OMG, you and all who are with you are Saints and, your rescue is a Godsend to these helpless birds. I came across your videos strictly by accident [somehow they are linked to my own] and I simply can not watch the Aria videos in their entirety; the saddest part was how she still enjoyed being caressed. Hi after watching the video and listening to you speak about Aria I started crying I had a hard time just watching it to the end.God bless you for giving you the courage and strength to keep working with these birds. I assume that sometimes it must get very hard on you emotionally. But try thinking of the joy every day she hears your voice. Keep up the straight and at the same time maybe you can educate people that already have these birds That are having a hard time with there birds

Isn't it bad enough that we have taken away their freedom to fly and procreate ... does the human race have to stoop to the kind of abuse and neglect?? It's despicable ... I couldn't be less proud to be a part of the society we live in. I wish Aria what ever happiness she can find. I'm so sorry Aria.

Please contact us if you are interested and live within driving distance so we can assist in their transition. Both birds are actually doing good for expected, their past living conditions. They are welcome to stay at FCBS for the rest of their lives. We love watching and protecting them! They can't be seperated.
aww i wish i lived close to help. like i said i live in cinci ohio. ive said this once and ill say it again..you are an amazing woman..i dont know how you do it without crying. i would be. peoples stupidy kills me. i will never understand why people do wat they do to these poor lil soles that just want to be loved. breaks my heart
Im sitting here , with tears streaming down my face. Poor Aria and Yoko.I think the pet bird trade is disgusting and should be stopped. People wanting a companion parrot should have a compulsory animal husbandry course, and a premises inspection. Morons need not apply.There are so many abandoned,neglected animals in shelters its appalling.All because the owners bought them on impulse/they were 'cute'babies.When the reach adulthood they are no longer wanted.Please get your birds from a shelter.

Hi, I've been following your work with both of your babies. I was so praying Aria would be ok, You are tuely awesome in your love & caring for these birds. How wonderful that you got them & they can live out the rest of their lives with someone who not only loves them but actually takes the time to see to their comfort & needs. You have been blessed with such a wonderful gift.
I know, I feel the same way. New GREAT news though. We took her to Dr. B because she was itching her nose. He was able to open up her right nasel passage. Who knows how many years she has not been able to breathe through that side? Her energy level seems to taken a turn for the better and she is also more vocal. We are working on textures with her now. She has been exploring her cage and destroying many grass mats. It looks like she is starting to adjust a bit.
We've been following Yoko and Aria's story and was so sad to hear about the loss of her other eye. She sure has such spirit and you are doing such a good job with her. Hugs Aria and birdy kisses!

It really only surprises me a little bit to find out that Aria is really trusting even with both eyes removed, because of the trust she had while still sighted. Such a darling though. When did you find out that Aria was a lady instead of a gent?
She has been here a while now. She acts like a girl. We are not willing to test or take blood to find out. She has been through so much already. Just by the way she acts the last 2 years.
I'm glad she's out of pain now. It's a shame about her loss of vision, but she doesn't appear to be slowed down by it too much. I love all her little mumbling as she's eating.
