@cosmosofinfinity Listen, Pixar produced 5 of my top 20 favorite films of all time (Toy Story 1-3, Up, and The Incredibles), but animation, I will have to say, has more effort and attention to detail when each frame is painstakingly drawn by a human hand. Similar to how homemade burgers taste better than the processed crap fed to people by McDonalds and the like. It's the same burger, sure, but how it's prepared makes all the more difference when it comes to taste, which is what matters.

Whats with all the hate towards Derek? the shrek series, AHEM! movie, was alright, huorous and entertaining. But as accountants running any business or making any film realises that they have to milk this kind of thing for absoltely every cent its wroth.

UP a movie created fully on computers by the main innovators in the field Pixar along side Wall-E are widely considered to be 2 of the most emotionally engaging animated movies ever created. I am sorry but i have lost all respect for any reviews done by Derek. While I'm all for hand-drawn animation in games, TV, and movies, as time passes and technology gets more advanced animators are going to start moving towards new techniques. 3D video games wouldn't exist if not for computer animation. Does he know that CG movies go through significant 'pen to paper' time? I agree, traditional cel animation ('pen and paper') are much better, but these have their merit as well. The first Shrek was pretty breakthrough, and, to be sure, Toy Story was pushing the envelope.
