Hopefully, we've got a damn tough schedule next year, and even with ever increasing quality recruiting, I wouldn't be surprised to actually see less wins next year. I think we could see another USC-Illinois Bowl game in the next couple of years though, and I'm sure sometime in the next few years you guys will be making a run for the Nat'l title again.

Don't expect Illinois to just be a one and done thing, they're for real. The loss of Mendenhall and Lehman will be tough to overcome, but Zook can straight recruit. He's taking the same approach that Carroll has taken with USC by building the depth chart with speed. It's going to be a fun thing to watch if and when these teams meet again.

As an Illini fan, it's obvious that the better team won the game. But it's also obvious that the game was a lot closer than the score. If Willis and Cumberland don't fumble, it's 24-21 Illinois. The game was VERY competitive, and Illinois showed they were for real...turnovers just absolutely killed them in this game.
