One thing Fantasia did while she was on the show was show how SOULFUL music or "Music for the soul" is to be sung. If i'm being honest, NO ONE out of ALL THE SEASONS of American Idol has sung with as much emotion, feeling and left everything on the stage as Fantasia constantly did. She constantly made Paula, the audience and fans cry just from singing because she always sang as if she was telling a story through her experience. THAT is soulful music without dancing half naked and gyrating folks.

I liked Fantasia from the begining, but I have the feeling she starts like yelling when she delivers the gospel ending. What happened to her? She won that year, but Jennifer Hudson, who was kicked after that show, even won an Oscar!

I always lol at Simon using the word 'danger' to describe Fantasia's effect on our senses. I know he meant excitement, but in my mind I always think, he just said she was dangerous!

This performance was hot the first time I saw it 5 years ago, but it gets better and better every time I see it. One of my favorites.

Damn she was good, and I definitely think she overcame the most adversity in this competion out of all the winners, considering she was in the bottom 2 at least 5 times. At the time I was more of a Hudson, Latoya fan (even though I still LOVE THEM), but when I look back at it, I think they actually got it right with Fantasia. That was amazing. She may not have had the best success like some AI winners, but has the best story out of all of them

Fantasia is too complicated for the American music-buying crowd. They want simple, boring, safe music and Fantasia is daring, bold, and unique. Fantasia may not reach Britney Spears-like record sales, but she's ALWAYS going to have a fan-base because for every Miley Cyrus fan, there's a fan of REAL music and REAL talent. And supeficiality, Fantasia isn't conventionally pretty so that counts against her. Anyone who doesn't listen to her, it's their loss. Tasia's fans know she's loving & talented.
