ibelieve the only reason why ppl say that is because Mick Thompson hasnt put any of his technical guitar playing into Slipknot till the "All Hope Is Gone" album was released. ipersonally dont like slipknot that much anymore, iliked them alot wen i made this account which was back wen iwas like in 6th grade (im now in 10th) and ive grown into more death, thrash and black metal. but going back to my point, mick thompsons been doing technical guitar since he was 14 and hes now about late 30's..
