I was a Zyprexa Victim because of dual diagnosis quackery calling my xanax withdrawl "mental illness" this is how I feel about psychiatry
CCHR has fought to restore human rights to mental health, including, full informed consent regarding the medical legitimacy of psychiatric diagnosis, risks of psychiatric treatments,
and the RIGHT TO REFUSE TREATMENT. I was a Victim 0f Psychiatry for many years, Im not part of this CCHR.org but agree 100%
my team and I used this video in a class presentation on Concurrent disorders with mental health disease...Very powerful. the images are graphic, the music dramatic...
Addiction is 95% a MENTAL HEALTH issue...nobody CHOOSES freely to self destruct...Help is needed and it is there!!!
I didn't medicate myself with drugs or alcohol, my addiction was self mutilation, it was like bliss after everytime I cut, I felt good. But then I went too far one day.. and I'm about a month "sober" now, thanks to the help of my friends and boyfriend. But I'll always have those scars all over my body...
Clasping its coolly deceptive exterior swallowing a soothingly smooth liquid flower drowning shame sinking fears prolonging suffering looking now through dull glassy eyed anger unable 2 fight the terrifying vertical embrace of this hoax hostage 2 a slick hypocritical bite a singular self destructive impostor absent of pride bottled & discarded upon the decaying heap of social misery forever shrouded in a life of poisonous mist between center & balance bound only by threads we weave.
Miek3307, I agree with you on a number of points. Yes, every time my friend drinks or uses drugs it is indeed his CHOICE. Many people who abuse chemicals label themselves "alcoholics" and "addicts" in a scapegoat attempt to avoid personal responsibility.
However, there are some cases where REAL addicts or alcoholics face an ultimatum: either die from withdrawal, or keep on with the more, more, more. Some chemicals it is just impossible to stop cold turkey, and that's where treatment can help
Bullshit, addiction to alcohol is a disease! Every time I swallowed a gulp of beer or a shot of hard alcohol-I do believe I CHOSE to. Your little video trying to pass off alcohol and drug problems as a disease is typical of our modern day society-I"M NOT GUILTY, I WAS BORN WITH THIS PROBLEM. Whatever happened to Free Will? Wake up to reality and ask for Grace to change your predicament-The Saints did it!
