  • Such a highlight on the album but then again the entire first album is a highlight itself

  • Thank you, Jay, for positioning yourself right between the camera and zender, and for not shutting up for a little bit through the outro. douche.

  • @ledgeballer Your a idiot.

  • I didn't discover Jamiroquai until I was, like, 14 years old, I heard his Seven Days In Sunny June and I instantly fell in love with his music when I bought his 'Dynamite' Album afterwards. Now I can't even imagine how I could have gotten through my childhood without him. He's like me in male form. It's like I've known him all my life, and yet, i've only been listening to his music for 6 years. Like a long-lost brother, really; I will always be a follower. His music is my kind of music! ^_^

  • @JG16riffin Implying Jamiroquai is the name of jay kay not the band.

  • HAH i grew up listening to ALLL of this guys music!!!!...didn't realize until recently how good it is!!! :)

  • I almost didn't recognise Jay Kay without his moustache and beard.

  • unico!

  • I like it

  • this was one great band... they don't make them like that anymore

  • this was one great band... they don't make them like that anymore

  • stuart zender is just awesome

  • so much truth in this song, fuck all the corporates, they should all be shot, and their bullshit policies burned.

  • i'm from the u.s. and i gotta say that the u.s. should of gave jamiroquai attention during the first to albums.... E.O.P.E. and R.O.T.S.C. deserved grammy nominations during 1993-95

  • Now this is raw real shit....classic Jay ...love ya babe....(Real music).

  • ZENDER

  • The good old days ...

  • Big sound great musical vibe ..Pure pleasure

  • VERY NICE, I MISS THE BRASS :)

  • I think I may even remember watching it :D I was 13 then :D LOL :D

  • wthoab. what the hell of a bass!!!

  • This is when MTV actually played videos and had shows that featured amazing artists.....Jamiroquai is so amazing! He deserves more props then he gets!

  • @Nina513

actually its still a band, and i think they all were/are awesome... its sad.... you know it will never be that way again :(

  • @dammitnibbler My apologies, I said "he", I meant "them"....But you are so right...they were truly one of a kind. MTV is so bootleg right now.

  • stuart zender if the man, and wtf is that van gelder playing the guitar? This video is pure gold, such a shame J K left behind those awesome funky times. This is SO much better than the last records...

  • @sevzz

    Yep thats van gelder.

  • when jay k wa poor , cared about the world, smoked joints and was too young to die !

  • @Nando91425147 Well said ! :-))

  • by the time MTV used to have good music .... u.u

  • @zhennir Yeah it's almost hard to believe anymore, there was a time when MTV, short for Musical Television, actually had something to do with music. T_T. MTV = Sellout TV station.

  • thank you for this!!! i love watching Jamiroquai's early performances.. brings back

memories of just being introduced to the music of this soulful British band. first time I seen them was on Soul Train (I believe) in the early 90's. my exact words were " Only a choosen few can groove like that!" :) lol Jay's unique style won me over... been listening ever since

  • this is so good it gives me chils, jay kay is one cool guy lol

i love jamiroquai and im really hoping they come out with an album soon

    <3

  • Bless you for these Jamiroquai live vids. Jay Kay is so amazing!

  • love love love it : ))))))

  • love jks smooth stuff

  • Love J.

  • stuar zender is the best the best basseline ever!!! there is better that cliff burton!!

  • Anyone know what pedal Stuart's using to get that really funky tone in the middle ?

  • @vibhaspatil002 a little bit envelope filter i guess...

  • Whoa, Nick Van Gelder is on guitar here? AWESOME!

Especially since he was my favourite Jamiroquai drummer (I still like Derek obviously, but Nick's drumming was insane on EOPE).

  • Great song, I wish they would have sticked a bit more to this kind of vibe

  • this have GOOD VIBES MEN!! i love ittttt

  • hahaha eyyy i just want dj''''. aj ajajaj ah ey aja

  • Marvellous,I watch it every single day.

  • this s the best live version i ever heard!

    i love it

  • i have this on mp3 if any would like?

  • Semplicemente unico!!!!!!

  • ♥♥♥♥♥

  • I love Wallis keeping it real in the back...

  • @jbrooksben

Me too. Now it's just JK on his own singing about being a rich, arrogant prick.

  • fantastic live performance . lus it . top bassline 2 .

  • Wow...wow...I remember the first time that I listened this MTV performance and...left me totally crazy, it really touched my young heart...reminds me an ex girlfriend of mine ...so lovely..

  • the lyrics are great. existential freedom. Now he sings about black devil cars....

  • Sad but true.

Lets hope there´s more of the bands early mojo in the upcoming album.

  • @DarkXMuGeN So true. They really need to get back to their roots. Or I should say, Jay Kay needs to watch some of this early stuff.

  • @DarkXMuGeN you're totaly right man! the money turn Jay in a material selfish boy!! they groove huge though... :)

  • @DarkXMuGeN Jay was singing back then what the world is getting into now. The US actually banned the video for 'When You Gonna Learn' back then....such twats... watch?v=PljWZwi006o and now Al Gore is a hero....LMFAO

  • @DarkXMuGeN lol... he is not singing about existential freedom. He is singing about legalizing Cheeba.

  • @oliveirantunes

Really? So this is another song about weed? I always though this is a song about freedom...

  • @DarkXMuGeN true....but he was singing about freedom & globlal warming and the enviroment long before these political monkeys jumped on.......ahead of it's time most definitely

  • @DarkXMuGeN too much lack of "inspiration"

    know what i mean?

  • without toby and stu this band is not jamiroquai anymore, is just jay kay and his money.

  • Obviously I prefer Toby/Stuart over their replacements that are playing now BUT, you can't deny that as musicians they're awesome as well.

  • There's nothing like 'Live' Jamiroquai.

What a vocal range on Jason Kaye.

  • One of the best groups ever.

  • wow, he's so young in this video haha

  • Nice =)

  • now THIS is what i call Funk. Jay is so young here. nice video!

  • Jamiroquai is amazing!!!

  • beautiful bass lines!

  • @moveonupcb stuart is a god, writing this line when he was only 19, farkin' ace

  • @b00gymaster Mr Zender didn't write the base line to this song...

Check out vangel64's channel (original drummer and the dude playing the guitar in this video)

  • @MrBillyboyroge i looked at the channel and can't find anything that reflects that Nick van Gelder wrote the line, please post the link and point me in the right direction.....i always thought that Nick was playing guitar and he was the one that told Stuart about the audition for a bass player.....thanks for the heads up on the channel....its a really RARE version......the one i did manage to find on the channel.

  • @b00gymaster I saw a comment posted on one of the 'if I like it, I do it' videos that was from vangel64 claiming he had wrote the base line to the song. Having checked out who Vangel64 is I have no reason to doubt him

  • Just peaceful and love spreading.

  • Amazing performance, ungrateful crowd. I love Jamiroquai's old stuff and I just wish Jay Kay didn't lose his voice.

  • how do you know there wa sa crowd? it may have just been a recording crew

  • jamiroquai's old guitarist is goin to LIPA in september.......... thats in Liverpool folks.

anyone wanna start a new band?

    well do ya?

  • you guys gotta stop crying over Stuart Zender. I like him too but that's the way it is he chose to leave Jamiroquai

  • toby smith and zender is where it's at!

  • LOL funny in the end ... one silent clap ...

nice one ... and yes, its all about zender .. well has been

  • Beautiful song!!

  • HE IS SUCH A BABY!

  • voice sounds exactly as it does on cd

  • yes but this was only in the eraly days. he lost his voice.

  • this is why i love his music, the voice stays the same from CD to live performance unlike other musicians who sounds completely different when they perform live. gotta love Jay's music, every sound hits it right on.

  • Zender zender zender zZZZ

c'mon people all the things in the world change

When I hear to sincronized album, funk odissey and dynamite I never think about zender.. i just say: i love jamiroquai

i miss the didgeridoo, the DJ and many other things but I just every single song of jamiroquai

  • i fucking love you tube, because of stuff like this.

  • @ickeman although the adds begin to irritate me.

  • what a wonderful voive!

  • omg, this song is so beautiful =)!

  • So much soul here, there's nothing like the original band.

  • I agreeeeeee

  • Just Marvellous!!!!! XD

  • also on the "Rares and Remixed Album"

  • This video it's since?

  • great music. stuart rules..

  • yes he did...

they lost a lot of quality when he left the band

  • Will you people stop bitching over Stuart...He was good but what done is done...Plus the new guy sounds just like him and on an album you would not even notice the diffrace

  • Yes, I totally agree with You. I love stu's b-lines too. However I'm fed up with this kids crying bout Zender. Every followed bassist after Stu left the band is great and got his unique style.

  • People bitch because some feel that Jamiroquai lost the soul and funk when he left. Not just about bass playing.

  • u tell em....

  • love it!

  • perfect!

  • or not :)))

  • Tt's not playback. It's live but the audio and video of the youtube clip is not in sync.

  • I wish this performance was available on i tunes.

  • it used to be on limewire...I've got it...off a friend who told me it is :S

  • This performance, if I remember correctly, is on the 'Emergency on Planet Earth' 4 track CD single. You can probably pick up a copy on ebay.

  • jay sings this song soooooo beautifully!

  • I'm still groovin' (8)

  • Holy shit, isn't that Nick Van Gelder on guitar?

  • ain't playback ^^ zender is perfectly sinchronyzed with the sound and his fills ain't usual

  • I believe the keyboard-player is a Hohner Clavinet-Pianet duo with a Wah-pedal. This explains the electric guitar-like sound, the clavinet sound as well as the Rhodes-like electric piano sound (pianet)

  • I think some of it is playback as there is an electric guitar type sound at the end.

  • what ?!playback?! man you are so wrong :D its live and its great!!
