This track is by far my favourite along with Molossus.
Listening to it makes me realize how corrupt and unfair this world is to others and even to myself. How many people work in the darkness and no one else notices. Heros die everyday in the world. They could be innocent people, musicians, artists, soldiers and even family members.
We all have our Hero(s).
Hans Zimmer you're an inspiration. Bob Kane, you're a legend.
no, this is your mask, your true face is the one criminals now fear. the man i loved he never came back at all. but maybe one day, when Gotham no longer needs batman, ill see him again.." - Okey , but you must know. Gotham always need Batman :). Sorry Rachel -_-
I still don't understand why they've replaced Katie Holmes. Don't tell me because she didn't act as good as the other actress. She was fine for the role and in the TDN, I never felt her presence. It was just like, where's Rachel Daws. But whatever, BB and TDK were awesome movies, especially with this kind of music!
This is one of my favorite tracks on the CD. Where Bruce re-enters the caves for the first time in years and faces his fear of bats. An epic and moving scene to be sure.
I am a hugh Batman fan and when this movie came out i cringed. I remembered the 80's ones which were a crime and should be deleted from existance. It wasnt advertised well so i saw it when the movie i went to see was sold out. What a truely AWESOME movie. This is the Batman i read about, this is the real true Batman!! Bob Kane would be proud. i rate it 6 out of 5 stars!!!!
"Gotham's been good to our family, but the city's been suffering. People less fortunate than us have been enduring very hard times. So we built a new, cheap, public transportation system to unite the city. And at the center Wayne Tower."
I agree this is part of the score beautifully conjoins with the scene in the monorail with Bruce and his parents. Thomas Wayne monologue about Gotham and their place in the city was amazing.
Just great scene. I'm hoping Batman becomes the center focus point in the sense of point of view. I really loved that about Batman Begins and it proves you can have an ensemble cast and still make a movie following the mind and perspective of Wayne, thats not to say that I don't like TDK.
this is a truly remarkable song. i just bought the Dark Knight soundtrack but when i hear the two i can hear a distinct style for the two films. in particular, the beginning of this track was missing from the second but the Dark Knight had a darker atmospheric tone. you have to appreciate someone who can make you feel emotions through music.
i was just impressed that there is another big hans Zimmer/Fan like myself in this cruel World. And i wanted to drop by and say THANKS a BUNCH!! I mean for posting this Masterpieces of modern Filmmusic. Greetz from Germany Finrod

@bluerock12 I have watched it... omfg I don't just randomly search on this soundtrack for no reason. I know that's what Rachel said and I think that's what stupid. Why cant she just be his fucking girlfriend?-.-' She doesn't have to be such an emotional faithful nutsack little dumb bitch for everything...

This music is there to remind us, just like bruce himself once said to Superman, "I am not like you. I'm just a man."

I'm hoping this tune makes a comeback in dark knight rises, that will focus more on an epic emotional core that was lacking in Dark Knight.

i'm trying to upload the dark knight soundtrack to youtube. how do you convert a music file to a video file?
Blackhound192 2 years ago
I assume you have to make it part of an actual video with a movie making program (like windows movie maker) and then upload that file.
If you haven't yet figured it out, that is.
