  • COULD THIS BE ANY GODDAM SLOWER?

  • haha the knife is clean!

  • veramente magnifica.. da i brividi..

  • The Tenor in this performance is Giaccomo (Jaime) Arragal. Unfortunately he is not at the same lever as Marton and Vixel, so the performance is a little unbalanced in that part.

Marton's prime lasted longer than that. There are recordings from 1970 on that show that indeed that woman was fantastic. She was one of the best Toscas of her generation and probably (along with D. Kirsten) one of the most beautiful women to ever play the role.

  • @tenore23 COMPLETELY disagree about what you say of Aragall. That he could do a few things better, that´s something else. But not at the same level?... COMPLETELY not true!

  • she's fearsome in this role! (and so is that table!!)

  • Scarpia was just so seductive when I was in it. Wixell looks like Mozart... but I guess it's better that way. Haha. Looks like he was about to keel over anyway!

  • So much power! in volume. Ingvar as an example; its are right if you cant hit a high A if you can tear the wallpaper off the wall with your free power and breath!

  • BIG voice on that woman...

  • Who is Cavaradossi? Wixell is good as I never seen him. And I think this is the best Marton.

  • i like her in this aria,

  • the lighting should have been darker

  • She had a good 15 years starting with around 1975 till about 1990

  • Another reason to lament the brevity of Marton's prime. At her best, she was a prima donna assoluta.
