Harris is a truly gifted actor - the way she can slip instantly from one persona to the next (between offering Daphne stardom to turning into a pouty teenager, ratting on her to Frasier for example). The real wealth of this show lies in its minor characters - what would it be without Maris, Lilith and Bebe?

I tried to watch this. But it's not funny in a recession. I got laid off, and watching all these people with fun, cushy jobs is just depressing. Frasier is definitely a snobbish show - even when he lost his job, he got it back 7 weeks later. everyone hanging out in a penthouse with a view. No, this is not how life is for most people.

@g9yx1s Whilst we sympathise with your plight mate, it's only a bloody tv show!

We've all had bad times, no one has a monopoly on that (although scousers try to of course) and I can't think of any better therapy than to have a good laugh.

As for Frasier being a "snobbish show", it is Frasier and Niles' transparent snobbery that makes the show so bloody funny in the first place? Watch a few more episodes, and you will see that their Dad regularly rips them to pieces over it.
