talk about weight reduction in a bug out bag this is great!!! if you say this is pointless you are for sure not good with tactics or a marksman in my mind. give me a pistol and place a water bottle at 200 yards its mine in 3 shots.... if you are not that good shut up you have no right to post.
@TheRebelEye 3 step assembly...and it can be done at cover, as in, take shots as needed with bare G17, cover, rip out conversion kit and assembly carbine.
@Eledaraumar I really don't know... maybe the "assault" configuration... I am just making that up. the whole program is about slowly removing guns from law-abiding hands so who knows what they are up to. rather than guess, I think I should probably contact my local shop and see if it is legal or not here. maybe I am just being paranoid.
@mattxr2i Roger that. Since 1934 the demoncraps have been slowly but surely wittling away at the 2A, and when we elect republicans (small r intentional) they give us back SOME, but not all, of what we had. Then another big hit, then another little retreat. And so on. EVERY gun control law since the beginning is UN Constitutional, and they ALL need to be repealed. Why do I NEEEEED an SBR/SBS/whatever? I don't. But the government can't legally tell me that I can't.
@cmblake6 I can tell you why you need an SBR/SBS just like I can tell you why I and every good citizen needs a Dillon minigun. Because the GOVERNMENT HAS THEM! Personally I think if the government is allowed to have an M1 Abrams Tank I should be allowed to as well provided I can afford one and use it responsibly. The only weapons I think should be banned COMPLETELY (meaning nobody including any government should have them) are weapons of mass destruction.
@SAQQUSAWRU There are better versions for your pistol conversions...they all need to be register with ATF form 1....here are other choices to look at: RONI, H.E.R.A. & K.P.O.S.
Ammo is going thru the roof and wages are staying the same . Your lucky if you can buy ammo under .40 round. Carbine ammo design for low recoil and no more 300 meters is costing as much as 300 wsm or 270, 308, ! short range weapon vs a rifled catridge for distance and penitration. If you want to blast the target all at once , Buckshot at close range is just as effective has full auto . two quick pumps and i have 24 large shot comming down range. Look POPs ! FULL AUTO !
@djomercohen Because it's illegal to own an assault rifle in some places? Because assault rifles are high powered compared to a 9mm and you may not want to kill the person 3 houses down? Because, all things told, this is probably shorter and easier to maneuver than an assault rifle? Take your pick, all three are true.
@ChishioAme This is illegal to use in far more places than an "assault rifle." Putting a stock on a pistol INSTANTLY makes it a short barreled rifle, unless you replace the barrel with a full 16 inch (minimum civilian legal barrel length on a rifle), you'll have to get an NFA stamp to actually use this or risk the ATF confiscating it.
Ultimately, you're better off getting a carbine like the Hi-Point or Kel-Tec, or even some of the AR-15 conversions, rather than this.
@corneredfox All things true, but getting a tax stamp for 200$ is certainly a LOT easier than getting around an assault rifle ban; all you have to do is get a signature from your county's CLEO, get the tax stamp, and go through a little more thorough background check than usual. With an assault rifle ban, it's a felony to own it no matter what channels you go through.
@ChishioAme More than likely, if where you are has an assault rifle ban, they wouldn't allow you to get one of these either. Again technically by adding the stock it makes it a rifle, so the state or municipality is going to see it as being almost exactly the same as say an AR-15 or some AK variant.
All I'm really saying is getting a dedicated carbine like the Kel-Tec Sub-2000 or even the Hi-Point, would ultimately be cheaper and easier.
@corneredfox The counter arguement is your not using a rifle cartridge . Your using hand gun ammo design for defense so there for your weapon isant design for the battle field to assault engage infantry . But you now the communist new world order Govt wants to strip every one rights so they have no means to protect themselves.
@GalaticSpaceHero Counter argument is the M1 Thompson was used in WWII as a front-line weapon, and sub-machine guns like the MP5, P90, MP7, etc are still finding use in combat, even if not in the hands of regular infantry. Not to mention, you're talking about people who don't care about logic or reason.
@corneredfox back in the 90's when money went farther and i got paid more , i bought some of the exotic weapons and tryd to figure out how it would all work in urban combat if it broke out in my neck of the woods.M11 9mm was just spray weapon, 223 you could not even legaly hunt with it. My favorite weapon was the old M2 carbine.the One Audie Murphy used to sneek up and kill a German snipper. If they made them in 243 or 6mm what weapon! 6.8 is to expensive as a Carbine round.Just improve 30 cal.
@corneredfox Thompson a 100 yard weapon . I saw veds of US Infantry taking shots at Germans way across fields that were way out of the range of .45 Tankers were equiped with the grease guns 45. I though that was lighter and better suitide for CQB. Take that Grease Gun in 9mm with laser sight then you might have something practical against enemys of the state
@GalaticSpaceHero There's two things there I have to point out. Firstly, the .45 ACP may not be accurate at that range, but it's still going to do some damage if it hits you. Secondly, in combat just shooting in a person's direction can have a desirable effect, even if you're not actually hitting them (suppressing fire).
Look at it this way, by taking shots at the Germans across the fields they likely made them think twice about poking their heads out long enough to get accurate shots off.
A secondary benefit to this conversion is the advantage (vs a pistol) during a struggle. With the stock, it is harder for someone to disarm you or rotate the weapon towards. Conversions like this are most cost effective if you already own a Glock. When compared to 2k+ for an AR-15 SBR though, it isn't too expensive even if you had to buy a Glock. Either way, you would still have to pay the 200$ BATFE tax.
The stock does not make the pistol or the shooter more accurate than they already are...at the range. When you can take all the time in the world acquiring your target shot after shot then accuracy would be equal, but what if it was necessary to fire 4-6 consecutive rounds with minimal pause. With a stock, recoil would be minimized and, in turn, so would the target acquisition time after every shot.
I would try to accept this platform if it were for full size glocks, maybe also to make it a point to add an extended barrel during the conversion, BUT this is for a glock 19/23 which is really stupid.
@NinjaRider77R Does extend effective range becuase it makes the shooter more accurate
Would probably benefit from having the bit behind the pistol grip made smaller. It might not be aesthetically pleasing compared to the concept model but it'll be less likely to snag on things and get in the way of a one point sling. Just some thoughts :)
@tacticaltome No it doesn't make anything more accurate because the barrel length stays the same, so this gun will shoot exactly the same groups in or out if the stock.
Plus in most states, adding a stock to a pistol without adding a longer barrel is illegal.
@NinjaRider777R It doesn't make the pistol itself more accurate, but it does make the shooter more accurate. The gun will be capable of shooting the same groups, but the shooter will get better groups out of the gun with a stock than without. Put it this way; will the gun shoot better groups in your hands or clamped to a bench? Not to mention the "tactical platform" allows you to add optical sights which allows more accurate aiming of the gun.
@NinjaRider777R fyi my username is supposed to be ironic and I don't claim to know everything there is to know about shooting pistols. My "gun knowledge" does come from airsoft. I just don't see why accuracy gained by adding a stock in airsoft doesn't translate to real firearm, please explain it to me.
An non-magnifying optical sight like an aimpoint lets your eye focus on the target not the front sight and as a side benefit allows you to shoot both eyes open.
@tacticaltome Like I said, different aiming, and anybody with good technique can leave both eyes open and still be able to aim efficiently.
And the stock is a crutch that skill-less people use to compensate for bad technique. That's why it's not allowed in pro shooting competitions like IPSC.
@NinjaRider777R but wait, if it's a crutch then surely it improves accuracy for the average user right, so it does increase accuracy for the majority of users? Also with optical sights like C-More why would pro practical shooters use them in Open class rather than not use them if it makes not difference?
Both eyes open with optical sight is going to be more precise than both eyes iron sight. The red dot is a point whereas the front sight would be a blob obscuring a large proportion of target
Pointless in the US due to paperwork requirements. A permanent modification to a pistol caliber carbine with a longer barrel or just buying a carbine would make more sense.
@piegazer "why you no something" is an internet meme and it is spelled like he did, "Y U NO something". Like "LIBYA, Y U NO PEACEFUL?". I find it somewhat ironic that you care about his grammar, but don't care about your spelling. "grammer" is not a word.
Long story short, this was supposed to be some way to get a contract so that intervention teams could use pistols in "tactical" scenarios, but got ditched and they are now trying to lure mall ninjas to buy it.
@rakiboy AR-15 is a civilian version of the M4... Also 400+another what 1-200 for a pistol stock that can be easily and quickly removed is better than having a rifle and a pistol etc. Use it in a car/truck/apc. its smaller than a m4/ar-15. THis thing is about the size of a SMG and costs 1-2 times less.
@rakiboy - The only advantage between this and an AR-15 is the shorter OA length of the weapon which would be better in CQB. As some folks have alluded to, conversions like this requires the owner to register the weapon as an SBR and pay 200$ to BATFE.
yah i see. but in this case as an member of the police or the army you would use a short mp and as a civilian you could use the pistol as it is... so it's pretty unnecessary...
worthless! Just a heavier and more awkward glock. Doesn't add anything. Just more plastic crap! All around fail! Get a damn draco pistol or a short m4 or something if you need something small. ahH!!!!!!
@XCVGVCX except on the civil security field the demand for compact concealable and accurate platforms such as this, is high. considering it is smaller than a short AR and the pistol it is made for generally is more accurate than the regular SMG. Think of this for SMG as a short barrel Combat rifle is for an AR. they both got their functions and places on the field.
@Jcrazyninja The Constitution of The United States Republic give the Right not Privlige to bear arms to the people. no restrictions required. The constituton does not allow a secured right to be converted into a privilege by a bearacrat and a fee attached in order to exercise the right that is guranteed by the constitution. the constitution is the supreme LAW OF THE LAND no exceptions. Statist would have u think that arms are the 2 appendages with ur hands attached. ha ha ha!
right... so it's an underpowered SBR that will be FILTHY from the ridiculous amount of carbon build up in the space between end of glock barrel and end of the platform.
Given those factors combined with the fact that it is has a "looks cool and like it's from the movies appeal." Mean's it'll sell awesome.
does this thing actually increase the length of the barrel or does it just sit over the gun? If it made the barrel longer then I guess I could see the use but it seems like you're just putting a ton of crap on it to make a pistol more ergonomic stable. I just don't see the point if that's the case. You buy a pistol because you want something small, if you want something big, stable, etc get a carbine or PDW.
@omgnumbersandletters most (or mabey all) of the "no disassembly required" stocks have no extenson on barrel length. but you might be surprised on the accuracy of a pistol if you give it a buttstock. there is a glock to ar-15 conversion with disassembly required but that one has an extanded barrel and is (from what i heard) cheaper thaen an ar-15 but uglyer.
Looks like the market is flooded with these pistol to carbine adapters. Why not just learn to really shoot the pistol that you will be carrying CCW instead?
You could reload a shi% load of ammo for the ATF tax and the cost of one of these. IF you really need a rifle/carbine, grandpa's old thutty-thutty works for 4 or 2 legged varmits, but it is not exactly CCW, and neither is a pistol to carbine adapter either. Toys, we got to have them though!
For the price they are asking, its a joke.. There is no useful function worth that value. The only way this would be even remotely worth the price is if you could attach a longer barrel to actually make it "rifle status". And in such case, with what youd pay for this and the glock, you could of bought an assault rifle with a folding stock and better caliber.
This is a nice design/concept, but thumbs way down on the price. I could make one of these for a quarter of what they are asking.
just wondering, if i were to use this for airsoft would i still need a license to own this platform? I don't know a lot about owning real steel gun stuff so yeah.
@ARX7ARBALESTZ7 Owning the platform is not illegal. MOUNTING a pistol INTO the platform changes your weapon discription from a "pistol" to a "short barrelled rifle". A short barrelled rifle has to be registered as such and you will have to pay the cooresponding fee. It is not hard to do, just time consuming and, if I recall, about $200 for the BATF fee.
What's with all these stock-kits on pistols these days? Pistols have tiny catridges + short barrels. Making the body HUGE with a tac rail does not allow it to compete with other similar-sized weapons. If you need a tiny weapon with a stock, just get an MP5k-PDW, AKS-74U, or better yet, a 5-shot Benelli.
Very nice video and production. Mfgs have been trying to sell the "turn your pistol into a carbine with this cool stock" idea since the P08 Luger. You know what? It still doesn't work.
I would guess not. I think if you add a stock to a pistol it becomes a "rifle" in the BATFE's eyes. I know it works the other way around. It'd be legal if it had a 16" barrel or longer though.
There seems to be better options for the size and weight than this pistol with a buttstock.
I would ecpect such comments from an airsoft mall ninja, G19s are porbably the most common glock pistol, g23 is pretty popular as well. Stick to what you know, the inside of your BF and fake guns.
@maxcavalera4380 Lol i made this account a long time ago Dont be a fag on the interwebs dude lol. I know alot about guns so just go be a fag some where else.....
@AiRs0fTNiNjA once an arisoft ninja always an airsoft ninja; don't disown your heritage. From your use of the word fag twice in your comeback I can see you've hardly grown up, so if you are messing with real guns, please go back to airsoft until you fully mature.
glock was built as a PISTOL not as a carbine just my own opinion,, imagine what will happen when you get a KB!!!!! you might end up borrowing a face from a dog ....

Long story short, this was supposed to be some way to get a contract so that intervention teams could use pistols in "tactical" scenarios, but got ditched and they are now trying to lure mall ninjas to buy it.
bf2lover42 9 months ago
@rakiboy M4... $700 at least. May not have sights etc. M4's aka the AR-15 is an expensive weapon.
Wolfstanus 6 months ago
@Wolfstanus:
i mean, why use a glock with stock and stuff, when u can buy a m4 or respecting your answer, an ar-15?
rakiboy 6 months ago
@rakiboy AR-15 is a civilian version of the M4... Also 400+another what 1-200 for a pistol stock that can be easily and quickly removed is better than having a rifle and a pistol etc. Use it in a car/truck/apc. its smaller than a m4/ar-15. THis thing is about the size of a SMG and costs 1-2 times less.
Wolfstanus 6 months ago
@Wolfstanus
yah i know about the ar-15...
i see your point with the prize, but i still do not like this stock stuff...
rakiboy 6 months ago
@rakiboy - The only advantage between this and an AR-15 is the shorter OA length of the weapon which would be better in CQB. As some folks have alluded to, conversions like this requires the owner to register the weapon as an SBR and pay 200$ to BATFE.
Charliegq1 6 months ago
@Charliegq1
yah i see. but in this case as an member of the police or the army you would use a short mp and as a civilian you could use the pistol as it is... so it's pretty unnecessary...
rakiboy 6 months ago
worthless! Just a heavier and more awkward glock. Doesn't add anything. Just more plastic crap! All around fail! Get a damn draco pistol or a short m4 or something if you need something small. ahH!!!!!!
triffin 10 months ago
It seems kind of pointless. Bigger than a pistol, has better ergonomics I guess, but functionally inferior to an SMG or short AR.
XCVGVCX 11 months ago 4
@XCVGVCX My thoughts exactly.
ThePopeAndy 11 months ago

Im guessing theirs a Class 3 lcense required or something required or can Civilians order these kits too? these are pretty Cool
Jcrazyninja 1 year ago
right... so it's an underpowered SBR that will be FILTHY from the ridiculous amount of carbon build up in the space between end of glock barrel and end of the platform.
Given those factors combined with the fact that it is has a "looks cool and like it's from the movies appeal." Mean's it'll sell awesome.
Choncer 1 year ago
does this thing actually increase the length of the barrel or does it just sit over the gun? If it made the barrel longer then I guess I could see the use but it seems like you're just putting a ton of crap on it to make a pistol more ergonomic stable. I just don't see the point if that's the case. You buy a pistol because you want something small, if you want something big, stable, etc get a carbine or PDW.
omgnumbersandletters 1 year ago

Toys, we got to have them though!
jbmortensen 1 year ago
For the price they are asking, its a joke.. There is no useful function worth that value. The only way this would be even remotely worth the price is if you could attach a longer barrel to actually make it "rifle status". And in such case, with what youd pay for this and the glock, you could of bought an assault rifle with a folding stock and better caliber.
This is a nice design/concept, but thumbs way down on the price. I could make one of these for a quarter of what they are asking.

be fun to own. nowhere near practical IMO. still fun to plink with if it could be legal in the states.
shevrock 1 year ago
just wondering, if i were to use this for airsoft would i still need a license to own this platform? I don't know a lot about owning real steel gun stuff so yeah.
ARX7ARBALESTZ7 1 year ago
@ARX7ARBALESTZ7 Owning the platform is not illegal. MOUNTING a pistol INTO the platform changes your weapon discription from a "pistol" to a "short barrelled rifle". A short barrelled rifle has to be registered as such and you will have to pay the cooresponding fee. It is not hard to do, just time consuming and, if I recall, about $200 for the BATF fee.
paramour208 1 year ago
one of these in 10mm with a 16 inch barrel would pretty sweet... but expensive :(
johnnyb1936 1 year ago
Its cool but i prefer mp7, its pretty much a small assault rifle!
Trinitrotoluo 1 year ago
What's with all these stock-kits on pistols these days? Pistols have tiny catridges + short barrels. Making the body HUGE with a tac rail does not allow it to compete with other similar-sized weapons. If you need a tiny weapon with a stock, just get an MP5k-PDW, AKS-74U, or better yet, a 5-shot Benelli.

LiftedShooter 2 years ago
how much is the kit?
ARX7ARBALESTZ7 2 years ago
@erikgiles1
I would guess not. I think if you add a stock to a pistol it becomes a "rifle" in the BATFE's eyes. I know it works the other way around. It'd be legal if it had a 16" barrel or longer though.
There seems to be better options for the size and weight than this pistol with a buttstock.
ssstealth 2 years ago 13
Or you could skip the pistol and just make this into a dedicated pdw in something like .30 carbine.
