I agree UCONN and Florida would have been the ideal matchup.. Such is the mad nature of the tourney. . Everybody knows how ruthless that Florida front court was, but I am always impressed at how fucking money Humphrey was. I don't even know how he started for this team. Wasn't Matt Bonner at Florida at around now.? Maybe I am wrong Regardless, Humphrey always killed it in the biggest of games.

Man, UCLA had no business being in this game. Gonzaga had them beat and then started to collapse and then the officials made damn sure the Bruins won that sweet 16 game.

I would have liked to have seen that UConn team play Florida in the final four. UConn was obviously the most talented but apparently, had no fuckin' heart and got beat by George Mason in the elite 8.

@jcaudill6921 I know this comment was posted two years ago, but you might agree with me when I said this past year's UConn/Butler sucked much more. Of course I'm biased to say that because I'm a Kentucky fan and I was sad to see UConn play so well and beat them and then turn around and suck so bad in the championship (I won't talk about how bad Butler played. Imagine if Kentucky beat them and played against Butler... Oh well, "what ifs", blah blah, I can hope for next year.

@Stallion67 They weren't 'dominant.' They were a 3 seed that didn't have to play any good teams in that tournament. They played a 14, 11, a 7, and a very injured one seed, then an 11 and a 2. Dominant is someone like the 96 Kentucky team. That is dominant.

So what about the seeds, they did what they was suppose to do and blew out the lower seeds, and if they played more higher seeds, i feel they would have blowed them out too, they were a great, great team period.

Then guess what? They won it all again a year later. In fact, they're the only team to win 2 championships with the same starting five... in the history of NCAA basketball.
