  • This Original poster slags off Lennon in every title of each video. Why would you spend so much time and effort posting Lennon videos if you don't like him? sad twat

  • I find that John is easier to like as long as you just accept him as an ordinary bloke. Which he, for the most part, was. Very musically talented, but aside from that as flawed as most people. Some folks get mad at him for being a "jerk" or "hypocrite" or whatever else, but that's mostly because they expect too much. Lennon was never a good philosopher, and he wasn't terribly well-read. But one can still appreciate him for his odd quirks and his humanity.

  • I've always liked John Lennons music, but in some interviews he strikes me as a 'babbling intellectual' that's not as smart as he thinks he is.

  • "Oh I think you're wrong about that". "Oh, I don't care".... lmao!

  • they thought the world was over populated THEN? D:

  • John was absolutely right and Dick wrong, overpopulation is indeed a complete myth. The problem is poor distribution of resources and over concentration of population in small areas. The earth has room to comfortably house over 200 billion people without intruding open plains, mountain ranges, farms, jungles, forests, etc... The current population of 7 billion standing side-by-side & front-to-back can fit in an area slightly larger than the size of Jacksonville Florida, or housed in Montana.

  • I was prepared to be annoyed by what they were both going to say about overpopulation, but they surprised me - good for them.

  • "oh I don't care " lol !! I love you John !

  • спасибо!

  • I think anybody who wanted to put John Lennon in an awkward position were in for a rough awakening - his wit was lightning fast.

  • 3.53 john lennon "that no lady, thats a ma..." then woman stands up

  • THE OVERPOPULATION RESPONSE WAS SPOT ON. WE ARE TALKING ABOUT IT NOW.AND WILL DO IN 20 YEARS TIME. BUT WE DONT REALLY DISCUSS HOW TO ADDRESS THE " BALANCE " PROBLEM. brilliant from both john and yoko

  • "and some of them can go to the moon anway" "cornflakes" "oh I don't care" just lovely. Made me laugh. World Peace!

  • corn flakes

  • 8:31 - he's sweaty in his armpit area xD

sorry, i had to state that out... :)

  • I find his intellegence sexy..lol

  • BOTH their opinions are actually kinda funny.. whats funnier is that people actually out any credibility into their opinions at ALL

  • I think he was narcissistic.

  • @ProducShuns @juliosammy very observant .. and TRUE.. as the years pass, people realize that a lot of his character was more hypocritical and self absorbed than the opposite.I grew up with them in my life daily in the 60s.. and when you DO grow up you tend to see things as they really are.And for as much as he "hates" so many thing and is opinionated about them, THATS where the hyocricy comes in... i mean SERIOUSLY;the way SO many hang off his every word.. STILL.. get over it.

  • @strangecluesinfriday Anyone with sense knows that John wasn't perfect. But he didn't claim to be.

  • @monkeycrud Just as anyone with an open mind can get passed the "hero worship crap" to see what a NOT nice person and hypocrite he really was.As for losing his mother,so did McCartney.BUT he never made such a cae about it and didnt let it cripple him emotionally.MANY have lost one or both parent and didnt have global fame and massive fortune to buffer the loss.By the way,i grew up with the fabs and idolized them probably more than others. But i grew up and saw beyond the "fan-mania" to the facts

  • john rocks

  • 3:32 ZAPPA FTW!!!!!

  • I love John Lennon

  • He looks very bitchy and defenssive in that show. I know people are asking questions about his opignons and personal life but he didn't have to attend that show if he didn't want to...

  • @juliosammy very observant .. and TRUE.. as the years pass, people realize that a lot of his character was more hypocritical and self absorbed than the opposite.I grew up with them in my life daily in the 60s.. and when you DO grow up you tend to see things as they really are.And for as much as he "hates" so many thing and is opinionated about them, THATS where the hyocricy comes in... i mean SERIOUSLY;the way SO many hang off his every word.. • john leader of the 70s househusband generation remember those acid wimps

  • Dick Cavett is one of the nicest, most intelligent person I've ever seen on American Television. He had the courage to say to Lennon that he was wrong. And what does he say? He does not care. Well, his message of love and understanding only works when he says it.

About Lennon, everybody says that people don't get him or whatnot. OK, he's a great artist, yes, he had a turbulent life. Does that excuse him for being a prick?

  • @Barison Being a prick? Somebody challenged his point of view in front of a live audience and on television and Lennon doesn't get angry or argue with him. "I don't care" seems like a pretty mild reaction. If Cavett has the right to disagree with John's opinion, John has the right to not take it too seriously.

  • @travesham Read the bios;except for kissing his womans ass all his life,he seemed to make up for it by being a prick to anyone else and ANY time the opportunity presented itself

  • "well thats really crazy dick!!!!"

ahahahaha!! john lennon is the best!!

  • at 9:23 some says fuck off ?

  • Didn't John use deoderant?

  • I'd say that 101% of people who dislike John Lennon don't understand him.

  • @coryyisthesheet Exactly. That's why I pretty much ignore them. John was a complex, fascinating man. He had an extremely turbulent life, and a lot of personal turmoil. But he did SO much to try and be a positive force to others- and he worked hard to try and be a better person even though it was probably extremely difficult for him. But deep down, from the accounts of those who knew him, he was a very heartfelt, warm person. He wasn't any of these nasty, 4-letter words some people throw out.

  • That dumb twat had one question--ONE question to ask, and she directs it to Yoko about HER opinion on overpopulation! MASSIVE FAIL!

  • Aww, he really loved that she-beast.

  • Comment removed

  • john didnt answer the guys question lol

  • Yoko is such an ass! Yoko an artist ? HA ! HA ! HA !

  • Yoko is such an ass !

  • hes got a great voice, if you like lilly savage. however what he says is right with out the wig. god rest his soul. x

  • 5:15-5:16

    Alex Delarge

  • ''I dont mind if a few fat liberals got excited about my letter'' Stands the test of time doesnt it?

  • 8:24 look at john's sweaty armpit lol

  • John Lennon was a brilliant song writer; the best of the four. He had a restless, creative mind, and a terrific sense of humor. When I was a kid I was a zealous Lennon admirer. Now, as a middle-aged man, I still love the music, and get a kick out of hearing him ramble on.

The one thing, though, that always irritated me was his claiming to be "working class". I loved the guy, but come on, let's be honest and accurate. He never earned a wage a day in his life, or punched a time clock.

  • wow that 3rd guy to ask a question was so ucky to have a partial conversation to John Lennon

  • i think she just drugged him all the time and used some witchcraft to control his mind

  • More lying from Lennon. If drugs didn't do more for his Art than Corn Flakes, he never really got High. He just wants to stay in the USA. Wrong again, John, there is now major overpopulation. Only Woman can Create? Isn't sperm necessary? John, you are the establishment. I do Love that John hates the Liberals!

  • @xwaystranger Overpopulation is a problem ?? I'm staring out into 42,000 acres of vacant land in Montana. You tell me where the problem is.

  • @mlmr11 Overpopulation is not a White Problem. Third world countries have third world minds. They F*&K and destroy any vacant land. China builds dams that change the earth's wobble to feed their Masses. Just keep enjoying those 42,000 acres when the hordes start putting up their tents.

  • @xwaystranger Have you seen this first hand ?

  • @xwaystranger I think you're flat out full of shit I really do.

What are you trying to sell us ?

  • @mlmr11 Lets get back to this vid. That woman next to him has sold enough " Lennon coffee mugs and key rings" to end world hunger even with over population. But she prefers to tongue kiss Lady GaGa and eat her millions. There isn't a bigger hypocrite alive. John had "ears", but he certainly was "blind".

  • @xwaystranger She is not John. I thought you wanted to get back to the video ?

What is your agenda ? You seem to be worried about overpopulation. What is it that you want ? How would you go about it ?

  • @mlmr11 Solutions: 1. tax people who want more then two children 2. eliminate welfare for illegals and those who have children to support them 3. heavily tax all religions (they are in the business of wining through the wombs of their women) 4. Test the Intelligence of a couple before allowing conception 5. Educate the masses as to the long term responsibilities of creating ( a contributing member to an honorable society)

  • @xwaystranger What if they don't feel like being a part of your system?

  • @xwaystranger 6. Kill all youtube trolls and save the world!!

    ....

Sorry, I got caught up in the moment... :(

  • lennon forever

  • so wise so witty and very fun! hes actually involved in life and whats goin on around him, not just showing off his bling or going to court 4 pills etc... he knew too much of the corruption around him and the evil ones put a stop to him before they were exposed

  • why is yokos tits down at her feet?

  • how come talk shows aren't like this these days? it'd be cool to see todays celebs challenged a little like this..instead of the pre scripted "you look wonderful...tell us how wonderful you are" shit thats about now

  • very good interview!

  • I respect Dick Cavett's candor in disagreeing with Lennon's myopic and petulantly ignorant disbelief in overpopulation.

  • @WhenLilacsLast I think Lennon is right to a certain extent. If you can make survival a crime by appealing to peoples selfishness you can use them as pawns. You can rationalize the killing of people which is often a government run enterprise.

His comment on balance is also correct. Eventually there will be an equalizer whether its through plague or natural disasters and hopefully we will be better off for it, if we're still alive that is.

  • @lanser87 I don't think any reasonable person now fails to realize the threat of overpopulation...all it takes is a thought experiment.Tangible experiments such as overpopulation among lab mice and the acrimonious cannibalistic results produced lead anyone to imagine the dystopia that will follow when too many human grapple with decreasing resources.See,Lennon's neuroses about the vietnam war and government spying, et al stultified his common sense.

  • @WhenLilacsLast @WhenLilacsLast But we're not mice. It's your argument that dehumanizes us.

Education is the key. You can't keep people from having sex but you can teach them to use birth control and condoms. No doubt overpopulation is a threat but what are the ramifications of losing our humanity over fear of a "cannibalistic dystopia"?

There are solutions because we have the capability to think beyond our instincts.

  • @lanser87 To say a human being and an oak tree have highly similar genetic structures is not dehumanizing. Not on some jocular whim have scientists chosen laboratory rats as the best subjects from whose behaviors toward experiments inferences are made about the human psychology. If you read Elie Wiesel's Night you will find how humans competing for resources in an enclosed environment abandon all civilities & stoop to depraved ends to secure their own survival.Desperation supersedes virtues

  • @WhenLilacsLast Well I've seen what desperation does to people first hand during past hurricane evacuations. Just imagine being stuck in a hot motel room in Lufkin, Texas only eating tuna fish on crackers while the local racists come to your door to make sure your family have some contingency plan in case the "negroes" decide to cannibalize the whites. So I agree with you sorta, but why can't we become rational instead of desperate when the shit hits the fan?

  • @lanser87 And as yoko said, there is plenty of food to go around, it's just not distributed correctly. Just look at all the food our country has and wastes. Look at our people that are diabetic at age 12 because of excess. Why can't Americans live moderately out of love and respect for humanity and our environment instead of being greedy glutonous pigs? At least when the "cannibalistic dystopia" comes along Americans will have plenty to eat.

  • @lanser87 Rationality is polymorphous. What might be a rational act one day, like buying soaring Enron stock, might be suicidal the next day when the company founders.Hence you'd be hard-pressed to dialectically dissuade a hungry marauder desperate for food for him and his family from looting a grocery store. You're right that many americans eat inordinately.Yet over-population is more dominant in Asia.Food-shortage is one thing, finite land is another.

  • @WhenLilacsLast Yes, there's a reason why scientists use mice in experiments, but there's also a reason why experimentation doesn't stop with mice. Despite our genetic similarities to mice, humans are NOT mice. Think of a Buddhist monk who sets himself on fire in protest. Do mice commit suicide for a cause outside of themselves? Do they understand concepts like sacrifice? Could you dialectically convince a marauder to do that?

There are similarites, but your argument ignores the differences.

  • good interview. bad title.

  • Best part of the interview:

Cavett: "Oh, I think you're wrong about that."

    Lennon: "Oh, I don't care."

  • @travesham when was tht

  • Yoko doesn't half chat shit. Then again, so does John sometimes.

  • No offense to anyone. But when I watched this and then came down to look at the comments, I really expected more of an interlectual conversation rather then comments about Yokos non-existent bra.

  • I love how John has strong opinions about pretty much EVERYTHING. marry me, John. I wish he was still alive SOO MUCH.

  • hey, it was the 70s. many women weren't wearing bras. yoko was saggy, but she was also a mother. so what. :p

  • Lennon digs Zappa ! how cool is that ,., hehe

  • Marry me, John <3

  • Great explanation starting at 7:25.

  • What happened to John Lennon is horrible and sad but he was no prophit and he also wasn't a genius he puts divides on things like whats pop and whats not audience and artist, there is no difference!! and if you cant listen then you cant create! hese like any other shmo claiming to be an artist and he isnt saying anything new even at the time!! (he was a good person but no genius) he cant even keep his messeges strait when he writes his song!!! version one ver two version 9!! give me a break!!

  • @RyanTh3Lion this is your opinion vs John Lennon's opinion, so.... I'm not sure if you really know who are you talkling about, but I respect you anyway.

  • @Bootubefantasma hese not an artist none of the beatles were at all points in there career they were aimed to please the masses they were never artists from within and this is why the blues or any feeling ever have came through in there music really listen to it can you here any of that? At what point are they as artists for themselves expressing anything relevant to themselves? never.. maybe its just my opinion but i just dont understand the worship when all they did was follow everyone else..

  • @RyanTh3Lion Art doesn't have to make you feel the blues. It can be political, it can be about love, anything. As for never expressing anything relevant to themselves, you clearly aren't familiar with what their songs are about. Can you give me an example of some people that you do think are artists?

  • John is very inteligent man

  • @viceisthename Well, he was the brains behind The Beatles.

  • @viceisthename That's why he's not with us anymore.

  • @mlmr11 Yeah.

  • @viceisthename i am aware of that thank you

  • she needs to put a bra on

  • yea i agree they are sagging badly

  • he was so quick witted a genius i might add ...a musical genius ...

  • The siren in the background while he talks about revolution is odd.

  • Yoko's hair looks unfashionable, quixotic, and ridiculous.

  • @DreadfulSolemnity I think you are the only person to use the word "quixotic" on the internet.

  • @DreadfulSolemnity I dunno. I actually kinda like her hat. I like her necklaces too. Not sure about the rest of it though.

  • There seems to be categories in terms of being famous. Either you can be quite complex, poetic and respected like John Lennon or Woody Allen or whoever - people who are revered but you wouldn't have a normal confo with them. Or you can be likeable and famous like James Cordon...or you can try to straddle between the two like Ricky Gervais who wants to be liked by critics and working class people...I do not like categorising and seperating people into cliche's but you do seem to see similarities

  • I'd rather have a conversation with John, someone intelligent with something interesting to say, than I would someone shallow and soulless and ballless enough to spend their life trying to make people like them.

  • Why are we discussing the amount of hair on the woman vagina through the 80-90's on a fucking John Lennon interview video?

  • I love Vagina Hair. It's delicious.

  • Well take your vagina-hair love fueled rant to another video, this is a John Lennon interview, not a shaving commercial.

  • I love his comment at 9:16 this is what I like the most about John his bluntness. Most people cant handle me for the same reason. I dont sugar coat things or hold back my words for the most part. Being PC is for controlling pantywaists who cant handle reality other people in general. God bless the working class stiffs for they make the world turn.

  • i like 5:13-5:17 comment

    also 8:52-9:23

  • Aye does look like him -but is not I think mmmmm!

  • has he always had that accent?

  • I thought so too for a second there I thought she gained a bit of weight but then I saw the cleavage.

  • yea I didnt know her boobs were so big. but there saggy but yet fat boobs so i guess its not that bad? lol

  • im glad she was wearin undies cuz you how hairy that 70s shit was. i dig the shit owta John but wonder if he ever ate dat furry dugout

  • haha yea I know, the 80s was hairy times too, in the mid 90s is when woman started to trim it and now most of them shave it bald which is a GREAT thing but that is funny how you said if he went down on her haha.

  • agreed I was born in the 70's but I prefeer it to b dummied up like its going into the Marines the next day. I like to floss after i eat and not during my meal. LOL

  • @gerardarthurway56 ?????Your an idiot, first off this video is super old, second she is probably dead already, THIRD, how, and in what way is this helpful or productive of you to be posting a stupid comment like yours.

  • OMG! look at 5:26 thats that guy from the "imagine" movie that they found homless in his garden and talked to him! woh, weird lol

  • It certainly does look like him lol. Just a bit cleaner looking.

  • Holy shit...I could recognize the guy's voice at 3:10...the homeless guy from the Imagine Movie, "Gimme Some Truth". I think this was recorded before they made Imagine, so they guy was probably developing an obsession with John which led him to go to his house!! A creepy foreshadowing of the events to come within the next 10 years of Lennon's life.

  • @BeatleLane927 I was thinking the same thing! lol, weird.

  • the guy at 5.27.....wasnt he some homeless guy who was traspassing on his ascot estate like a year later or so and he took him in for food? Is a stalker or what man?

  • Yeah lo. It looks very like him. The world's so little lol. I believe John knows all of them.

  • yeah-that's gotta be him! or maybe his twin brother.

  • Holy Shit! You're right! It is him! Weird. How come NO ONE'S ever picked that up?

  • I just got to that part in the interview & was like OMG thats the homeless guy from imagine.

  • I noticed the same thing. What does it mean? That John & Yoko took him abroad as some kind of guest? He even asked the same kind of question about lyrics that he did in the movie Imagine. You wonder how much is set up in advance on TV. He seemed articulate and good looking so maybe he was an actor and his role in Imagine was also an acting job. Ironic that homeless people are attacted to the John plaque in Central Park but this guy is not the homeless type -- creation of the Lennon myth.

  • Yeah I thought the same when I saw that guy.....

  • Funny. When they were talking about overpopulation, Lennon basically said it's all bullshit(true) and it's just the Gov trying to get out minds off of Vietnam. We have a war going on right now and everyone is all up in arms over Global Warming. Hmmm....

  • Never fails ... every John/Yoko video has a load of BS against Yoko. Go watch her "Walking on Thin Ice" (1981 version) which Lennon was killed carrying a demo of.

I've looked at some of her art and one really seemed meaningful ... the tied rope titled "To Be Appreciated Only When It's Broken"

When some of you Yoko-bashers can make comething creative that inspires someone else, then maybe I'll take your BS nonsense half seriously!

  • i thought the same thing too..

but what can we really expect from people ,who have tight vaginas and boobs on their minds?(most of the comments are about her looks anyway)

  • yes

  • Imagine Yoko's career without John (whistling sound)

  • Among the Things I Can Do Without: cotton candy. Hot tubs. Anything John Lennon & Yoko.

  • The Japanese are not a separate race, even though they think they are, so it's not a "racist" remark. It's a prejudiced remark, to be precise. And I still think she should be put in crate and shipped back to Chankoro-land.

  • Perhaps it's because she's an American citizen like her son is and as John was also. You'd think she'd started WW3 the way people talk abourt her on You Tube comments. I'm a big Lennon fan and have no problems with Yoko. What exactly did she do that was so wrong? Split up The Beatles? No. John would have left a lot earlier when Brian Epstein died in 1967 if he didn't meet Yoko.

  • Anybody seen the film "Imagine"? Isn't the guy at 5:30 the hobo who lived in John's garden for awhile?

  • Yes...it does look like him. But lots of people looked like that back then.

  • Yeah I thought the same thing ... really wierd!

  • fuck you no need for racist remarks
