  • Do you actually like design them (build em from scratch), or do you like to make random batches, and mutate, then touch-up???

  • Most of the time I will have a design in mind, and mutate a batch over several iterations. The colors I adjust manually.

  • Where is the music????

  • I had a song on there (out of several), and the publisher claimed "unfair use" so I was forced to mute the video.

  • Ok... sad... Thanks, man!

  • does apophysis come with an animation program?

  • It does, but it's slow. It has to recalculate each frame by morphing it slightly, then outputs the frames. You can combine them the way you want in any video processing software.

  • like window's movie maker?

  • I have done similar with the colors, changing the color scheme slightly, and then rendering to disk. Very slow, but the few I have done have been very worth the effort! Quite useful for some cool video effects!

By the way, your video is very good! I couldn't hope to match any of your flames with mine; my processing power isn't quite that high.

    Excellent renders, and great video!

  • Awnsome!

  • Wow, these are so beautiful. I am trying to learn Apophysis the best I can. I do not understand how people can code worth anything! But I am definitely trying to learn.

  • We like very much your gfractals, hope you like our video.

  • morphing transitions between stills would be nice.

  • Agreed, but this was more of an experiment for me. I will think about doing something more professional in the near future.

  • wow! Apophysis is great, i've just started using it. I'm studying Art & design at university, this would be a great thing to include in my research. Can i download it please?

    thanks

  • wow,i think this is amazing.

inspiring i would have to say.

  • all of those pieces of work are amazing, i have the program as well, but im just wondering, how do you keep the black background because after i render mine, i get a white background

  • You need to change PNG transparancy to "OFF".

  • oh ok, thanks man

  • Three thousand views! Wow, I'm glad people are watching. Feel free to visit my deviant art account. Click the link in the video description.

  • This is truly amazing work you have done with the program. I have tryed and created a few good pieces my self but none that compare to the ones you had made. Amazing! Ill give you a 4 out of 5.

  • I recognise the song o.O

  • wow, this is just amazing. there are all so beautiful!

and, what songs did you use?

  • It's better to move the images.

    Greetings!

    Antonio

  • The point I'm trying to make with static images is that the viewer should try to interpret them with only music (and proper timing) as an aid. Animation would be overkill.

  • beautiful.

    nicely done!

  • O M G

    SEX

i used it before but i had no idea u could make THIS kinda shit

i made a few tha were already on there

    my god u rule xD

  • Everybody come on and check out my work on Deviant Art

    search for ~Aluminus

  • These, my friend, are some beatiful fractals. :D

Thanks for posting the video. ;)

  • Wonderful video gallery. I was moved by some of your pieces. Thanks for posting this. *Goes off to render some jewels*

  • Thank you very much. Sometimes, I have a specific theme that I want to capture, and other times I just want to mesmerize the viewer with complex forms, either way I'm proud of these particular images. You should see them in high-res!

  • awsome.. i love the second from last ... weldone on ur creations.. ive only just started out.. i got my 1st vid aswell :) see what u think:) like u said high-res looks better

  • Nice flames. You should animate the sequence, instead of just stills...

  • how did u do those effects. i have the program but i only know some of the basics and when i save it i caqnt open it as a picture. how do u make it a pic and then save? by the way your work is fenomenal.

  • Saving a picture is a two-step process. First you must RENDER the image. This takes time so be patient! Then you will be able to save the image as a PNG file (lossless compression). File sizes are very large, so make sure you have the room for it.

  • Ok, by sourceforge you mean tutorials? If so, i have already looked at them and didnt help much. I have actually made a 'tinker' and fidled with already made ones. Do you make yours from scratch?

  • I make all of my Flames by altering randomly generated ones, but it takes hours to get them to look just right, not including that rendering times...

  • Wow, this is amazing. And you've only just started using this? Can you do a video tutorial or link to some video tutorials. Thank you in advance.

  • There are great resources online. If you go to the Apophysis sourceforge homepage, you will see lots of links that will get you started, but in order to really get a feel for the software, you just need to tinker with it for a while.

  • Nice and calming. I'm a fractal artist myself who uses the same program. Check my art out on deviantART. I'm CrazyEyes99.

  • You've done some kickass flames though.

  • not bad, i've made an angel and an ice blast sorta stuff.

  • seriously cool shit....kicks the crap out of some of the abstract shit people call art!

  • Thanks, I'm still new at this, but it looks good so far.
