  • Lol it's not swedish but japanese "misheard" version made to fit the original swedish lyrics. Always amusing to follow the debate :)

  • @Dethcrush I am swedish and study japanese. Except the first two sentences she is singing in swedish, or trying and doing a pretty good job.

  • @Regnet35 en.wikipedia org/wiki/Caramelldansen#Popularity

  • @Regnet35 No, listen more carefully with good earphones and you'll recognize the difference :)

  • 0:34 DIS SHE SAID "CALL ME GAY"?????

  • @Th3RazZ0r Haha. She said "kom igen" an with a japanese accent it sounds like that yeah. XD

  • Anime Chorus:

Dont tell me Gantz, OLS ate your ratings

You should of known that you'd have competition

Vash will not die, Misa stole my death note and

    Weezing uses cry? NOW CARAMELLDANSEN

  • that's sooo sweet xD I'm swedish and I couldn't stop to giggle x3 I loved it ^_^

  • Best Song to work out to! :D

  • .........oh my god....

  • I recognise a few Japanese words in there

  • first line: onara de lead wa toranpetto = something like "the trumpet is the lead with a fart"

  • I think I like this version better. :D

  • on our school there i a 'talent-day'

& my classmates and i played this song and began to dance - infront of the whole school xDD

  • @TheKingkaiza * is

  • I can pronounce the Swedish accent very well because I'm Indonesian. I can sing this song and I always memorize the lyrics.

  • much clearer then the origal swetish

  • it sounds like 10 year old japonese girls trying to speak swedish

  • the girl just named my name "sasha"

  • yeah i forgot how

  • You now what japan people are crazy like terorists

  • @sashabarasha you cant spell "terrorist"

  • IT'S SO CUTE!!!! Sounds like little japanese girls trying to sing in Swedish :D

  • Am I the only one that thinks that it's hilarious to hear someone that is not swedish (or danish/english/etc), try to speak the language?

    Good job japanese girls! XD

  • now it's "calamelldansen" lulz 

  • D:<

  • Can you imagine how much hell this was for those Japanese girls to sing this in Swedish!???

  • @kittenless is japanese misheard ver of the song. i can vouch b/c i speak japanese and swedish and i understand enough to tell you that 0:33 mentioned the japanese (people) 0:48-0:50 translates to natural melody, 0:52-0:55 was about how they don't need vinegar, they mix some japglish in there and the accent is hard to understand for foreign born japanese speakers

  • @kittenless yes,yes i can

  • Englis!

  • It's a japanese accent guys. I know swedish, japanese can't pronounce a musical language like Swedish correctly, so it sounds different. Like when they say "Dansa med oss" It sounds like "Dansa mi koss" Because they can't do the sounds well.

  • @CartoonCata Actually the words sound the same but have different spellings like melody in jap is merodi but in swedish it's melody.

  • This is aweome in Japanese!

  • i played both the sweedish and this at the exact same time and they do not say the same thing therefore i vote that this is infact japanese

  • O.o LOL xD

  • LOL, I'm from Sweden and I can say that this is in swedish not japanese, is just japanese trying to sing in swedish.

    It sounds so funny!!!!! xD

  • @CartoonCata Actually, its Japanese. It's not Swedish. You can run it through a Japanese translator if you want.

  • @TheMikedomann I can belive you that some of the things they say are japanese, but the part "Dansa med oss, klappa era händer, gör som vi gör ta några steg åt vänster, missa inte changsen, nu är vi här ,med caramell dansen" is in Swedish."

Japanese: Dansa med goss kyappa era hander yo ta mi dori ka nanya fida danser risna o dori misa inte handen meh na me nar me caramelldanden

    WTF?!

    Is swedish NOT japenese! :o

  • it sounds so japanese :)

  • Why is this still Swedish? I thought it would be in Japanese. But, I laughed, 'cause they pronounce it so funny XD

Enough, my swedish sucks hard. To understand the Soramimi phenomena, I recomend you all people to check the wikipedia article. It's quite complete and you could see it's something "usual" in Japan, they make it as some kind of "local joke".

  • errrrrrr you do know that the song is swedish right

  • this is japanese intended to sound as swedish

  • i only listen to this for the cool beat nothing else

  • You're all wrong...they're singing the japanese misheards

  • @ravishing202 no. this is all Japanese language (misheard Lyrics)

original swedish song is really sound like Japanese for us native speaker.

this is why this song became famous.

After Dark - (Åh) När Ni Tar Saken I Egna Händer is also famous song in here.

  • @sijotakane you think swedish sound like japanese? O.O where you from?

  • @Rockdevil27 If you're not swedish, do it better yourself. xD

I think they're doing fine :P Except for the part "U-u-uwa-uwa"....it sounds like they are saying "Uma"...which means HORSE in japanese.

  • @Rockdevil27 OMG it sounds completly like that rofl

  • @Rockdevil27 haha lol true

  • @Rockdevil27 I just literally rofled xDDD

  • @Rockdevil27

  • I HAVE TO LISTEN TO THIS

  • i read off of wikapedia that it was a sweedish song that someone in japan sped up and made up a dance to it and people thought it was funny because some of the words sounded like some japanese words in a certian dialect, or did i read it wrong?

  • @LeadMareLover No trust me, it is 100% japanese. They wanted it to resemble the swedish lyrics. I am a native speaker of both, btw

  • swedish sounds better than i ever thought. O_O

  • This is not japanese, this is swedish...

  • @SweLollipop no, this version is Japanese. and, i can't beleive I'm saying this- but- swedish version sounds freakin BETTER. freak dis crap

  • @shadowhedgehogluv oh, maybe it is in Japanese, but i heard some Swedish words

  • @SweLollipop i think i did as well...

  • My hips are bleeding.

  • It's... still... swedish? WTH is going on? LOL

  • @Ocicat101 omygawd so confuesed! SWEDISH OR JAPANESE JUST CHOOSE ALREADY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Uhh.. you guys realize that this is still swedish? It just has a Japanese accent XD

  • @FABENE145 No really, it IS japanese words that resembles swedish. It is not swedish with japanese accent, it is 100% japanese

  • @FABENE145 no its not idiot

  • @FABENE145 nvm ur right sorry

  • @FABENE145 Read the title 'Still Swedish'

  • @FABENE145 this is NOT swedish. clearly japanese.

  • the german, swedish and english versions are better ...

  • at 0:54, thought they were slapping their tummies.

  • wait this is still in swedish. i thought it was in japanese

  • Anyone else think the chorus sounds like a group of Japanese schoolgirls?

  • @TheIntelife I know they sound like they are like 5 something...

  • This is NOT swedish, everything is actually japanese. Very interesting use of words sounding similiar to the swedish ones. First lines in the chorus; "Balsamico, yappa irahen de!", irahen which means "do not need" in Kansai accent. For some reason this person doesn't need balsamico afterall...And it gets more interesting... ^O^

  • @Mwwee99 no u can hear in the beginning they say nipponjin which is japanese

  • I was expecting it to sound cuter in Japanese but I was wrong.

  • @Mwwee99 it is, I tried listening for jap but found alot of warped swed lyrics lol

  • I'm using this song for figure skating =D

  • The girls scare me..

  • HE HE HE THIS IS AWESOME AND WEIRD AT THE SAME TIME XD

  • Super!!!!!!!!

  • "yours, only yours, yeah, fucking a handbag"

  • I think there are japanese, swedish and even english words in this song, but it is still good to me because it sounds really cool!!

  • wtf .....flash..... :o__

  • Somebody have lyrics this song?

  • ...uuuuummmmm?

    ok?

  • then there was the japanese version -__-"

  • The karamelldance just blew out of proportion didnt it.

But it's not the first piece of swedish music they discover hype up and send across the world like a virus.

Like in the 70's, the japanese dug up something amazingly horrible. Something terrible that a lot of nations were wise enough to let be, and they were careful not to awaken it.

Let me give you a clue. It begins with an A. . . .

    plus a B another B and an A.

    Remember that shitstorm?

  • The original is better but this still pretty cool

  • in sweedish: karamell dans in Japanese: キャラメル ダンス

  • They sing in badly pronounced swedish mixed with japanese.

  • it is japanese, it's just that they use japanese words that would rhyme with the swedish words or sound like the swedish version. (even if the lyrics would be nonsense.).

  • I wonder who are the real caramelldansen girls...

  • I expected this to be more high-pitched considering that the Japanese are quite known for that.

  • thumbs up for this video!! :D

  • ಠ_ಠ not right

  • This is fun because it is just very bad Swedish xD Instead of ''Dansa med oss, klappa era händer gör som vi gör ta bara ett steg åt vänster...'' it is ''Dansig mig oss, klappig ere händer gör some vi göre tag bara stege åt vänster...'' you get it xD

  • @TheXD13 i agree they sing really bad swedish XD så illa ( So Bad )

  • I like Hatsune Miku's version better

  • And thus, the cancer was born.

  • As a swedish person I lost it at 2:05 as I started to laught out of control due to the incorrect prononciation.

  • @Larchll As a Swedish person, you should know that everytime someone tries to improve or even edit something Swedish.... they ruin it in the process.

Wait till December... you'll see what I mean...

  • @Larchll Im kinda laughing at your incorrect English. XD

  • @emolove3319 But then I am not a English person am I? ;D

  • @Larchll ....Touche. XD

  • This has the EXACT lyrics as the original...it just sounds less good.

  • Anyone who think this is japanese is retarded.

  • dayamn! it just blow my mind O_o

  • the quality ain't bad! this is sooooo cool!

  • I can't hear any Japanese in this.

Just the same Sweedish lyrics sung by some asian.

  • @Jevvern As a swede I can say that is not Swedish! My guess is that it is a mondegreen (= misheard lyrics) version. I don't know if it is Japanese or not, but I can tell you, it's not Swedish!

  • @AnswerToNumber It's Japanese and Swedish in the song. Or well so called Swedish... :P

  • @AnswerToNumber it is Swedish, it's just japanese girls singing. Listen again and you'll see. It's REALLY EXTREAMLY bad swedish but I promise you I know what I'm talking about.

  • @TheAzumCookiemonster Yeah, I was hoping they sung it in japanese, but it is indeed sweedish :P Although, good try =P

  • @Jevvern japness is alot like swidish it just sound diffrwent

  • @Jevvern that is japanese.

  • wou mal echtes japano...

  • Caramerudansenu

  • actually this is japanese...

  • I think the Reason people think this song is from Japan is because there are anime girls dancing to it :D Lol

  • This is funny :D
