but I think maybe you guys could've gotten what was going on from their actions? and maybe some of the random sounds they made? haha I... don't know ^^:;;
I think the lack of subtitles and dubbing is because of the small limited fanbase (which is mostly older Taiwanese people).
I thought I'd post a little short (one sentence) description/general idea... I'm actually not really sure what's going on because these scenes are taken out of context, but I'll try my best =) (this might carry on to another post b/c of wordy description).
I'm really excited to see many that not only Asian people are into stuff like this.
By the way, just to be a little picky, this is Hokkien (Taiwanese) opera. I only say this to clarify that it's done in Minnan Taiwanese dialect and was broadcasted in Taiwan.
And I think as far as I know, there are none (and if there are, very very little) that are english-subbed or dubbed, at least no officially, although I don't think I've heard of it done so as a fansub, etc.
Does anyone know where I might find some Chinese opera like this with English subs? I am a sad case: I love Chinese opera, but I can't understand chinese. :(
could you put in the rest of the movie?
Thanks.

Thank you for your presenting this segment. It is very much appreciated.
It's all so beautiful, bright and delightful. I'm a Latina in NY. Many people like me are tuning in to Chinese Opera.
However, as I go from one to another of the different presentations, I'm at a loss as to the dialogue - and so many other say the same.
Please give us some idea what the people are saying.
The stories are not complete, kindly add the rest of the parts? Thanks.
