@ipscMadman Actually, it did engage the half-cock notch after it slipped off of my finger, but it's only about a quarter of an inch from the firing pin so you probably couldn't see it in the video.
@boyetaquino This is real Damascus steel imported by Caspian Arms as BAR-STOCK an machined into 1911 slides. The slides are sent out to Gene Shuey for acid ectching and hand polish to achieve that dramatic finish. He is truly the best you will find to finish the Damascus.
I've met Virgil Tripp past owner of STI, and he was a very nice person. I also have one of the first STI pistols receivers made.Your pistol is an excellent example of a well thought out plan to build a dream pistol. I love the barrel dust cover on the receiver, great job and thanks for posting.
