  • always wanted to do polo, i think i should stay with barrel racing tho

  • Dude i wanted to do this soooo bad!!! My little arab can beat all them thoroughbreds!!! lol hes just to dern short XD Id be able to hit the ball easier, but we would be smooshed!! Such close contact in this sport the horses are soo awesome that they can handle it!

  • One of my friends broke both legs qhen playing

  • I have an argentine polo pony, she is now 26 and still being ridden... really don't know much about polo but, all we know about her is that she's registered with hurlingham polo society or summit and has been fired, so she must have been good?(':

  • what kinda person likes to watch that kind of sport? i think the same for the curling as well.

  • I...have no idea what I just watched.

  • Polo games are positively thrilling aren't they!

  • god, i can barley hit a ball on da ground, let-a-lone on a horse!

  • Polo Horses are probably the animals that are the best treated next to dogs. And yes polo horses do enjoy the sport as well

  • @smileykillz Of course, same with the top dressage horses and jumpers. People are going to take care of animals that cost over 1 mil.

  • @TheLights045 If you payed 1 mil on a polo horse you got screwed

Don't get me wrong i love my polo ponies but they just dont get that expensive

  • let's go play polo chaps.

  • @crazycappy44 - Really... what specifically are you seeing that makes you ill? In what way would you treat these horses? What is your experience with horses or other working animals? Are you a vet or animal psychologist? If you have an informed opinion please share it. If on the other hand you have no experience with working animals, please keep your uninformed opinion to yourself and be aware that with no education on the subject you are not in a position to pass judgement.

  • @ErieRadio

i actually have an ex polo pony. we have been trying to get over the fear of other horses coming at us for about a year and a half now. he has one scar on his soulder from a malet and anouther on his stomach from when another horse ran directly into him. i personally dont think that these horses enjoy it, because he also has ulcers in his stomach when he gets to stressed out.

  • this makes me sick to my stomach....

i was to barf on these people the way they treat their animals!

  • @CrazyCappy44 theyre not really treating their horses that bad at all? i dont know what youre seing.

these horses are trained for this. as such they listen to their riders bodys more than their hands and thus they are not pulled in the mouth that much or at all. this is clearly shown in this video. trust me there is much, MUCH worse treatment of animals out there, this should be the least of your worries.....

  • @CrazyCappy44 haha it's apparent you have NO experience with horses or horse polo. Horses love to run and are very enthusiastic to learn a new sport... and secondly- those who love to play horse polo, play the sport because they LOVE horses.

  • @CrazyCappy44 It really isn't a cruel sport and they are treated very well, completely different from horse racing which I am completely against. I'm sorry to hear about your pony, but of course there are exceptions, some people abuse their pet dogs, doesn't mean everyone does. And with polo you need control and you need a horse that is willing and trusts you, just like in dressage and show jumping and eventing, not like a race horse where you can just beat the shit out of them.

  • how beautiful is this?

  • im 11,and im going to play polo when warmer weather comes to new jersey, and my mom says do u have to have youre own horse?and my horse is a bit big for polo.(hes a standerdbred/thoroughbred cross).

  • @horsecrazy4011

Here in Phoenix the Azteca Polo Club has lots of horses that they rent to the players. I'd bet that your local club will also let you rent horses as well.

  • hhmm cool

  • is there a certain age you have to be to play polo?

  • @EquitationRider462

I don't think so. I've practiced with a young guy that I think was about 9 years old. I play a lot with a guy that is 24 and says he's been playing polo for more than 10 years.

  • obviously, for playing polo you have to be a really good horserider in order to have the balance needed

  • I thought that this was the gayest/whitest sport ever invented. Even though it is pretty white it seems to accualy be pretty intense.

  • @BHSE23

I'll tell you that it IS pretty intense. It gets your adreniline pumping.

I know what you mean about it being sort of WASP like but it was invented by the central asians. Plus, the best people in the world at polo are Argentines.

  • @BHSE23 ha i know this is from a year ago but the sport was originated in peru

  • @BHSE23 nvm i meant persia lol

  • i go to polo all the time i love it such a great sport!!!

  • My dad travels all around for polo and its not cheap he's only 4 goals

  • 4 goals is still pretty good

  • i wish i could play polo. by reading about it, i think its fun to play

  • well you look like you made it! i wish i could be like you.i´m just apoor guy, i work hard for my family! but in the end of the month i hope that my son have enogh to eat... but i always dream of better times!

  • Polo is a sport .. not a lifestyle .. you are doing the very best you can for your family. Abundant blessings upon you .. And never stop dreaming
