MMF 2 has a good fast engine, and it's easier [less cryptic] to use more so than most every other tool out. Still not easy to make good games with, it's up to the skill of the user, but this is what you get with advanced MMF knowledge...
I have to say, MMF2 games rarely blow me away, but this one Definitely blew my mind!
Stylization! The Stylization! My God, the Stylization!! And the coding! Your multi-sprite coding is seamless. I especially appreciated how the boss recoiled with every blow, and how the camera followed the explosion. Keep up the good work; you BETTER finish this!!
honestly, you and taco make the most memorable games I've ever seen.
@ThatGuyOverThere123 Wow, I'm surprised I've gotten the attention from a popular MMF2 designer. :]
You have a lot of spotlight for The Way Back game, one of my friends mentions it a lot, too.
I'm really glad you like the footage, it indeed has been a bit of a while since I worked on this one, mainly because I can't rely on Taco to do much of use. Also, his ideas and thinking contrast greatly to mine, so compromise is seldom found.
Haha Anyways, MUCH appreciation for the compliments! :D
@Paco19900 - I can't go into detail w/o hiring you first. Let's just say it's a fan game for a very popular character that hasn't YET been made into a fangame by anyone. I'd be managing all the art assets on the game, including level layout & even BGM. I just need someone who's really good at coding, in a game akin to the likes of Castlevania & Revenge of Shinobi w/ a little bit of brawling thrown into the mix. Again, you'd be hired and paid for your work.
Man, this is totally primo-supremo! I can't believe how defined the characters and their moves are in a BETA!!! I honestly can't believe you made this with MMF, it usually crashed before I could ever get anything this detailed out of it. Though maybe I just didn't know what I was doing. The boss is also a pretty decent level-1 boss love the pieces effects done with it.
Any rate I hope you don't abandon this because I definitely want to play this game now, or whatever this might evolve into.
@TheTC That was prolly one of the best comments I've gotten on this game's footage. Thank you very much!
The animation is certainly a feature I spent a lot of time addressing, and I'm glad it is recognized.
This is indeed a fairly early beta, and even though it spent a considerable amount of time on the shelf, I have applied a good amount of updates to it recently.
Perhaps in the near future I can provide a newer video, since there is indeed a number of significant changes.
Could you please redirect me to a tutorial that might help me to create a game similar to this?

Are you going to finish this? If you haven't.

I would like to hire you for a fan game I'm making.
If interested, please message me.

@Guernicaman I'm not sure if I actually have the time to take up projects, but I would love to hear all about what you have planned.
I always like knowing what people are doing these days with MMF2, it's been a bit quiet these days.

@hypersonic64 Wow, much appreciated. I never thought I'd be compared to some of Konjak's work, so that's a big compliment!
