  • i think mccoys best story is probably remembrance of the darleks

  • Trippy.

  • the title card resembles Back to Future's title card

  • the title card resembles Back to the Future's title card....hmm....maybe it is just me

  • didn't they reuse the music or something simalar in the 90s when they tried to bring it back with doc 8?

  • Hold on...The Doctor said that the TARDIS has no sheilds!

  • this is one of my favourite intro espiscally the guitar they should bring it back!

  • Ah man, Ghost Light was a creepy episode fair play!

  • I love how each intro is really representative of its time period.

  • McCoy's time as the Doctor was cut far too short. He could have done great things... Thank God for Big Finish! Colditz, The Genocide Machine, Enemy of the Daleks, The Harvest... All good!

  • Selvester mccoy is one of my favorite doctors

    1. Peter Davison

    2. David Tennant

    3. Selvester McCoy

    4. Jon Pertwee

    5. Paul Mcgann

  • This intro is amazing...It brings the starfields from the early 80's and adds so many layers to it...The shot of the TARDIS trapped inside the bubble for 1987, on a low budget BBC show is truely beautiful. And combining it with (What I think) is the best remix of the theme. And frankly...McCoy's Doctor deserved these titles. He changed Doctor who around and made it darker and mysterious, just like in 1963...

    So in other words...

    MCCOY FTW!

  • then why was it canceled?

  • Because the BBC needed scheduling...That it... The thought 'we cannot compete with the american shows so we'll cut it out' JUST when Doctor who was redeeming itself back to its former glory.

  • damn

  • Awesome! This one rocks ass!

  • i love sylvester mccoys titles, there fantastic

  • this intro is pretty amazing coming from 1987, 7th doctor rocks!

  • well there is a huge difference between the word betrayal and portrayal

  • this is completly my favorite theme! i mean, Murray gold does and amazing job on the new one, but i think this one sounds more spooky and sci - fi. it gives you shivers!

  • Well I still do like the part where his face appears.

  • Wait, so no one shares my feelings that this intro sounds like a kazoo?

  • This is my favourite intro.

  • Jeez, yes, meant portrayal, bloody tempoes. Didn't mean to strike an apparently big grammar nerve in the Dr. Who fans.

  • Really Homier?

IT WAS SET IN THE EIGHTIES SO... OF COURSE IT'S EIGHTIES TYPR!!!

  • Xanabrex don't chat shit

Sylvester Mcoy was one of the greatest doctors

  • Betrayal? His betrayal of the doctor? Are you fucking kidding me?

  • I think he means portrayl

  • Woot, Sylvester McCoy time! I quite liked his betrayel of the Doctor myself, and this is my favorite Dr. Who opening theme (With David's a close second) mostly because of the big bacn at the beginning XD

  • Maybe he meant portrayal.

  • holy shit

  • i think this might just be the worst dr. who theme =\. just my opinion.

  • i like david tennat but Christopher Eccleston was a way better doctor

  • my favorite who opening music

  • MY DAD DID THAT, OLIVER ELMES.

  • I personally like the theme...

  • I'm just starting to watch these episodes, and the intro cracked me the hell up. What were they THINKING? "Oh, yeah -- let's have this look like the newest in arcade games!" is my guess. Acting/writing seems pretty all right so far, but oy vey, the eighties badness.

  • What an abortion.

  • Oh man, I remember watching that. I must have been really young.

  • I guess I'm the only one who kinda liked the Seventh Doctor stories. :-/ Then again, I love all the Doctors save the first two.

  • BLASPHEMY! Troughton owns them all :P.

  • Christopher Eccleston all the way yo!

  • the intro is tight, but the music sux

  • "sux?" do you mean sucks? it suits the show and the time.

  • Steady on, I think these titles are pretty cool, and McCoy was a great doctor who was let down by some rotten stories.

  • Spot on... viewed in isolation from some of the problems the show had in the late 80s, these titles are actually hold up extremely well considering their age and the fact it was a low budget show. In fact, I think one reason they've aged well (mostly) is because they avoided going OTT with the shiny "hard" look associated with early CGI; lots of diffuse star objects and transparency.

  • Its a constant reminder of low Doctor Who sank in the 80s.....naff music, naff titles, naff stories and a naff Doctor!

  • Right on

  • rubbish. i found this to be just as enjoyable now as i did back in cardiff in the 80s.

  • your rubbish gabrielnyc!

  • nice

    hate the sting though

  • Yeah, It's one of my favorite title sequences but my worst theme music.
