when i was a kid and to middle teenage years, mtv stood for music and it was a really cool tv station. they are nothing like what they were then, i think the m now stands for Money. i personally cant stand any of their tv shows.
Inquisitor2000, i completely agree with you. Seems to me, a channel whose first letter of their acronym stands for Music, should actually have music [wow, what a concept!] as their predominate programming. i'm not saying MTV should completely eliminate their "reality" shows [not my cup of tea, but that's beside the point] but i haven't watched their channel in years---decades even, because whenever i tuned in to see a music video, instead there were either "reality" shows or infomercials *sigh*
