  • Of course they're a different band. They're different men. Did you expect them to stand still while the rest of the world changed? Nobody does that.

    Their fire and vitality is still evident in their devotion to one another, and to finding new ways to make new music after 30 long years. So it isn't always their best music, every time. That is an oxymoron anyway.

    Sheesh. I am not the world's greatest U2 fan, but even I can see that.

  • Those were the days! God, the whole band was on fire back then! I love it!

  • The U2 I fell madly, passionately in love with when I was 11. The fire that bellowed out of Bono couldn't be beat in those days. I listened to Wham! and Duran Duran and all that, but U2 was my heart. I still love them, but it's not the same, you know? :-)
