as much as people talk about Simon and how much of a jackazz he is, they forget that he is a premier talent scout. Simon heard him sing and he automaticly knew that the song wasn't right for him and gave him another chance to perform a different song. That is what a true talent scout does. He sees past the fact that he is a cute little boy. His job is to find talent in someone. I sing just for fun and I could tell that the song wasn't the best fit for him.
