He is a weather man in Grand Junction Colorado now. My family always got a laugh or two when watching his reports oftin times the weather was the exact opposite of what he would say it was going to be.

Let me tell you folks something.. As a Charlotte native, I can say with all sincerity that Mark Mathis is the spark that made Fox News Rising what it was and what it shall be. All you Charlotte people who love seeing him in the mornings, fire off an email to the station. (Channel 18, right there on Independence Blvd.) I sent one to him up in KREX in Colorado and his station manager forwarded the email to him in like thirty minutes. I said that we all missed him.. Of course.

I haven't watched all the clips yet but I hope someone posted clips of his jokes about Gastonia. I'm from that area and it was hilarious. He got suspended for it and his very first night back they did a mocking skit about it. He was wearing orange "prison clothes" and the back said something like Gaston Penitentiary or something similar but it was misspelled. When it was pointed out Mathis said "Of course it is! It's Gastonia!"
