  • The lightning jack is the ultimate key to a coyotes heart!

  • reading the comments some people need a little learning. Usually there is never an "instant" kill unless the central nervous system is taken out, like the spine or brain. When you see an animal drop instantly from a chest shot it is because the shock wave travels to the cns and knocks it unconscious and they bleed out b4 they wake up. Sometimes they dont get knocked out from the shock and will run untill they bleed out. This coyote just didnt get the initial knock out shock, thats all.

  • I have one 22-250 which is very accurate gun indeed . I have shot small deers at about 300 yards head shot always

  • Where is this place located? city state. It's beautiful

  • @jmdaniel911 This spot is located in Northern California outside a town called Red Bluff. It is a private 6000 acre cattle ranch.

  • @BgBamBoo

Love the open area and not dense in trees makes hunting these varmint easier

  • @BgBamBoo what ammo do you use with the .243 that still saves the hide?

  • what bipod do u have

  • @PervertedDweeb Hello. That is not a bipod that attaches to the rifle. It is a Stoney Point "Pole Cat". Works very well. Been using it for a long time.

  • Like this video. Good shooting on both the gun and the camera

  • @tofazfou Thanks. I hope to post some new hunting videos soon. Take care

  • are these coyotes a pest species like foxes or a hunting season animal

  • @TheOctoman34 They are a pest...way worse then fox. No season. You can hunt them year round. Some states you can hunt them without a hunting lic. Here in CA. you have to have a hunting lic., but that is it.

  • What is the kick of the .243 compared to .308? I have the Tikka t3 lite in .308 and I like it very much, but I would like even less kick. I had a Saiga in.223 but sold it because it wasnt very accurate. But when shooting the .223 caliber it had so little kick, that It felt like a BB gun and I think I could even improve my accuracy on a rifle with such a small kick. So how does the .243 compare to .223 and .308 in terms of kick in your opinion?

  • @Igoman1984 Hello. I have owned many .308's. Recoil is a very subjective thing. What one person thinks of a hard recoiling round might seem like nothing to another. So...that being said...for me the .243 has about half the recoil of a .308 when everything else is equal (rifles weighing the same, same stock,etc.). The .243 is a very versatile round. With the heavy bullets you can use it on deer size game and with lighter bullets it is a great varmint round. Take care,Stan

  • thats awesome

  • man i want to hunt there..lol. Just curious what state was that in??

  • @waltjackson3 Hello. We are in Nor. Calif.

  • what state is this in???

  • how far was that shot? did u really need a scope?

  • @frodo70444 150 yards...yes...I "really need" a scope. Whats your point?

  • @BgBamBoo i just anti scope lol

  • man you put the hammer down on that sucker

  • got a question for you. how long should i stick with a call... like continuous repating of the call? cause seems like no matter how long i play it or which one i play they wont respond, and im even using a foxpro spitfire.

  • @bornofhalo You will need to find out what works for your area. Around here we play it loud and continuously. Also...are you in an area with coyotes? May seem like a silly question but many times you might be trying to call an area that has been "called out". Are you calling on private land or public? Just stick with it. Happy hunting,Stan

  • @BgBamBoo the area i hunt in is loaded in my opinion. at night some times we here loads of coyotes goin crazy so i dont think it is that, but i later did find out that some guys ran there dogs through the forest a little before we went hunting so maybe the coyotes smelled the dogs and didnt fell like comin out. thanks for repsonding to my question.

  • @bornofhalo The dogs could have chased/scared the coyotes away for sure. Just stick with it. The first time you call one it will be VERY exciting for you. Heck...it still gets my heart going every time. Did you check out my latest video? Got a bobcat. Take care,Stan

  • Hello figured i w ould drop you a line here. Looks like you guys enjoy coyote hunting just as much as I do. Only wish we had the same type of conditions that you do. Lots and lots of coyotes but right now hip deep in snow, makes it tough to get into a spot quiet without a snow machine. Must b nice to b able to walk anywhere all year long like that. Was wondering if you had ever used a 204 for hunting coyotes? Have one and love it. Anyway good vids. Keep em coming.

  • @kenfortmac34 Yes...we are blessed with beautiful area to hunt in. Unfortunately we are located in Calif. Lots of gun laws, etc. I have never used or shot a .204. But there are many folks who use them with great success for coyote and other small(er) animals. Stay warm and good hunting, Stan

  • Hey Stan, I am 13 going on 14 and i wanted to know what the lowest caliber for hunting deeer is and i was wondering if i should get a .223 or a .243.

  • @Tcarpenter8 For deer I would lean towards the .243. It will give you a bit more "error wiggle room" then the .223. With a .223 you will have to be VERY sure of your distance and shot placement. Good hunting! Take care,Stan

  • SEI UN FIGLIO DI PUTTANA

  • @ale4avar LOL...and to you "sir" I say: Vaffanculo figlio di puttana pezzo di merda !

  • wats that noise in the backround?

  • @Alex7398xp ??? The call? Used a FoxPro OCC e-call for this hunt. Take care,Stan

  • I see a lot more than 2 yotes! Everything in this video is a yote! Prokaryote, that is!

  • @Keitaro2011 Er... Eukaryote, I mean!

  • Awesome video. I use a Remington R15 in .223, I need to get a Tikka.

  • @MrAnimalControl Nothing wrong with your R15 for coyotes. Take care,Stan

  • Them 'yotes don't run near as fast once you let the air out of 'em. 8^)

  • GREAT!!!

  • what grain shells you using?

  • @buffalocountybucks Those where 75gr Hornady hollow points. Take care,Stan

  • SCREAM, AIM, SHOOT

  • what scope bases, rings, and scope is on it?

  • @traxxasmichael Hello. The scope is a Bushnell Elite 6500 2.5-16X. Warne rings. And EGW 20 MOA base. Take care,Stan

  • Comment removed

  • HAHAHAHA "WOOF!" "What?" BOOM!!

  • @TheHoppingFlyFisher1 Thats what its all about! BANG!!! flop! Take care,Stan

  • does the .243 make a big mess outta these guys?

  • @ibanezkid07 For the most part...YES! LOL. I used 75gr hollow points and they make a nasty exit....uhhh...hole. Check out my other videos. There is one with a bunch of pics...the .243 is NOT fur friendly. Take care

  • fate una bella cosa: sparatevi in bocca!

  • @CicileuZ

concordo in pieno guarda questi figli di troia!

  • @gioinna sì, guardate questi due italiani stronzo che vorrebbero poter essere essere americani capitalista. Ma no, hanno a piangere come bambine qui su youtube!

  • 243 for elk? and max range for elk?

  • @bmetstud Elk?? Where in the video do you see or hear about elk?? This is a COYOTE video and I use my .243 for that...not elk.

  • @BgBamBoo no , would you use a 243 for elk? and max range for elk would you use it on?

  • @bmetstud wouldnt use it for elk

  • @chevguy502 You bet! I just posted up our latest hunt...check it out. And we use the WOOF!! to stop him with. Take care,Stan

  • @bmetstud the smallest gun I would use on elk is a .270, but I don't have them here, only moose that you can hunt in a lottery

  • Awesome shot! I have been hunting deer for about 6 years with a cheap Braztech 243 win. I am now thinking about getting the Tikka T3 Lite stainless .243, looks like an awesome gun. Do you know if I can get one in Realtree camo or another type of camo? Thanks.

  • @BigCatsWildlife I do believe they offer the T3 Lite in a cammo version. Check out Bud's Gun Shop online as they carry a large selection of Tikka's. Take care

  • I thought that was coyotes crying but that was the predator call right? where did you set it up as it seemed a bi far off in the distance is that how it is suppose to be set up or is that your own personal choice where you put it !? great video!

  • @3030indaface Yes...it is a FoxPro e-call. It was about 100 yards in front of us. The coyote was heading right for it until my friend "woofed" at him and he stopped. The yote was about 150 yards from me when I shot it. I am into long range shooting (see my other videos) and like to put the call out there a ways so I can take longer shots at them. Take care.

  • what kind of bipod do you have on there? I've got a T3 in 30.06...love it

  • @wavelength1970 It is the Stoney Point "Pole Cat" shooting sticks. Not attached to the rifle. Works very well for shooting from the seated position.

  • Beauty.. I am thinking of getting a Tikka T3 in a .243 cal but am torn between that and a Remington 700SPS.. thoughts?

  • @NerdHunter87 If your looking for out-of-the-box accuracy, then the Tikka is a lot of bang for the buck. I have owned three of them (down to one right now in .223) and all of them will shoot sub 1/2" five shot groups @ 100 yards with quality, factory ammo. I have owned some nice Remmy 700, but all of them took some work to get them to shoot really well. If you plan on upgrading/modifying your rifle then the Remmy has more aftermarket support. Take care.

  • @NerdHunter87 Get the Tikka bro.....AWESOME accuracy! I just got a new T3 stainless syn in .243 and am absolutely stoked with it!

  • haha i love his woop to get coyotes to stop

  • I love those 243's man! I have on in a remington 700 bdl. Thanks for the video.

  • very nice...that foxpro brought him right in there. gotta get me one! good shooting too!

  • Surprised the second one stuck around as long as he did.

  • Nice shot mate. How far do u reckon it was?

  • It was about 120 yards...or about 110 meters.

  • Nor cal is where it's at. I coyote hunt in the b1 zone

  • Where is this at?

  • In No. Calif. West of a small town called Red Bluff on a cattle ranch.

  • I have no idea how you got lucky enough for that coyote to stay their for as long as it did before you shot.

  • Always wanted to Coyote hunt. Dont really live in an area they're in though. So I stick to squirrels, deer, and the occasional rabid raccoon.

  • coyotes live in all 50 states... you have deer? man you should have yotes? Make a trip to Texas... all the yotes you can kill.. Learn to call, good rifle, yer there!

  • @idotman12 Holly shit come to Michigan, their terrible here!!!

  • Nicely done

  • Nice job man...I'll take the old FoxPro off your hands. :)

  • beautiful animals :)

  • I don't mind the watching it, it's just the issue of letting it experience the extended death. Everything dies eventually, but it just seems cruel to let it sit and die a slow death if a quicker death is possible. This is just me though. I'm not trying to tell anyone how they should hunt, like PETA. Then again, PETA wouldn't even want you to hunt in the first place...

  • I really only use the "Lightning Jack" and then after a shot or if I do not get a response from the LJ I use the coyote pup distress call. Those seem the work the best fro around here. Take care.

  • what kinda call do you use and how much was it

  • In this vid I was using the FoxPro OCC...about $600.00 I am now using the FoxPro Prairie Blaster...about $700.00.

  • P.S. I'm contemplating a Tikka T3 Lite as my first precision rifle (and first personally owned rifle for that matter) and have seen nothing but good reviews. It being a lighter gun though, how is the kick?

  • "kick" aka recoil is very subjective. I am a pretty big guy...6'2" 220 lbs. So shooting anything up to a 30-06 does not bother me. This rifle in the video has a 16 1/2 barrel and a muzzle break. Feels like shooting a .223.

  • Nice shot. Although I would have personally hit it again to try and kill it asap, unless I had a personal grudge with it. Nice hit though.

  • See below comment...you guys obviously do not hunt much. He died within seconds...shooting it again will not do anything. He was hit in the heart/lung area....it takes a few sec.'s for them to bleed out.

  • As a matter of fact, I have never hunted. I would like to though. I don't have a problem shooting it, but I wouldn't let it sit to die slowly. If it died within seconds though, a second shot would be unnecessary.

  • ya he was dead within seconds. Nice shot, I use a ruger M77 Target in .243 for yotes. Its to heavy for some, but im a big guy also. So a little weight and or recoil dont bother me much either. Put the hammer down on his butt.

  • i like how you shoot him once and then just leave him there to suffer...

  • Well from your comment you have never hunted coyotes...or anything else I would venture to say. Most animals when hit in the vitals still have 10 sec. to a few min.'s of "life left in them. They are running on adrenaline at that point. Shooting them a 2nd time is a waste of ammo and does nothing to spped up the "kill". Know what your talking about before opening your pie hole and showing the world your ignorance.

  • Did you not see it go down?. That means it died.

  • @Dylonthevillon at what part in the video was anything suffering?

  • I am using Hornady 75gr hollow point bullets.

  • how big roughly is a coyote? i live in australia so ive never seen 1 in real life

  • Around here (No. Calif.) a large coyote will be 30-35 lbs.

  • Cool..

  • Just as the letter counter ran out.......what i was attempting to state.....Is..... "You Hunt in OZ.....that makes you a TRUE enviromentalist......much to the dismay of thefringe -dwelling- greenie tree huggers that can only whing and harp on like an outta-control mother in law.....

  • Like That "WHISTELLING"... US southern cousins...here Down under, do a simmar thing with wild(Gone wild/feral) dogs ...Me mostly with the tin rabbit whistle....but howling too hits the spot....Ahhhh , and the T-3 .243w right outta the box does all i need , even with factory ammo..........take a trip south you,,,,Buffalo, camels, donkeys, goats, wild dogs, cats (Wild pigs, rabbits, haresplus too many species to0 list(feathered as wel)...you hunt down here , you are an enviromental

  • It is called a FoXPro electronic call...your watching a video on coyote hunting...one would think YOU ARE into coyote hunting...so one would think you would know how to hunt coyotes....you have to call them to you...hence the use of a electronic call.

  • Im going coyote hunting soon with my .243 and my cousins bringing some calls and his 30-06 hope we get one there bad here in oklahoma especialy at my place ill see if i can get a video up to :)

  • beautiful area but man that call is creepy off in the distance haha

  • yeah!.....can't get enough of it!

  • In Nor. Calif.

  • Nice video what state u guys in?
