check out the new video of me soloing in a Cherokee 140 at KGBR. I now have over 6 hours solo. next is cross country dual then solo. I did not need to stop using the simulator really. I had a lot of real time while doing aerial photo jobs flying dual. once i had enough concentrated time it all came naturally. simulator has really helped a lot. would love to fly a Cirrus
great video.. I'm about to solo, have flown C172, 152, 172RG, piper warrior, arrow, and cherokee. I love to fly. I have used flight simulator to augment training and I've learned a lot that way, "flown' over 200 aircraft and hundreds of airports. I"ve learned all the instruments in simulator, practice IFR, etc.
@lightcatcher3 Sounds like you are doing great. You sent this message a few weeks ago, sorry for the delayed response. How's your training been since then? I found I had to stop using Flight Simulator for a time during my training because it was distracting me from "feeling" the real landings, which you can't do on your home computer. Not sure if that same thing will affect you, but thought I'd throw it out there.
@SPLNHARD I like them a lot. But as you'll see when I post the next two videos, when flying locally I like the Zulus a lot. They are amazing. But I plan to use the Clarity's when on longer cross countries. Just more comfortable over time.
@debarthepilot Yes, but not solo. I had my CFI go up with me in one of our Warriors just to try it out. A nice solid plane. Since I'm not a small guy, I don't really like not having a door next to me, but that's probably all in my head.
That's so cool that it's Barnes, haha, I've done a solo XC and a night XC to BAF, I fly out of KHVN.

@SpecktrickTube Very cool. It's a great airport to fly into for food AND fuel!

You make it look easy. Is this your cirrus?

@MerkabaStar Sometimes it seems easy, other times not so much! No, I rent this Cirrus and staying current is a challenge.

Another great video Rick! Have you ever flown a Piper before?
