i need help, my flowerhorn seems to stay at the bottom of my 29 gallon tank and seems to only eat sinking foods. he is only 3 inches. idk what to do.

I think he might be scared I use to put a mirror there so he sees someone then when he gets use to it take it out

try not to feed him too much so that when he becomes hungry he will swim and seek for food .

yup. Snagged them on a trip to Arizona. Also giant chunks of driftwood in there (which are from local streams)

I have african cichlids that bite the faces off crayfish and eat all but the claws

How wasteful! Should feed smaller crawfish then.  Claws are good food (especially on blue crab!)

Crawdads are good food! Sometimes you need to be careful to not put one in with huge pincers (even though that'd only be fair to the crawfish, we just want to feed our fish).

yeah the ones with the huge pincers i usually just pull the claws off then feed them the crawdad and claw seperatley.

Nah, he had that come and go when he was young. Kind of like what you see in some midas and red devils.
