This is as run-of-the-mill as the junk on American Idol.
Storm Large and mediocrity is an oxymoron, you moron! To compare storm to Janice in the negative is absolutely moronic! Janice didn't sing, she screamed. Storm has it all and you must be a jealous loser who didn't even make it on to the show to begin with! Or perhaps you're just a moron after all.
What are you-12 years old? You can't have an intelligent conversation without calling names? And by the way, it's Janis, not Janice-but being such an expert on music, I guess you would know that. 20 years from now (when you're around 30) see how many people still remember Janis Joplin compared to how many have any idea who Storm Large was.
No, actually I will be 36 in 20 years and you will have probably died of old age by then along with the rest of Gravel voice Janis's drug crazed fans. And I doubt I'll still have the teenage mentallity to be arguing on any site like this one.

It's gonna be her and Lukas in the final 2 I bet, both are equally good in talent and have their looks down. She'd win becuase she's as tall or taller then the band memeber while Lukas is a short guy that looks like a bug.
But we don't know if that Lukas dude can really sing. We know he can mumble and pass as a drunk Billy Idol -- but we have yet to know how he really sounds when he sings. Also, you don't see that Dilana chick in the last two or three? It seems she totally won everyone over, even though we don't know what her real range is and how she would fit into other music. Storm, on the other hand, really adapts so well to so many styles (and each of them distinctly HER OWN).
