I recognise this as the Central line with parts leaving White City and East Acton area, can't miss the A40/M40 flyover which I used to know so well when living in that part of London and now in taxis Wembley and Euston
Love shots from the cab! I did wonder if I could use some of the footage to help market a map I've produced called 'tubular fells'. I'm producing a short presentation combining shots of trains in the Lake District with images from the London underground. The map, for your information shows Alfred Wainwright's 214 fells in the form of a topological, Harry Beck rendition. If I use the footage I'm sure I can give you a map as thanks. Anyway, whatever you think thanks anyway! Peter
Most of the time manualy, but in the tunnels ATO as instructed. Good luck with being a driver, i have to say that this was one of the most thrilling days i can remember. Wish i was young enough to apply !
Sweet. I've been in the cab of a Bakerloo Line train from Elephant and Castle to Oxford Circus, I was with an instructor. I have also driven a D stock train in Upminster depot when I was there with my grandad and his mate taking it for a test run, I got to take the control, it was awesome, thanks for the good luck, I am hoping to work on the Central Line.
Nice but Not Underground, which is also recommended for steak tartare.

@7855waldo - Apology for Streep is offered, if offense taken.
We here in America have a bad habit of making Goddesses out of Mere Impersonators.
"?" - If I'm not mistaken, the meat is "ground" before it is fashioned into a Steak Tartare.
Don't forget the capers!
Speaking of capers, an apology for Streep...

@7855waldo Hi, No offense taken, just didn't understand the point being made, I like my staek well done/ Burnt ( I must be a heathen )
oggy1953 3 months ago
@oggy1953 - Better burnt than none at all...
Steak au poivre as you may know is smothered in cracked peppercorns.
@ 20 years ago, after the previous twenty produced $5.00 in salaries and tips, we finally were able to eat out once in a while.
Vaguely remembering what it was, I ordered s.a.p.
When the waitress brought it out from the kitchen, without looking at it, I asked her for a pepper mill!

@7855waldo Ha Ha, Don't know much about steak - too damn expensive over here.

Great vid! I don't live anywhere near London so I don't know, but do some of the London underground trains go overground????
benowahoo 1 year ago
@benowahoo I'm not sure but i believe more miles are overground than underground. Perhaps it should be re-named the Underoverground LOL
oggy1953 1 year ago 2
@benowahoo 58% of underground track is actually overground - that's 146 of 253 miles.
