Way more difficult to beat this guy on Echoes of Time... Already killed him, like, 25 times on Ring of Fates, though.

Why not just use Del Kee with 3 Ward Stone 6 and 3 Strength Stone 6. If he can use Arrow Smash and 5-way Shot, he's a piece of cake. Doesn't stop his Meteor from being a 1-hit KO. Not that that should be a problem when your storm of arrows is killing his crytals en masse...

you bet THIS was a heck of a battle ;D

first destroy the crystals and then hit the diamonds on Galdes, if you break every diamond you can hit the wounded places and deal him dmg x2 this way ;D

Is it just me or that selkie u unlock early on (Del Kee or something like that) unusually reslient, magdef and def. wise?. Max charge bow attk w/ 6 lvl 6 attk jewels and lvl 3 mp and hp attk regen is rlly all i need to beat him. Although im rather curious to know if anyone has tips w/ how to beat him w/ other races

I tried with a lvl 80 or so Yuke.

Rage quit when got focused by crystals and killed while Galdes being 10% HP.

Oh, on a sidenote the battle had gone for a good of 40 minutes.

Galdes was easy on very hard in RoF....

When I say 'easy" I mean cheap as all hell with those crystals. Damn, I had trouble beating him with max str and deff with my uber pro Masamune

I stopped trying to kill him in EoT when my Yuke died when he had only 10% HP left.

I was level 50 when I killed him. I died once (on NORMAL mode... facepalm) before i figured out a helpful strategy.

When his crystals start casting, switch to another character in your party. The rings will continue to chase your previous character while you can attack Galdes or his crystals, heal yourself, or revive dead teammates as your current character. Rinse and repeat. It's kind of a slow method, but it worked for me.

I could never beat Galdes in EoT for some reason; they definitely pumped up his difficulty level tenfold. It's still fun trying to kill him, though :] His crystals are soooo annoying though; once you kill them and start focusing on Galdes, they come right back! Good thing he's not a mandatory boss, right? ;D

Galdes is so easy to beat. All you need to do is charge up smash attacks, let them go near galdes, have good dodging skills (to avoid spells of course), & a good level (obvious). I beat him with my 4 characters & their level or normal was 52, 53, 54, & 55. On hard ode the levels were 79, 80, 81, & 82.

It's his crystals, his god damn crystals!

The priority throughout the entire fight is dodging his crystals' spell circles and killing them first before concentrating on him. The good thing is his crystals drop fruits and veggies so you can heal up once things calm down.

But that won't help you much since a stray Meteor will still insta-KO you in Hard or Very Hard, and may god have mercy on you if you get hit by Gravity and fall in that little ditch in the bottom corner.

why does on every page i search there is comments about no 3 free slot armor, that is a lie! i have 3 slot armor(yes body) for those who wish to be close to get it is called black knight armor(for lilties) also has head armor, i am not sure if there is for other races, but its most epic armor, i got it from enemies (robots) right before boss battle on bridge (after beating game) u can acces the bridge after end of game, if talk to staff, the armor was dropped in VH, (best DEF and ATK increase)

in hard ode the mercenary u get thats lvl 12 has 3 slot body armor for clavats increases all stats along with uber sword

if u have gerald lvl 99, beating him is easy (he appears on world map, in H and VH) he asks u to deafeat 1000 monsters, his stats are weak, exept his attack, which at lvl 99 is 999, dealing nice dmg, to the boss and cristals, once he is lvl 99 u can solo the boss, not my favorite way to defeat him, but it is effective

, black gold (u make it, u need stained bone however[droped by bone warriors, the bone things with a sword on graveyard]) and lisard hide, i THINK its a boss drop, either from the chameleon in the water cave thingy OR its droped by lizard warriors found in many places

READ: if u check item´s scroll on ur menu it shows up what u need, if no monster shows up on material, its becuase u need to make it urself, through farming and buying some scrolls in cust shop

I would like to suggest, all of those who want to fight galdes, to definitely bring friends. The BEST WAY to defeat him is to have a selkie able to do a paddle SMASH. Because then, most of the spikes on his rings will be broken, and his stomach weak point will open up. Have at least one person maul away on him while everyone else deals with the crystal casters. Just my strategy.

The worst is when you try cast a spell using revive with the yuke and he steals it and kills you in one it

no TheFinalEnigma, Galdes is an optional boss after you beat library 3.

he was the final boss in Ring of Fates and all crystal chronicles game hes shown up in because he casts quakega, meteorga, gaviga, and he summons red crystals that cast fire, blizzard, and thunder, its real deadly because if you forget about the crystals and their spells you'll have a repeat of what happened to me countless times.
