Very nice video and sound. It took a lot of searching through the garbage b4 I found it! But so glad I kept searching!!!! Well done!!! Thanks for posting!!
I miss him so much. I used to wait for his movies to be released, then I would see them as many times as I could before the program changed. I don't care about their personal lives, Elvis and Michael Jackson are gone, and the world is not as good as it used to be when they were here. If there is a heaven, you know they are there.
Had the pleasure of hearing Eddie Rabbit do this song live at the MusicFest in Memphis around 1980 or so. He talked about writing this song and how young he actually was when Elvis recorded it. Great song.
What a song and singer-the greatest entertainer ever! Not only the King, but a great, compassionate soul. Elvis was one of a kind, and an artist of which will never have so much influence on music or artist!
Dave here. I assume "in the style of" means this is another Elvis impersonator. If it is, he's the best I've heard since Terry Stafford ("Suspicion.") Without that qualification, I wouldn't have known the difference, but then I've never been a great Elvis fan, though I like this song a lot. The song that, to me, is the essence of Elvis is "(Marie's the Name of) His Latest Flame." Elvis wrapped up in a single song.
@Myrtle791 I, too, wondered what "in the style of" meant. Makes no difference really. This is Elvis Presley singing. There are no good impersonator's, only foolish guys thinkng they can mimic Elvis. Only the real deal will do.
As well as a song that brings out a gasp when one first hears it I always thought it would be a great premise for a TV series. Imagine a man waking up in a motel room to discover that his significant other as gone and then goes looking for her. The song lyrics would provide the premise and the plot arcs are limitless. Supernatural? Aliens? The government? And of course why would any woman leave Elivs? Just a bit of whimsy.
Ever heard of a man named Rick Astley? You should look him up on here. He's got a song called "Never Gonna Give You Up". I like it, and think it's pretty cool. However, some people don't.. and use it on random videos.
For example, say I wanted to watch Barney (Lol.) and about 30 seconds into the video, it stopped playing Barney (Lol.) and cut to Rick Astley. This is called RickRolling. I don't do it, 'cause I like the guy, and it's kinda mean..
Thank you for viewing and appreciating my videos. I don't put a whole lot of work into them, but I do like to enrich peoples' lives with The King's music. Why not add some pictures? Haha.
This was the first song I had ever heard of Elvis' when I was 5 yrs old. It made me cry back then, and even now 23 yrs later I still get a tear listening to the emotion he gave in his music. There will NEVER be another performer with the love and emotion that E put into the songs he sang...Even if he didn't originate the music he sang, he made them his own. RIP ELVIS PRESLEY!
@hotbkd released in january 1970 but recorded in janaury or february 1969 at the great memphis recording studio where he recorded great hits like suspicious minds , dont cry daddy and in the ghetto. and some lesser known great songs like inherit the wind, stranger in my hometown, power of my love, who am i?, mama liked the roses, any day now. to name a few.
What I great powerful song. I do lots of Elvis and a few shows, but this song I haven't done for a while but will be putting it on my list for Aug.21st as i do my next show.
There is only one King sorry you are gone but never forgotten.
