"There is now no condemnation to them that are in Christ Jesus, WHO WALK NOT AFTER THE FLESH, BUT AFTER THE SPIRIT."
If we are truly trusting and following Him, then we will not live under condemnation. So if we are under condemnation then we are not in Christ. This verse does not support 'grace without works', it actually upholds that we are to live Holy. We must live a life of repentance. Sin separates us from God - this is absolute... and doesnt change simply bcuz we claim Him.
God doesn't excuse willful sin. If we continue to do our evil we do not know Jesus but are slaves to sin. Let no one deceive you you will reap what you sow. God will look at the intention of your heart. He knows if you want to obey him or not
"There will be no peace on Earth until My Son's Kingdom. I will crush every kingdom now standing and rock the earth off its foundation. I Yahweh will destroy every enemy to My throne, and who can stop Me? Who can turn back My anger? No one." - Yahweh

If one does not have to live holy and live in the light and confess every sin... then please explain why Christ told people to "go and sin no more."
So, if you say it's impossible.. and Christ says it's possible(otherwise you accuse Christ of lying to people, to command things that are impossible, and then punishing them "justly" for it)... then I listen to Him, not you.
the moral law still applies(it's written on everyone's heart), it's not legalism.
Not lying. I have. that's not the point though. I'm not judging you nor condemning, but your quotes (or rather misunderstanding of the law the Jews were trying to get the Gentiles under versus the natural Law) do not suffice to answer that Christians are to live holy, to resist temptation. If God gave impossible commandments, then God is to blame for our sin. Simple philosophy with is/ought proves that what God commands--has to be possible to be judged righteously.
@droptozro Romans 7:25 says, "Thank God! The answer is in Jesus Christ our Lord. So you see how it is: In my mind I really want to obey God’s law, but because of my sinful nature I am a slave to sin." The law was set up to show us that we are not perfect. It's not God's fault. We are all ruled by our sinful nature until we are born again. God gave us free will. We are to live a holy life but there is nothing we can do to earn God's favor. We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus alone.
Agreed. I'm not speaking against that, I'm speaking for the truth after one becomes a Christian. Romans 8(as this is a letter and doesn't truly end at Romans 7)--continues this understanding---read on...Romans8: 1 "There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit." -that is a condition.
All of Romans 8 describes this life as a newborn Christian after the law(among many other areas)
I think possibly you and I have a different idea on what the "sinful nature" is also. I don't believe those words--they don't exist in any Greek manuscript. The word is simply "flesh" and don't get me wrong--there is "sinful flesh."--but by definition that's not the same as "sinful nature." I don't understand(and maybe you don't do this, not sure) why people think sin is a "thing"--as in physical. That's not true... John speaks against the Gnostic "physical" sin in his 1st epistle.
John clearly states that sin is transgression of the law. 1 John 3:4---an action. This was to clear up the Gnostic counter-view of sin being physical matter. So by being consistent, I believe people become sinful(and possibly even it becomes natural to them)--this is where "sinful flesh" comes in... Because if we're just born that way--then to be consistent, Christ was born a sinner--but we know this is not true. This isn't far-fetched either, people become addicted(slaves) to their sins.
@AmericanWayne I agree with you. The Gnostics had it wrong. We sin in the flesh and of the soul (mind, will, emotions). Our spirits are perfect when we are born again. Fruits of the spirit are the evidence of salvation. There are lots of people who claim to be born again but their fruits say otherwise.
If you want a further explanation on this, read into the early church and see how the anti-Christs(or rather Gnostics) of 1 John and other epistles by Peter---taught that under grace one could not lose salvation, nor could they stop sinning and actually obey Christ---while the early Christians(Polycarp, Barnabas, Clement of Rome/Alexandria n such) all taught that obedience was possible and necessary. Some were quoted as saying no one's a Christian except he who endures to the end. God Bless.
we "change" when God "changes" us, period. this is why "self-helps" rarely "cause" change. it's all God's "cause and effect" - there is ALWAYS a "cause" for everything we do. freewill is bogus. and salvation is a process, a "going through" the fire. no one is saved here and now. we are saved by hope. we haven't seen salvation. the whole concept has been misunderstood by most of the world.
A spiritual sin is a vile act against God. The problem is you need a coherently definition of God to claim that anything sinned. You don't know what to praise. You have no clue you are just an Atheist in denial making up some God thing as you go. pathetic..I'd give $1 to see those who claim they are Christians to stop making fictional claims
Consider this: "Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past..." (Romans 3:25 KJV). It is speaking of past sins. Granted, future sins can be forgiven, but only when they are confessed, 1John 1:9 makes that very clear. Note: we are talking about 'known' sin here. Also, sins of unbelievers are not forgiven unless they repent and believe in Jesus. Rom. 3:26 makes that clear.
If our past, present, and future sins are forgiven, then there is no point to repentance after belief; yet believers are instructed to repent. See. 1Jn. 1:9 . And if those who died unbelievers were forgiven, then there is no sense in punishing them for sin. Sin brings condemnation, only those in Christ are no longer under condemnation. Unbelievers remain under condemnation because they don't know Christ, and because they don't know Christ their sin remains; they are not forgiven.
@BiblePost Repentance means to turn away from sin. It is a result of having a born again spirit. "Fruit", if you will. Repentance is not a means of salvation. Faith through grace is. "If you confess with your mouth 'Jesus is Lord' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." All sin was paid for. People are going to hell because they haven't received Jesus' atonement.
@AmericanWayne One doesn't turn away from sin without first changing the way he thinks about sin. Therefore, repentance has to do with changing the way one looks at sin, and then proceeding to allow your actions to be reflective of that change of belief through obedience to God's will. Of course, it is still by grace through faith in Jesus that we are saved, but one still needs to repent in order to believe in Him. And then righteous works will follow to evidence genuine faith. See James 2:17.
@BiblePost Repentance: a change of mind. God repented: Jonah 3. Confession: a part of the program associated with the nation Israel. They had to change their mind about the source of their righteousness.
"25 And it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these commandments before the LORD our God, as he hath commanded us." Deuteronomy 6:25
Israel swore falsely when they said they could hold ALL the commandments and that God could count them righteous according to their performance.
@BiblePost John the Baptist, Jesus Christ in his earthly ministry, Peter preached repentance FOR the remission of sins.
Today, in the dispensation of the grace of God, it's not a sin issue, but a son issue. God isn't holding our sins against us. Why?
1For he (God; the Father) hath made him (God's only begotten son, yet God in the flesh; Jesus Christ) to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be MADE the righteousness of God IN him." 2 Corinthians 5
@ROMANSthruPHILEMON Unbelief is sin! If sin weren't an issue then the words repent wouldn't even be found in the New Testament. Yet even Jesus used them: "Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent..."(Revelation 3:3 NKJV). Even in Matthew 7:21-23 Jesus made it clear that only those who do the will of the father will be saved. How can you do God's while while living in sin? Sin is an issue, and many are deceived thinking that it isn't.
@BiblePost You can't confuse someone's standing (who we (those who are saved) are IN CHRIST) with their state. Their state will always be deplorable, yes, we're told to improve it, but not for salvation.

Jesus Christ in Matthew-John wasn't sent to gentiles: Romans 15:8, Matthew 10:5,15:24, Matthew 4:23, 9:35, Matthew 24:14
@BiblePost Gentiles were excluded back then, IF you didn't bless Israel, work righteous Read Isaiah 60 (millennial reign of Christ)
Read Romans 10:1-5.
Jesus Christ died for our sins, was buried and rose again the third day. For our justification.
The Key is "by the faith of Jesus Christ". That's my faith in HIS faithfulness. He took my sin upon him and met the requirements the law demanded: blood. I in turn was imputed His righteousness. My sin imputed to Him. His righteousness imputed to me.
Hey, AmericanWayne. Yes you DO have to name sins to God, 1John1:9, to stay in FELLOWSHIP. You thus ADMIT you sinned in time, for sins already judged ON the Cross in the past; ADMITTING restores you to fellowship.
God won't grow a soul that refuses to admit sin, 1John1:6,8,10. So your point one can't recall all sins, is valid. So a bizillion times a day I think, 'I've been arrogant, Dad!' in case I slipped up. Keeps the decks clear. :)
@brainouty Thanks for your comment. As you may recall, the first Scripture I used to back up my point of not having to confess all of our sins is 1 John 1:9. That's the very Scripture you use to try and say that you must. When we confess our sins at the time we are born again, he cleanses us from ALL unrighteousness. Jesus died on the cross once. Why are only our past sins forgiven? Is God bound by time? "Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world!" John 1:29
@AmericanWayne Yes, I do recall you said that. If you're interested, I did a playlist on 1John1:9 w/Bible backup from OT forward.
One must rightly divide how 1John1:7 relates to 1:9: DUE TO 1:7, we CAN name sins to God. All the OT saved (believers) did it with animals, not merely words. Hence John's point: since Christ PAID, we don't need animals, now. But (he and) we merely name sins, to be restored to Filling of the Spirit.
It's easy: I do it a many times a day, esp. in Youtube. :)
@brainouty "10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:" Colossians 2
There's no chance that someone IN the body of Christ, can loose their fellowship.... They're COMPLETE. God isn't holding our sins against us.
@brainouty 13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;" Colossians 2.
@brainouty Naming your sins, speaking in general here, as a gentile saved by the gospel of the grace of God, living in the disp. of the grace of God, just shows you're not taking God at his word
@ROMANSthruPHILEMON No, you're the one who's not taking Him at His Word. David and all the believers of the OT, though SAVED, always named their sins to God. In those days, they had to bring an animal.
You really have no clue what the Bible says, and I'm not going to educate you. As I said earlier but you cannot read, a whole 1John1:9 playlist showing the EXTENSIVE documentation, is on my channel page.
You're full of arrogance, and not worth further reply. What JOHN did, you won't do. Bye.
@brainouty "16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ...." Galatians 2:16 The Key is "by the faith of Jesus Christ". That's my faith in HIS faithfulness. He took my sin upon him and met the requirements the law demanded ...blood....I in turn was imputed His righteousness. My sin imputed to Him...His righteousness imputed to me.
@brainouty Ofcourse they were under the law in the OT, and this continues in Matthew-John and Hebrews to Revelation. All Israel, which is now temporarily fallen (Romans 11:11+)you as a gentile were excluded from that program, IF you didn't bless Israel and work righteous. Go read Ephesians 2:12. Our Apostle; Paul. The preaching of (the ascended, glorified) Jesus Christ according to the revelation of the MYSTERY (Romans 16:25) says we're justified by the faith OF Jesus Christ. What he did.
@brainouty "24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel." Matthew 15:24
"5 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not: 6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel." Matthew 10:5-6
"There's no way that you can ask for forgiveness for every sin that you've committed." ? Where is that in the scripture? The wages of sin is death. Your iniquities have separated between you and your God. Sin is the transgression of the law. He that covereth his sins shall not prosper; but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy. Without holiness no man shall see the Lord. Sinners shall not inherit the kingdom of God. With all due respect, I had to share these things...
@wordprophet No problem. I expected disagreement when I posted this. I posted a lot of Scripture throughout my video. If you notice, I clarify that God's grace is no excuse for antinomianism (lawlessness). We must repent. It's the sign of someone who has really been born again. Jesus said "It is finished" when he atoned for our sins on the cross.
You have to understand the difference between willfull and unwillfull sin. Being sinless is product of Salvation. If you find yourself Willfully sinning", then you were never saved in the first place.. You are deceiving youself and many others for which you will be accountable for. May Jesus Enlighten you.
(1Jn 3:8 ESV) Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil.
(1Jn 3:9 ESV) No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God's seed abides in him, and he cannot keep on sinning because he has been born of God.
Friend, if we will be accountable for every sin, how come that we cannot repent of each sin? Jesus said: "But I tell you that every careless word that people speak, they shall give an accounting for it in the day of judgment" Matthew 12:36.
Repent means that you DON'T SIN NO MORE or else you have not repented.
If you keep on sinning you don't know Jesus.
God is angered every day by people who willfully sin. Jesus and God are one, make no mistake my friend. God is only please if we STOP SINNING
@finalcall07 When is the last time you sinned? You are deceived if you think you haven't sinned since you were born again. Just the thought that you don't sin any more is the sin of pride.
@AmericanWayne Friend, when is the last time you heard the voice of Jesus?
Sin is a decision.
What sins do you wilfully commit? Do you steal, lie, cheat, lust? Jesus knows. if we wilfully sin He does not forgive and we will be judged for those sins.
@finalcall07 I hear what you are saying, sir, and I have to disagree with your statement in it's entirety. The letter to the church in Galatia was Apostle Paul's confrontation to Judaizers (people who taught to keep the law as part of their atonement). Please search the Scriptures and find that Jesus is 100% of our atonement. By thinking we have anything to do with our atonement breeds pride and takes away from the wonderful message of the Cross.
@AmericanWayne We will stand before the judgment throne of Jesus my friend and we will be judged by His words only - those are the relevant words. Are you ready right now, if you should die?
@finalcall07 I am ready to be judged. If it were by my own righteousness, I wouldn't be ready but only by the blood of Jesus and the grace of God. Are you saying that only the "red letters" are the relevant part of the Bible? Should we just throw the rest out? I don't go around throwing out the word heresy easily but THAT, kind sir, is heresy if you don't believe the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God.
@AmericanWayne Don't listen to me my friend, take seriously the words of Jesus: “If anyone hears My sayings and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world. “He who rejects Me and does not receive My sayings, has one who judges him; the word I spoke is what will judge him at the last day. " John 12:47,48.
@finalcall07 Jan, you are a false prophet, a deceiver in league with satan! The majority of born again believers on youtube are aware of your tricks,so please stop writing your lies on channels that glorify God! AmericanWayne is biblical and speaks the truth. Jan, you teach the lie of sinless perfection & works salavation;YOU need to repent and you will stand before the judgement seat of Christ & have to account for your deception. You are not saved, you need to ask Jesus to show you the truth!
This video made me uncomfortable.

AmericanWayne 1 year ago

@brainouty 13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;

ROMANSthruPHILEMON 1 year ago

Wonderful video!!! It is by grace through faith we are saved, NOT of works. Thank you Jesus! Amen indeed! :)
Thank you for this truthful, biblical video! All need to watch this video, whether saved or unsaved.

@wordprophet The biggest nut on youtube strikes again. How's that electrical fire in your head?

You have to understand the difference between willfull and unwillfull sin. Being sinless is product of Salvation. If you find yourself Willfully sinning", then you were never saved in the first place.. You are deceiving youself and many others for which you will be accountable for. May Jesus Enlighten you.

(1Jn 3:8 ESV) Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil.
(1Jn 3:9 ESV) No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God's seed abides in him, and he cannot keep on sinning because he has been born of God.
robert03048 1 year ago
(1Jn 3:5 ESV) You know that he appeared to take away sins, and in him there is no sin.
(1Jn 3:6 ESV) No one who abides in him keeps on sinning; no one who keeps on sinning has either seen him or known him.
(1Jn 3:7 ESV) Little children, let no one deceive you. Whoever practices righteousness is righteous, as he is righteous.

God is only please if we STOP SINNING
finalcall07 1 year ago
@finalcall07 When is the last time you sinned? You are deceived if you think you haven't sinned since you were born again. Just the thought that you don't sin any more is the sin of pride.
AmericanWayne 1 year ago
@AmericanWayne Friend, when is the last time you heard the voice of Jesus?
Sin is a decision.
What sins do you wilfully commit? Do you steal, lie, cheat, lust? Jesus knows. if we wilfully sin He does not forgive and we will be judged for those sins.
finalcall07 1 year ago
@finalcall07 I hear what you are saying, sir, and I have to disagree with your statement in it's entirety. The letter to the church in Galatia was Apostle Paul's confrontation to Judaizers (people who taught to keep the law as part of their atonement). Please search the Scriptures and find that Jesus is 100% of our atonement. By thinking we have anything to do with our atonement breeds pride and takes away from the wonderful message of the Cross.

@AmericanWayne We will stand before the judgment throne of Jesus my friend and we will be judged by His words only - those are the relevant words. Are you ready right now, if you should die?
finalcall07 1 year ago
@finalcall07 I am ready to be judged. If it were by my own righteousness, I wouldn't be ready but only by the blood of Jesus and the grace of God. Are you saying that only the "red letters" are the relevant part of the Bible? Should we just throw the rest out? I don't go around throwing out the word heresy easily but THAT, kind sir, is heresy if you don't believe the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God.
AmericanWayne 1 year ago 3

Wow, if that isn't the most heretical thing I've ever heard. You definitely sin because you can never love Jesus as he should be loved.
