To all those commenting here that principals should still be able to paddle teens like back then... When do you think this was made? This still occurs, and the places it occurs in (mainly southern states, like Arkansas, Texas and South Carolina) are among the crappiest schools in America. New England states which universally outperform these schools abolished corporal punishment a generation ago.

This is not illegal in Arkansas. The parents AND THE STUDENTS sign a form at the start of the school year saying that the Principal is allowed to give swats to the student if they misbehave, and the student has a choice between swats and Saturday school. Most students choose swats because its a faster punishment and they don't want to lose a Saturday, there is also a witness in the room, it is not just the student and the Principal. It is pretty normal here.
A paddling would not worked on me. My problem is that I was in an environment with other kids I didn't want to be around. Sure, I would get paddled, but if I'm used to getting bullied and fighting, what good would a spanking do? The best solution for me back in high school would be to keep me away from most people. That would have kept me well behaved. I was the best behaved when I was alone.

In most school districts here where I live, corporal punishment has been outlawed. A principal who gives a child corporal punishment (i.e., licks with a paddle) is subject to criminal charges. This was not always the case, as my school days were filled with the screams of young people who were constantly getting hit in the ass with a board for the slightest infractions of a draconic school policy. You have to remember, this was Oklahoma during the 80's and 90's. Many things have changed since.

HOWEVER, the administration had to have written consent from a student's parents that their child was permitted to be paddled as a punishment (this was a private school). I find it really unlikely that a public school would be able to use some form of physical punishment unless the girl's parents were aware and had given consent.

And besides, what teenager would even let somebody spank them? Spanking a smaller child is easy enough, but trying to spank a teenager whose as big as you if not bigger, it wouldn't work unless the teenager lets you and I don't know any teenager in their right mind who would.

It may or may not be real, But it CAN still legally happen. And the school cannot get sued as the Parents/Children agreed to the rules and punishments of the school. Besides the kids are NOT in any way forced to get paddled they have a CHOICE. I don't see anything wrong with kids being spanked for the choices they have made, Although i think high school is a little too old for this type of punishment.

I live about 40 minutes from this asshole........and I know that he gets off sexually doing this.........there are HUNDREDS (and that's alot for such a small town) who tell stories about this guy getting hard ons after spanking BOTH girls and boys. @Bluekestrel9 I'm not sure what kind of policy their school has, but ours had paddling as a punishment option. HOWEVER, the administration had to have written consent from a student's parents that their child was permitted to be paddled as a punishment (this was a private school). I find it really unlikely that a public school would be able to use some form of physical punishment unless the girl's parents were aware and had given consent.
