  • This track is by far my favourite along with Molossus.

Listening to it makes me realize how corrupt and unfair this world is to others and even to myself. How many people work in the darkness and no one else notices. Heros die everyday in the world. They could be innocent people, musicians, artists, soldiers and even family members.

    We all have our Hero(s).

Hans Zimmer you're an inspiration. Bob Kane, you're a legend.

  • 4.08 - 4.58 and 1.08 - 1.50 best part

  • 4:00 to 5:00 awesomess!

  • I still don't understand why they've replaced Katie Holmes. Don't tell me because she didn't act as good as the other actress. She was fine for the role and in the TDN, I never felt her presence. It was just like, where's Rachel Daws. But whatever, BB and TDK were awesome movies, especially with this kind of music!

  • @sayenshin She chose to act in another film: Mad Money.

  • @SilverBlade784 ouch, I didn't know about that...

  • 1:04

"I think it's time to get up"

    "maybe!"

  • damn james newton howard is TOO GOOD ! too much justice in 1 song.

  • This is so beautiful, it's insane.

  • This is one of my favorite tracks on the CD. Where Bruce re-enters the caves for the first time in years and faces his fear of bats. An epic and moving scene to be sure.

  • BEST PART 1:09 remides me of rachael daws..

  • 4:12 ... awesome!

  • @frandre1 Concentrate!

  • @frandre1 I saw the scene a hundred times only to hear this passage...

  • "feel terror cloud your senses"...

  • I am a hugh Batman fan and when this movie came out i cringed. I remembered the 80's ones which were a crime and should be deleted from existance. It wasnt advertised well so i saw it when the movie i went to see was sold out. What a truely AWESOME movie. This is the Batman i read about, this is the real true Batman!! Bob Kane would be proud. i rate it 6 out of 5 stars!!!!

  • Hans Zimmer is a genius

  • can we have a comment thats not a quote please? oh, me? fine i guess i'll be a high rated comment for you then

  • "Rachel, this man killed my parents. I cannot let that pass. And I need you to understand that, please. "

    Great line.

  • @musicspider911 where did bruce say that

  • @RSixBoy

When Rachel and Bruce have a conversation in the kitchen in Wayne manor shortly before Bruce contemplates on killing Joe Chill during the hearing.

  • @RSixBoy I believe before he was gonna shoot him in the courthouse or someplace....wait maybe it was in a car...shoot *runs to find dvd*

  • Is it just me, or does anybody else think of Michael Jackson's Earth Song when they hear 1:10 to 1:30 ?

  • @iScientist848 Big MJ fan. Not really, but now that you mention it sort of.

  • 4.08-4.58 is absolutely superb, Zimmer at his very best

  • "Gotham's been good to our family, but the city's been suffering. People less fortunate than us have been enduring very hard times. So we built a new, cheap, public transportation system to unite the city. And at the center Wayne Tower."

  • This music is there to remind us, just like bruce himself once said to Superman, "I am not like you. I'm just a man."

  • I'm hoping this tune makes a comeback in dark knight rises, that will focus more on an epic emotional core that was lacking in Dark Knight.

  • @Muskateering

I agree this is part of the score beautifully conjoins with the scene in the monorail with Bruce and his parents. Thomas Wayne monologue about Gotham and their place in the city was amazing.

Just great scene. I'm hoping Batman becomes the center focus point in the sense of point of view. I really loved that about Batman Begins and it proves you can have an ensemble cast and still make a movie following the mind and perspective of Wayne, thats not to say that I don't like TDK.

  • it is so amazing

  • I ran out of tissue.

  • Comment removed

  • Hans Zimmer is modern orchestral genius okay.

  • love the sad emotional beginning and it goes from sad to dark song smoothly

  • Beautiful!

  • this is a truly remarkable song. i just bought the Dark Knight soundtrack but when i hear the two i can hear a distinct style for the two films. in particular, the beginning of this track was missing from the second but the Dark Knight had a darker atmospheric tone. you have to appreciate someone who can make you feel emotions through music.

  • beautifull song i was cry when i hear it :(

  • @johnyasasin

    I do too.... :(

  • love this song, it's so beautiful

    thanks for posting it :)

  • exposition is really moving...

  • Rachel was my favorite character, and then she was killed by the Joker, that bastard.

I feel so sorry for Harvey, look at what the Joker turned him into...

  • i'm trying to upload the dark knight soundtrack to youtube. how do you convert a music file to a video file?

  • I assume you have to make it part of an actual video with a movie making program (like windows movie maker) and then upload that file.

If you haven't yet figured it out, that is.

  • this is one of the most beautiful songs i've ever heard, and is definatley one of my favorites off the album

  • Dear Fingolfin,

i was just impressed that there is another big hans Zimmer/Fan like myself in this cruel World. And i wanted to drop by and say THANKS a BUNCH!! I mean for posting this Masterpieces of modern Filmmusic. Greetz from Germany Finrod

  • Mmmm...i am a Big hans zimmer fan!! Zimmer FTW!! Greetz from Spain

  • @elendillo

I absolutely second you my frnd .. Hans Zimmer is truly fantastic -

  • its sad the girl died on the last movie :(

  • "no, this is your mask, your true face is the one criminals now fear. the man i loved he never came back at all. but maybe one day, when Gotham no longer needs batman, ill see him again..."

    good movie

  • @markyboy146 Katie Holmes better suited the role for Rachel Dawes in my opinion. I will never understand the decision to switch her out. X________x;

  • @Maximus1Decimus

    same here

  • @markyboy146 That part was so sad.. -_-

  • @markyboy146 Sure it's a good movie, but that sentence was just pathethic-.-'

  • @Theelderscrollsftw94 lol, sounds like you haven't watch it.

  • @bluerock12 I have watched it... omfg I don't just randomly search on this soundtrack for no reason. I know that's what Rachel said and I think that's what stupid. Why cant she just be his fucking girlfriend?-.-' She doesn't have to be such an emotional faithful nutsack little dumb bitch for everything...

  • @Theelderscrollsftw94 because she loved the man he was before his parents were killed not the man he is now.

  • @bluerock12 so she's an emotional fiathful nutsack little dumb bitch in other words...

  • @Theelderscrollsftw94 i wouldn't use these words but more or less you got the point. :D

  • @markyboy146 *6 months later...*

    KABOOM!

  • wow....

  • Beautiful. *sobs* ;_;
