It slows down heart rate, pumping less blood, and the body/brain is able to survive because it needs less oxygen. It would have been better for the baby to be in the fridge since it was premature and not on a respirator, since they thought the baby had died.

Unbelievable as it may seem,at times this happens,even in modern hospitals with the best of services and doctors and nurses. I have looked after babies left initially for dead. It is a shame and perhaps the extra time gave the parents some comfort to be with their child.

Obama has passed laws that will allow any baby aborted, even full term, to lie on a counter until it dies. If the mother doesn't want it, no one legally can save it. If you think this mishap is terrible, we have people doing this on purpose right here in America and possibly the UK too.

@Pow3rGaming THIS happens a LOT--all criteria for pronouncing a death is met, they call them dead. and as family is walking in--ta da, pts heart starts beating, she's gasping for air (in FL) happens a LOT in morgues-obv before autopsy, but no one negligent, they WERE legally dead, somehow, heart blips back online--they find a lot of clawed up caskets when they move cemetaries-this is one reason why

Unbelievable as it may seem,at times this happens,even in modern hospitals with the best of services and doctors and nurses. I have looked after babies left initially for dead. It is a shame and perhaps the extra time gave the parents some comfort to be with their child.

i dont know what to say except for i feel sorry for the parents because i know how it feels to lose a child and could not imagine one coming back to life only to lose it and go throught the heartache again, Not to mention the fact that in my opinion this has nothing to do with race or religion. C'mon people lets grow up and be adults.

I think doctors are only human tho and everyone makes mistakes like this its just very unfortunate. I think heartbeats and pulses can often seem so faint that it is hard for them to feel 2. Atleast they got a little bit longer to spend with their daughter
