In one part of the film, this one old guy says "He's looking for somthing, searching. If only we could figure out what it is, before it's too late." I never understood that part.

That was Raymond Burr... he was in the Americanized version of the original movie, and he reprised his roll for the '85 movie.

Raymond Burr was a famous actor since the 50's, and died in the early 90's.

(A very odd line in the movie though, considering it never really eluded to anything or went any where)
