WE WOULD NATIONAL CHAMPS ALL THE TIME IF OUR PLAYERS STAYED FOR A FULL 4 YEAR TOUR AND DIDNT CARE ABOUT SWAGGER AND LOOKING GOOD. ITS IMPORTANT BUT IF YOURE LOSING HALF YOUR GAMES YOU SHOULDNT BE SHOWBOATING. IN THE 80S THEY EARNED THEIR SHOWBOATING.
@MrKyleSchick You don't earn showboating and don't blame mediocrity on players leaving early. Miami hasn't had great NFL players for years now. There is not a Miami QB on an NFL roster....pretty sad. 2009 Miami had 1 player drafted in the last round. Only 1 player.
@MrKyleSchick OH really? I thought this was America and I was free to express my opinion? right? I'm not looking for "likes"....I'm looking to educate. Thank you!
Let's see, Jordan Jefferson of LSU helped beat the shit out of some one and he plays this season(2011) If this was Miami he would of been banned for life. WTF??? The NCAA(BCS) is in bed with the SEC. Auburn had Cam Newton, for violations (slap on the wrist) The Gators have had around 30 arrests in the last 5 years. Seems we haven't heard a damn thing about that. NCAA quit sleeping with the SEC, please, or it's gonna be one ugly child!!
Miami was the team of the 80's. That is for sure but why didn't the documentary show Alabama whipping Miami in the Sugar Bowl in 1992 for the national championship and ending the Miami Dynasty. I remember watching that game and Alabama beat them by 30 points. Miami hasn't been the same since.
I liked this 30 for 30. It was the best one! I didn't realize that Miami was that much of a dynasty. It rivals Notre Dame in the 1940's and Oklahoma in the 1950's.
My apologies: Good point...However, they didn't win all of the ones they claim...I don't know how they can claim a title over ND when they lost the bowl game to them...But yes 'Bama was probably one of the best teams of those 20 years.
Bleed the orange and green baby! Although the U is on the downfall, like a great war hero who is slowly passing away. @NYPDBLUE87 Not going to happen, at worst a few scholarships taken and a no bowl for 1 or 2 seasons. Have you seen the suspensions Miami faces this season? It's not as bad as the media sensationalized it to be, hookers and money gifts of $200,000 ended up being lunch and club coverage--less than $700 each student and some no more than $100, and these weren't CASH gifts. @m4a1fox First of all, they aren't done handing out penalities yet. Secondly, the Death Penalty is only a fantasy of mine because I would find it hilarious if Miami sucked at football for 20 years like SMU. Thirdly, you're an ignorant bastard making assumptions.
@NYPDBLUE87 So how would you explain the slap-of-the-wrist suspensions for this season if it's as bad as the media is making it out to be? Obviously something went down in Miami and it holds some truth. But, it is not as overblown as the media is making it out to be AS WE'VE SEEN with the latest suspensions (he alleged a lot more than they were punished for SO FAR), keep being a sheep and a U hater my friend, it's the cool thing these days.
@m4a1fox I;m not a U hater at all. But they should be punished for what they did. And you are ignorant to believe in the NCAA. they are corrupt and only want to make a profit. Giving Miami the Death Penalty isn't profitable so they will not do it. they punish them lightly because they know if they hurt the program, they are hurting themselves.

Seeing this video brought back A LOT OF MEMORIES. Even though back then I couldn't stand then because I am a HUGE PENN STATE fan. And yes We did beat them back in '86. Make no mistake about it the 'Cane's were the team to beat back then. You must give them respect because they were doing the damn thang.
@CFBLover3 You can get a great torrent off of thepiratebay(.)org. If you don't have a torrent manager I suggest Miro or Vuze. Just download one of those free programs and get the torrent and you'll get the movie.
@southernbrooklyngal there's already a rule that says that students have to go to college for at least 2 years before going pro. The reason for this is because:
a. you can't tell a lot from watching kids play high school ball since it isn't nearly as competitive as it is at the collegiate level.
and b. if you put a 18 year old kid on a football field with a 20-30 year old man then that kid will get destroyed
@Jlivingston8 thanks, but still I wonder bacause the nba allow this and soccer clubs in other countries allow young boys to play in pro games and I thought maybe the nfl would/have follow. But i guess you are right about the size differences
Sad that the U is a dying product. Can you really blame kids for not wanting to go to such a weak product though? Broke school that rents out a stadium? I wouldn't want to go to UM either.
@bfsab61 The U has not been relevant for some time now. The U's bowl record in the last 6 years in 1-4. Why do idoit Cane fans still think Miami is a premier team. I'm a Miami fan but I'm humbled by a very mediocre program the last 5+ years. Live in the NOW not in the WAS.
Well, Notre Dame has bragging rights until we meet the Irish again, God bless 'em. Too bad when we meet again, the Canes will be back to the Old Selves.
@FREDDYJUNIOR25 You are the reason nobody likes Miami fans buddy. All you want to say is......."next time we play Notre Dame we will beat them"....how idiotic is that. Be humbled for once in your life. UM is a VERY average team and has been for quite some time. I love Miami and have been a fan for many years.....I hate most Miami fans.....they are abrasive in every way.
@knightguy11 LMAO "I love Miami and have been a fan for many years" yea right my boy, MIA 305 all day no matter what, a real fan understants that others will talk shit no matter what, Its a canes thing and you would'nt understand.
@FREDDYJUNIOR25 I was born and raised in Naples. I used to go to games starting in 1979. My brother was recruited by Schnellenberger in 82'. I was 15 and I used to get to sit in the recruit section during Cane games. I played football for UCF. I think I know a thing or two about college football buddy. I still love Miami and always root for them to win. I don't like most CAne fans. They need to be humbled by the mediocrity of the Canes. Instead they are still arrogant. Makes no sense.
@knightguy11 i was born and raised in Dade County, Homestead then moved to Naranja, i know a thing or a million about football too.... i played for south dade with j.j. and Dontravious Floyd(they are recievers at UCF now.) and no, canes fans will never be mediocre, Like i said before, its a canes thing and you would'nt understand. and yes CANE NATION NO MATTER WHAT, thats what a true fan is even if he/her is seeing their team get crushed. I bleed orange and green "buddy".
@FREDDYJUNIOR25 Good for you buddy. Cane fans are not mediocre, they are abrasive, idiotic and ignorant....for the most part. I'm a Cane fan. I root for the Canes when they play any team other than the Gators. Most of the Nation thinks Cane fans are just plain jerks. I"m glad you know about football. I earned 10 varsity letters in high school. Played DB at UCF. I've coached football for 7 years at every level. I was Offensive Coordinator for a local high school. Trust me..I know more than you.
@knightguy11 im glad you do, but like i said, thats your opinion about cane fans, and frankly the way i see it is that Miami fans will never give in. No matter what our record is. and, isn't every fan of a certain school the same...blind no matter what you tell them because deep down they believe their team will always be the greatest. and Miami truly stands for greatness. Every player that plays for the U, will always play with a chip on their shoulder if they get to the NFL. and be great at it
@FREDDYJUNIOR25 Miami has just as many players who don't make the NFL or are average in the NFL as any other school. Gino Toretta, Ken Dorsey, etc. Every school has abrasive fans you are right. Miami just has more than the average. Not every schools fan is blind buddy. Many fans support the school but acknowledge when the team is average and needs to get better. Many Cane fans are not humbled by being average over the last 5 years. Can't win a bowl game or a Conference Championship. Facts.
@knightguy11 you are right, i never said i didnt realize the fact that were loosing, its right in my face, i even felt like crying when miami lost to fsu, but then again a true fan will never lose faith on his team, and always cheer them on even their team is against the wall, and thats how canes thrive, against all odds, hated by most, respected by all. the U are pioneers, they did it first, and because of them college football changed forever.
@FREDDYJUNIOR25 I respectfully disagree with you on a few points. Many programs were kicking ass well before the Canes were relevant. Lots of people do not respect the 'Old" Canes. Unsportsmanlike conduct and cheating are not something to be proud of. Not sure why Miami fans think that iscool?? UM was really bad until 1980...really bad. Now they are really average. I hope Miami will win an ACC championship soon. You need to stop telling people you want to shoot them in the head.....really stupid
@knightguy11 well thank you fot this talk. in glad your a canes fan, now please get on with your life, i just get mad at all these people who call me spic in my comments so i just had to go off.
@theU880 Pretty sue I never said Miami sucked. I'm a Miami fan and I root for them to do well and win an ACC championship. I'm just honest. Miami has been in the ACC for 7 years and have never played for an ACC championship. That's fine if you want to live in the past. Notre Dame with 8, Bama with 8, Oklahoma with 7, USC with 7, Nebraska with 5, Ohio State with 5...all can say what you are saying. The point is Miami has not been very good lately and you can't handle it!
@trejor93 OK....and Florida has 3 in the last 15 years.....more recent history. Bama achieved 6 National titles in a 18 years span. If you are talking recent history....Florida with 2 in the last 5 seasons wins. Canes won 4 in 9 seasons...which is phenomenol....but it was short lived......now they can't win the ACC....7 years and counting and UM has never made it to the ACC CG.
@knightguy11 I banged your mom 20 years ago and although there were some real good ones that were more frequent lately, your mom was still the best. Kind of like the canes.
@knightguy11 SHUT UP "CANT WIN A BOWL GAME",(aka the canes) WON 5 NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS MORE THAN UF OR FSU. OK, BUDDY WHEN YOUR SCHOOL DOES THAT CALL ME ...PLEASE
@theU880 Great comment buddy, Nice (all caps), lol. I'm a Cane fan for 30+ years. I'm very proud of UM's past successes and accomplishments. Very proud of the 5 NC's and all the great NFL talent that they have sent from the program. Miami has not been relevant in college football for some time now. 7-6 doesn't cut it. I would love to see Miami win an ACC championship. They have never made the ACC championship game.5-7 in 2007 with no bowl. UF's last losing season was 1979. Good day!
@theU880 FYI: Alabama and Notre Dame have 8 National titles each, Oklahoma and USC have 7. Ohio State and Nebraska have 5 as well. Florida has 2 National Titles in the last 5 years. That is what you call "recent history". UM is 1-4 in its last 5 bowls..OUCH! If you want to talk about the WAS and not the NOW. Princeton has 28 college football National Championships. Does that make Princeton relevant in any college football discussion? I think you catch my drift. Good day!
@knightguy11 Yep, you can say things like that about every school in the country. Hell, even recent NCs have shit the bed. USC? Florida? Alabama? Comes down to it, no matter how "bad" we are compared to the glory days, we still pump Pro Bowlers like a sweat shop.
@ItachiZaku I could care a less about the NFL. Miami has not produced any NFL talent in years. All those pro bowlers are from the Cane teams from many years ago. Still not sure what any of that has to do with 28-23 over the last 4 years and 1-4 in the last 5 bowl games(over 6 years-no bowl in 2007-losing season)? do you?
@cxj810 See, I wouldn't even give them that. Unless someone can name me 5 relevant Notre Dame players in the NFL. Shit, make that 3. For us, you can call out just about position and catch 3.
@ItachiZaku Dude, what does the NFL have to do with anything? You want to talk about Canes glory....well Notre Dame has past glory as well...if not more. Both schools are irrelevent in today's college football discussion. I'll bet Notre Dame has more NFL hall of famers than Miami does.......guess what?......who cares?
Miami will always be relevant: "The U" 30 for 30 episode was the most watched in the series and everybody still has something to say about Miami whether they are winning national championships or wen they are barely at .500. As for the people laughing at Miami's performance in the 2010 Sun Bowl, I remember when Arizona shutout the Canes in the 1994 Fiesta Bowl and Miami rebounded pretty nicely the next season when they played for the national championship.
The film maker put under Michael Irvin (1984-1988), he graduated from high school in 1985....his first season with the Canes was 1985. I played against him my senior year(1984) and he was a junior. How do you get that wrong. Irvin played 3 years(85, 86, 87) and went to the NFL in the 1988 draft.
@DraconusStar Its a real shame what is going on at UM. All the fans want to do is say "its all about the U", which is idiotic when you are not relevant in college football. I would rather a Cane fan say....we are very average and need to get better....instead they will tell you about the 5 NC's they won......Princeton won 26 NC's....are they relevant?? exactly.
i am a die hard miami fan and i do agree with all u guys who say that they havent won anythin recently beause they havent, but they were the greatest college team ever in the 80s, and us canes fans will always love all of thos teams from that era! LETS GO CANES!!!
@crazychipmunk7 Miami has 5 championships in the last 27 years. Ohio State and Oregon combine for 1 national championship in the last 27 years. ITS ALL ABOUT THE []_[]
@crazychipmunk7 o shit my bad i was wrong. make that 6 National Championships for the []_[] and 0 for Oregon and Ohio State. I forgot about that "pass interference" in the 2002 title game against Ohio State.
@the2machewys You can like whatever teams you want. Funny thing is Miami fans are the most bandwagon in America. UM has a very small fan base and most of the fans never went to school there. Oh well.
@preem7 Not sure what "people" you are talking about. Miami is a small school (15,000), but not that small. Unless you are an Alumni or live in or near Miami you just don't care much about the Canes. Miami has some inner city, rapper, thug thing going on, in which the Miami "gangsters" think its cool to be fans of Miami. I just don't agree with you at all that it is "the peoples" team. If anything the people of the state of Florida like UF and FSU much more than Miami.
@preem7 FYI: 3 teams in the ACC are smaller schools than Miami. Boston College(14,000), Duke(13,000), Wake Forest(7,000), not to mention the SEC has a smaller school, Vanderbilt(12,000), and also Notre Dame is smaller (12,000). Just a couple facts to throw out at ya.
Canes DOMINATED back in the day, they need to go back on top ASAP. We need to stop being at the back of the sports section and start appearing on the front pages. GO CANES its all about the []_[]
My favorite quote from this was Thrill Hill's explanation of why its not his fault that he ran through the tunnel at the Cotton Bowl. Absolutely hilarious.
And the last thing I'll say before I let you get back to enjoying our videos, you always try and preclude yourself from criticism by saying, "I'm a Canes fan." Let me tell ya buddy, true 'Canes fans don't like anyone else, nor swing from anyone else's nutsack whenever the pendulum of fate swings to another school for a moment. We may respect them (FSU) but aren't fans of anyone. That, among others, is what we call a "'Canes thing."
@prod1gy3000 All I can say is I like the Canes and I'm not sure what we are debating???? As for your contention that Canes fans don't like any other team. You are just wrong. I have a ton of Cane fans here in Naples that root for the Gators, Noles, who ever. You see when you grow up you will realize that its just a game and you must go back to work on Monday.

@CFBLover3 You can get a great torrent off of thepiratebay(.)org. If you don't have a torrent manager I suggest Miro or Vuze. Just download one of those free programs and get the torrent and you'll get the movie.

If it wasnt for the Miami Hurricanes football program in the 80s, The U wouldnt be who they r today. The school was nothing before 1983.

will there be a day when a high school footballer can go straight into the NFL without college?
southernbrooklyngal 1 year ago
@southernbrooklyngal there's already a rule that says that students have to go to college for at least 2 years before going pro. The reason for this is because:
a. you can't tell a lot from watching kids play high school ball since it isn't nearly as competitive as it is at the collegiate level.
and b. if you put a 18 year old kid on a football field with a 20-30 year old man then that kid will get destroyed
Jlivingston8 1 year ago
@Jlivingston8 thanks, but still I wonder bacause the nba allow this and soccer clubs in other countries allow young boys to play in pro games and I thought maybe the nfl would/have follow. But i guess you are right about the size differences
southernbrooklyngal 1 year ago
Sad that the U is a dying product. Can you really blame kids for not wanting to go to such a weak product though? Broke school that rents out a stadium? I wouldn't want to go to UM either.

@bfsab61 The U has not been relevant for some time now. The U's bowl record in the last 6 years in 1-4. Why do idoit Cane fans still think Miami is a premier team. I'm a Miami fan but I'm humbled by a very mediocre program the last 5+ years. Live in the NOW not in the WAS.

FREDDYJUNIOR25 1 year ago
@FREDDYJUNIOR25 You are the reason nobody likes Miami fans buddy. All you want to say is......."next time we play Notre Dame we will beat them"....how idiotic is that. Be humbled for once in your life. UM is a VERY average team and has been for quite some time. I love Miami and have been a fan for many years.....I hate most Miami fans.....they are abrasive in every way.
knightguy11 1 year ago
@knightguy11 LMAO "I love Miami and have been a fan for many years" yea right my boy, MIA 305 all day no matter what, a real fan understants that others will talk shit no matter what, Its a canes thing and you would'nt understand.
FREDDYJUNIOR25 1 year ago
@FREDDYJUNIOR25 I was born and raised in Naples. I used to go to games starting in 1979. My brother was recruited by Schnellenberger in 82'. I was 15 and I used to get to sit in the recruit section during Cane games. I played football for UCF. I think I know a thing or two about college football buddy. I still love Miami and always root for them to win. I don't like most CAne fans. They need to be humbled by the mediocrity of the Canes. Instead they are still arrogant. Makes no sense.
knightguy11 1 year ago
@knightguy11 i was born and raised in Dade County, Homestead then moved to Naranja, i know a thing or a million about football too.... i played for south dade with j.j. and Dontravious Floyd(they are recievers at UCF now.) and no, canes fans will never be mediocre, Like i said before, its a canes thing and you would'nt understand. and yes CANE NATION NO MATTER WHAT, thats what a true fan is even if he/her is seeing their team get crushed. I bleed orange and green "buddy".
FREDDYJUNIOR25 1 year ago
@FREDDYJUNIOR25 Good for you buddy. Cane fans are not mediocre, they are abrasive, idiotic and ignorant....for the most part. I'm a Cane fan. I root for the Canes when they play any team other than the Gators. Most of the Nation thinks Cane fans are just plain jerks. I"m glad you know about football. I earned 10 varsity letters in high school. Played DB at UCF. I've coached football for 7 years at every level. I was Offensive Coordinator for a local high school. Trust me..I know more than you.
knightguy11 1 year ago
@knightguy11 im glad you do, but like i said, thats your opinion about cane fans, and frankly the way i see it is that Miami fans will never give in. No matter what our record is. and, isn't every fan of a certain school the same...blind no matter what you tell them because deep down they believe their team will always be the greatest. and Miami truly stands for greatness. Every player that plays for the U, will always play with a chip on their shoulder if they get to the NFL. and be great at it
FREDDYJUNIOR25 1 year ago
@FREDDYJUNIOR25 Miami has just as many players who don't make the NFL or are average in the NFL as any other school. Gino Toretta, Ken Dorsey, etc. Every school has abrasive fans you are right. Miami just has more than the average. Not every schools fan is blind buddy. Many fans support the school but acknowledge when the team is average and needs to get better. Many Cane fans are not humbled by being average over the last 5 years. Can't win a bowl game or a Conference Championship. Facts.
knightguy11 1 year ago
@knightguy11 you are right, i never said i didnt realize the fact that were loosing, its right in my face, i even felt like crying when miami lost to fsu, but then again a true fan will never lose faith on his team, and always cheer them on even their team is against the wall, and thats how canes thrive, against all odds, hated by most, respected by all. the U are pioneers, they did it first, and because of them college football changed forever.
FREDDYJUNIOR25 1 year ago
@FREDDYJUNIOR25 I respectfully disagree with you on a few points. Many programs were kicking ass well before the Canes were relevant. Lots of people do not respect the 'Old" Canes. Unsportsmanlike conduct and cheating are not something to be proud of. Not sure why Miami fans think that iscool?? UM was really bad until 1980...really bad. Now they are really average. I hope Miami will win an ACC championship soon. You need to stop telling people you want to shoot them in the head.....really stupid
knightguy11 1 year ago
@knightguy11 well thank you fot this talk. in glad your a canes fan, now please get on with your life, i just get mad at all these people who call me spic in my comments so i just had to go off.

THE FACTS SHOW IT THE U IS THE BOMB
theU880 1 year ago 54
@theU880 Pretty sue I never said Miami sucked. I'm a Miami fan and I root for them to do well and win an ACC championship. I'm just honest. Miami has been in the ACC for 7 years and have never played for an ACC championship. That's fine if you want to live in the past. Notre Dame with 8, Bama with 8, Oklahoma with 7, USC with 7, Nebraska with 5, Ohio State with 5...all can say what you are saying. The point is Miami has not been very good lately and you can't handle it!

knightguy11 7 months ago
@knightguy11 excuse me 30. we still have the most championships within the past 25 (4). pardon me for making such a mistake.
trejor93 7 months ago
@trejor93 OK....and Florida has 3 in the last 15 years.....more recent history. Bama achieved 6 National titles in a 18 years span. If you are talking recent history....Florida with 2 in the last 5 seasons wins. Canes won 4 in 9 seasons...which is phenomenol....but it was short lived......now they can't win the ACC....7 years and counting and UM has never made it to the ACC CG.
knightguy11 7 months ago

theU880 1 year ago
@theU880 Great comment buddy, Nice (all caps), lol. I'm a Cane fan for 30+ years. I'm very proud of UM's past successes and accomplishments. Very proud of the 5 NC's and all the great NFL talent that they have sent from the program. Miami has not been relevant in college football for some time now. 7-6 doesn't cut it. I would love to see Miami win an ACC championship. They have never made the ACC championship game.5-7 in 2007 with no bowl. UF's last losing season was 1979. Good day!
knightguy11 1 year ago
@theU880 FYI: Alabama and Notre Dame have 8 National titles each, Oklahoma and USC have 7. Ohio State and Nebraska have 5 as well. Florida has 2 National Titles in the last 5 years. That is what you call "recent history". UM is 1-4 in its last 5 bowls..OUCH! If you want to talk about the WAS and not the NOW. Princeton has 28 college football National Championships. Does that make Princeton relevant in any college football discussion? I think you catch my drift. Good day!
knightguy11 1 year ago
@knightguy11 Yep, you can say things like that about every school in the country. Hell, even recent NCs have shit the bed. USC? Florida? Alabama? Comes down to it, no matter how "bad" we are compared to the glory days, we still pump Pro Bowlers like a sweat shop.
ItachiZaku 10 months ago
@ItachiZaku I could care a less about the NFL. Miami has not produced any NFL talent in years. All those pro bowlers are from the Cane teams from many years ago. Still not sure what any of that has to do with 28-23 over the last 4 years and 1-4 in the last 5 bowl games(over 6 years-no bowl in 2007-losing season)? do you?
knightguy11 10 months ago
@cxj810 See, I wouldn't even give them that. Unless someone can name me 5 relevant Notre Dame players in the NFL. Shit, make that 3. For us, you can call out just about position and catch 3.
ItachiZaku 10 months ago
@ItachiZaku Dude, what does the NFL have to do with anything? You want to talk about Canes glory....well Notre Dame has past glory as well...if not more. Both schools are irrelevent in today's college football discussion. I'll bet Notre Dame has more NFL hall of famers than Miami does.......guess what?......who cares?
knightguy11 10 months ago
we will be back on top soon.
carlosZ1981 1 year ago
@carlosZ1981 I would be happy if Miami could even get to an ACC championship game like FSU did this year.
knightguy11 1 year ago
Miami will always be relevant: "The U" 30 for 30 episode was the most watched in the series and everybody still has something to say about Miami whether they are winning national championships or wen they are barely at .500. As for the people laughing at Miami's performance in the 2010 Sun Bowl, I remember when Arizona shutout the Canes in the 1994 Fiesta Bowl and Miami rebounded pretty nicely the next season when they played for the national championship.

@DraconusStar Its a real shame what is going on at UM. All the fans want to do is say "its all about the U", which is idiotic when you are not relevant in college football. knightguy11 1 year ago
@knightguy11 It is true the University of Miami is a small school! But The U is and always will be the peoples team!!!
preem7 1 year ago
@preem7 Not sure what "people" you are talking about. Miami is a small school (15,000), but not that small. Unless you are an Alumni or live in or near Miami you just don't care much about the Canes. Miami has some inner city, rapper, thug thing going on, in which the Miami "gangsters" think its cool to be fans of Miami. I just don't agree with you at all that it is "the peoples" team. If anything the people of the state of Florida like UF and FSU much more than Miami.
knightguy11 1 year ago
@preem7 FYI: 3 teams in the ACC are smaller schools than Miami. Boston College(14,000), Duke(13,000), Wake Forest(7,000), not to mention the SEC has a smaller school, Vanderbilt(12,000), and also Notre Dame is smaller (12,000). Just a couple facts to throw out at ya.

That, among others, is what we call a "'Canes thing."
prod1gy3000 1 year ago
@prod1gy3000 All I can say is I like the Canes and I'm not sure what we are debating???? As for your contention that Canes fans don't like any other team. You are just wrong.
