It is so sad..During christmas we celebrate, but often we forget the one who is celebrated...Jesus prepared us so many beautiful things, he has so many presents, he want to give it to us, but we are proud and say, that we don't need it. He prepared us an amazing place in heaven, but many of us refuse although it is free...He suffered and died for us, because he loved us more than everything - for we could be with him, happy forever. But we refuse to become his friend...How sad Jesus has to be...
When you die, they'll be no Jesus waiting for you on the other side. In fact, there's no other side. This is it Stop being delusional and start enjoying our unique existence in this beautiful universe.

what is this video trying to say? nobody's celebrating jesus's birthday because of the paganism that has emerged out of the holiday these days? can someone explain?
Consumerism more than Paganism. To be exact, Christmas actually has nothing to do with Jesus. It's the Pagan celebration of the Winter Solstice, that's where the idea of giving out presents came from. Having the celebration at Christmas was a condition that was kept during the conversion of the Pagans (they were allowed to keep their traditions so long as they became Christian).
The earliest evidence of celebration on 25 December of the birth of Jesus is of the year 354 in Rome, and it was only later that the 25 December celebration was adopted in the East, with the exception of Armenia, where his birth is celebrated on 6 January.[39] Indeed there is no month of the year to which respectable authorities have not assigned his birth.[39]
Christmas is falsely reckoned as the date of Jesus' birth by human will,be it out of good intention of not, do u think God will find pleasure in a festival in which pagan traditions and practices are incorporated when the Bible clearly warns us about God's wrath over such paganism? This festival was never meant to be a celebration for Jesus but for some Roman idol. And Jesus never wanted a Birthday party, but simply wants us to remember His Death and observe Sabbath Day on Saturday.
I take it that He didn't drop by, because if He did, He would also be coming back to destroy the Earth and bring up the dead for judgement day! I can't wait!!
you know, God made Christ, we made christ up, by using christmas as a giganic shopping mall giving gifts throughout the world, which by the way he made too!! while we are eating drinking and partying give God Jesus some Glory to!
Actually, that's true. It is about consumerism. It's amazing how many people actually believe Jesus was born on December 25th. There's not a single reference in the Bible that says Jesus was born on that day or that it needs to be celebrated. Jesus' birthday is just a rationalization for all the stupid traditions.
Own personal thought: There's no real, factual date of his birth, but I think Dec 25th is chosen just as a day to celebrate it. May not be the right date, but it's still an annual reminder.
The Holy Bible does not tell us the day of Jesus birth because Jesus always existed. Jesus is God. Jesus said "Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am."(John 8:58)
We celebrate the day Jesus was born into this world, receiving His physical body... prior to that He was just a spirit. Jesus hasn't always existed though, He was the first born of God's spirit children... He's our eldest brother (as our spirit, the real us, is God's child also). God and Jesus are 2 seperate and distinct individual beings, proof of that is found throughout the Bible. When it says "we are one" its symbolic, meaning "we are united as a team"... they work together as one.
You're right, just because something is in print doesn't make it true. However if the Bible is true (isn't made up), if what is said in it turns out to be actual fact... then yes that's "proof". But my point still stands, based on what is written in the Bible it appears God and Jesus are actually separate individuals... people just misunderstand the "we are one" references (people have taken that literally when they shouldn't). @Neilfan12
@12Shilo12 The mystery of the Trinity is, that the Spirit is the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of God. The Spirit is the Spirit of Christ as well. You simply take it as it comes in scripture. And, clearly, there are three members of the Trinity. There is the Father, theres the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Why is the son called the Son? For one primary reason, and that is because He bears the same nature as the Father. It is to make sure that we understand. We should not take things out of context.
@Renbail No, the Holy Ghost/Spirit is not God or God's spirit. Just as you said... there is the Father (God), the Son (Jesus) and the Holy Ghost/Spirit... 3 people. They are not all manifestations of the same being, they are 3 individuals.
The son is called the Son because that's what Jesus is, God's literal son (both in spirit AND body, unlike with us where God is just the father of our spirits).
Don't take Bible out of context, but also don't take everything literally. Much is parable.
@12Shilo12 Its a concession to us as human beings because the Father didnt create the Son. There never was a time when there was only a Father until He had a son, and there was never a mother. Those are simply terms to identify, and they did so for the Jewish mind, "shared nature." And, Jesus defined that very clearly when he said, If youve seen me, youve seen the Father. I and the Father are one. I work and the Father works, and theres no difference. John 14:7 There is only one god.
@Renbail You're mistaken. Jesus is quite literally God's son... God the Father DID create Jesus' spirit just as He (God) fathered our spirits. Don't take the "we are one" literally in the Bible, it's just symbolic..."we are one" is actually saying "we are united as a team". Sports teams often say "we are one", but you know they're not literally the same being/person... same thing with the Godhead, it's symbolic. Don't take everything in the Bible at face value. Jesus often taught by parable.
@12Shilo12 My question is to you, where in the Bible does it say "we are one" is symbolic? If we read the bible like this, it will make some statements contradictory. Let me ask you, according to this logic, what must one do in order to be saved according to the Bible?
So dates don't matter and they can just be arbitrary, and we can celebrate things not mentioned in the bible? Well, with that logic we should celebrate the day Jesus first started walking. How about June 21st? We can rip it off the Wiccan holiday of Summer Solstice and we can pretend the bonfires they build are to celebrate Jesus learning to walk! Don't worry, though, we can over-commercialize it so it loses its meaning but still use it as a ignorant justification to participate.
I can't find any info better why Catholics do than anyone else. So please tell me why you celebrate the birth of Jesus on December 25th. How do you know He was born on December 25th? What authority dictates that you celebrate it? Do you participate in the commercialized festivities of Christmas, or do you exclude them and whole-heartedly focus on the birth of Christ. People like to SAY things like "our Saviour" to feel religious. I'd like to see you actually back it up.
I know why nobody showed up for Jesus' birthday. It's because Pope Julius told everyone it was in the winter, on December 25th, the same day as the Roman sun god, Mithra. With all the green in the video it looks like Jesus' birthday was really in the Spring, Summer, or possibly early Fall.
December 25th is the birthday of at least 5 gods who existed before Jesus was born. This makes Jesus the sixth (at least) mythical god to be born on Dec. 25th. Christianity is just a mish-mash and rehash of earlier religions.
December 25th is just a date Christians picked to unify the celebration. Just like Easter. And yes, it shares the same "date" with other Gods. But most historians know that Jesus was actually born between June and September...so there goes your little argument. And consider this: I was born on February 8th. I share that birthday with a thousand fictional characters that existed before me. BUT their false existence doesn't make ME any less real. How do you like them apples?
"December 25th is just a date Christians picked to unify the celebration."
This date was chosen completely at random? That just happened to be on the same date as a number of other gods? The similarities between Jesus and the rest of these gods born on Dec. 25th doesn't end there. Some were born of virgins, resurrected after 3 days, etc. etc. etc. Hmmm, sounds like a pattern in the storytelling here. If anyone wants to know what the etc etc etc is, watch "The god who wasn't there."
Right. I'll go ahead and watch that, because we all know that the best place to find the truth is in videos! Again, consider your own life and its similarities to countless fictional or mythological characters. And once again, their falsehood has no effect on the validity of your existence. As far as the date goes: how about you answer your own question? WAS it picked at random? I know the historical answer, but I'm curious to see if you do, or if you're too caught up in your hatred to see it
"how about you answer your own question? WAS it picked at random?"
No, the fiction writers of the bible wanted worshipers of these other pagan religions, so they made their story very similar to what these people already believed. This made conversion to the belief in a newer fairy tale that much easier.
"or if you're too caught up in your hatred to see it"
Nice job, you're absolutely right about why Dec. 25th was chosen. It was already popularized, and the starters of the Church figured it would be an easy transition from celebrations of pagan religions. However, this picking of one date doesn't mean the ENTIRE story of Christianity is "copying" other religions. Go find Dec 25the in the Bible. It's not there. Why? Because what the writers were concerned with was FACT, not traditions that stupid people added later.
You don't share an endless list of similarities with these celebrities. Jesus shares much more with these other gods then just the birthday people celebrate(d). Mmmmm, good apples!
Yes, I can find a number of similarities between me and characters that don't exist. And if you weren't so consumed by your hatred for God, you might be aware of this and many other truths as well. I tell you what: go and do some research on those other Gods. Find one that has even a BILLIONTH of the historical/archaeological/secular/etc. support as Jesus Christ does, aside from your little superficial Youtube theories, and I'd be happy to concede your point. Until then, Merry Christmas!
"Find one that has even a BILLIONTH of the historical/archaeological/secular/etc. support as Jesus Christ does"
There is not one credible mention of Jesus Christ outside of the bible that isn't based on the bible. Also, so many of the stories in the bible are so completely implausible that only the very gullible or the brainwashed could be made to actually believe them.
Now, I've entertained your semi-valid claims up until this point, but that "credible mention" argument is just ludicrous, and if you'd ever done any reading on so much as a 6th grade level, you'd know that. But hey, I'm just a "gullible, brainwashed" retard, so what do I know? Go do your research, son. I can't "prove" Jesus is real to you, just like you can't "prove" he's fake to me. If I'm wrong, big woop. But man, if you're wrong... sucks to be you.
"If I'm wrong, big woop. But man, if you're wrong... sucks to be you."
People believe in a thousand other gods, what if you're wrong? You'll end up in the same place I do. Luckily, ALL gods are delusions, so there's no need to worry about guessing wrong.
"If I'm wrong, big woop. But man, if you're wrong..."
actually if the christians are wrong and the muslims are correct...you will burn in the fires just like the non-believers.
god doesnt like people who stray even a little bit. you better hope you are a sniper when it comes to faith because if your wrong god will punish you for ever and ever.
It's amazing how much some people HATE Jesus and God. You don't want to believe in them? Fine. I don't beleive in unicorns. But I don't go around and completely bash unicorns everywhere I go, or belittle people that make cute videos about them. I don't waste time doing research trying to "disprove" unicorns as you have with Jesus. That's retarded. And PS: If you'd actually DONE the research, you'd see how outdated and invalid your little arguments are. Merry Christmas.
That's so sad :( What a great film. Our youth group also did a similar film in 2006 called "Happy Birthday X?" I've posted it as a video response. Great message!
aw chocolate607 that sux, did you have anyone else to come? =[
anyways,DONT LISTEN TO THOSE bad-commenting people on this video, they probably dont care about their religeion (or however you spell it) and just want attention

Man, do I feel bad for Jesus. Why it is in Comedy.... I don't think it is funny :( I know how it feels. I have a birthday party and I invite about 12, 13 girls but only 2 came. It cost my parents a LOT of money. Balloons, cake, pizza and more. But I remember his birthday.
Nothing in all creation is hidden from God. Everything is naked and exposed before His eyes, and He is the one to whom we are accountable. (Hebrews 4:13)
You and I will explain how we lived our lives... Indeed, Jesus, Merry Christmas! Thank You for dying for our sins: our selfishness, our greed, our pride, our lust... Thank You for washing them all away. WE LOVE YOU, JESUS!!! Without You, I have no good thing.
Jesus:"These people honour me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me, And in vain do they worship me, teaching doctrines and commandments of men:"Bible-Matt 15:7
Jesus: Many will say to me on that day (Day of resurrection), Lord Lord did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles? And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS. Bible-Matt7:22
look i'm an atheist...but i do give the guy credit who made this...it's pretty touching...even though i dont believe in "jesus" or "god"...but i say its touching cause u know all of us had those i had it...i made a birthday for myself and invited so many people to come...but they didnt...mom and dad had forgetten my birthday that day till nightfall...sigh i cried...thats why i liket his video..kinda opens a small old wound in my heart
I have to say im feeling a little chemically imbalanced today as i found out i didnt get a job opening that i really really wanted and on top of that some douchebag ruined a surprise i was planning for my girlfriend, with that said, this clip made me cry a little...screw all those people who forgot that christmas is really about christ and not all of you and your greedy gifts...jerks
note : to read the whole comment, start reading quite a few down with my first comment starting with "okay here's the deal..." and work your way up. sorry i ranted
I believe what most see "God" as to truthfully be nothing more than a combination of interconnected human relationships and the HIGHER thinking that comes with a "soul" the bible can be seen as effective but don't forget most of it was tales that don't always add up together. so... there.
moral? I don't believe "God" is what we think "he" is. we want what controls us to have the same basic outlines of what we see around us with some extra wisdom.
it's an explanation to release the unsure feelings they have about their lives. over time, those stories are widely accepted and what began as simple tales to make people grasp the spirit that is in all of us morph into many believers seeing the idea of a "GOD" as explicitly concrete and frankly disgustingly humanized.
and i really hope all of you read this because I've been thinking about it for a long time.
So humanity is created. evolution, deity, WHATEVER. and as time goes on, those humans who began as simple minded and animalistic creatures that only had to hunt and grunt to survive began to discover new things. with each new discovery, the minds of the humans were expanded. words became necessary, and social activity was born.
more time passes, and that society becomes more complex, adding in business, race divisions, class divisions based on property, and arguably most important- or at least what had the most impact on the ideas of reasoning for existance... religion. so no one can see what made them, and they don't know why they exist.
all they know is that they need to find a way to define what they think is right and get others to join them. so they develop inspiring stories and join the new complexities of the human spirit that drives mental and environmental improvements into a being similar to what they see around them. other humans, animals, imaginary mixtures of the two. the stories they invent give the deities powers to explain why they are able to have a grand plan for an entire universe.
Why would u deny God? he prayed for us before he died...even though shadrach u don't believe in the bible God will bless u..and normal people turn crazy because of other human beings not because of God..go to church and see how calm you will feel, he will forgive your sins, he wants to save you from your sins, and God never touched a woman because we are his children so think about what you say, it would be like he did a michael jackson sin u get me?GOD BLESS EVERYONE
you can say but uh why does this i a will do can a very not sure but but then again why does it mean that if he is like a this this anything should happen again after i said and told a hundred times a bout the sun being a moon in disguise as a bat of happy mappy super flower is the flower is the flower is the flower is the flower but then is is is
OK, you've got all the answers. I could debate with you an eternity, but I'm not going to. The Bible also says if you're not welcomed in a place to dust your feet off and move on to someone who has an open heart and mind. I'm sure you'll think "yeah, I ran another one off", but you're wrong. We just know when someone has a hardened heart and the Holy Spirit is the only one who can reach you. I hope you find what you're searching for. Dixiechristian signing off.
it's wonderful how you're putting in everything to prove that God is real, magnificent, and so mighty.
but arguing with those other ignorant people probably really wont help.
they're just THAT thick-headed. it just doesnt get through.
i pray you'll continue to grow spiritually, and if God should decide to create a miracle, one day they'll accept that they've been so stupid as to doubt the existence of God.
Thanks for the support. I guess I never fully understood there was so much disbelief and outright hostility toward Christ out there. I can understand how when there's a lot of hurt it's hard to believe, but that's what we're called to do. By faith - not by what we see. It's good to hear that there are at least a few other believers out there. Thanks for the encouragement and I hope God will bless you also. Have a great day!
Historians and archeologists have found Noah's ark, right where the Bible said it would be (including the right dimensions) The Dead Sea Scrolls etc. The Bible has eye witness testimonies from multitudes of people who saw Jesus. You can't prove there's gravity either, but you see the effects of it. Same with God, we see his work in creation and in us. When you can see, there's no room for faith. You enter heaven by faith and acceptance of Christ.
"Historians and archeologists have found Noah's ark" where?
"The Dead Sea Scrolls etc." 90& plus contradict the old testament. ever heard of the book of Enoch???
"The Bible has eye witness testimonies from multitudes of people who saw Jesus" but the oldest accounts existing are near 1000 years after his death? compare some similar fables..
"You can't prove there's gravity either" yes you can!
"You enter heaven by faith and acceptance of Christ." who? what?
The ark is in the mountains of Ararat in Turkey. No, the Scrolls do not contradict the OT, but reinforce it. And, no the accounts written are during the time of his life and then afterward. You haven't read the NT. Also, the OT predicts his coming thousands of years before he does. Christ is the son of God and one day, you will see that. But, I'm not going to argue with you. Read and pray about it yourself for revelation.
PS Dissdance - According to your belief system, you can only prove what you can see. Therefore, gravity can't be proven, only believed in because of its effects. It's the unseen force holding us to this earth. God is the invisible force that created us and this universe. Christ is his son who came in human form to show us how to live & is now in heaven. He is preparing a place there for his followers. One day, he said, everyone will acknowledge he is Lord. Don't wait, till it's too late for you.
"you can only prove what you can see" no, you can't see even light, just its effects."gravity can't be proven" are you sitting down or floating in space?
"God is the invisible force that created us and this universe." prove it mate."Christ is his son who came in human form to show us how to live & is now in heaven" prove it."He is preparing a place there for his followers. One day, he said, everyone will acknowledge he is Lord. Don't wait, till it's too late for you." prove it..
I don' have to prove it. It's faith that is required, not proof. I accept that Christ is the son of God as he says he is. He loves you and has a wonderful place prepared for you too, if you'll accept him too. The fact that you're arguing about it, shows he's trying to connect with you, but you don't want to admit it just might be true. Otherwise, you wouldn't be spending so much time searching and debating. Listen to his voice. He's calling for you.
"I don' have to prove it. It's faith that is required" but that just a wish for meaning/hope/delusion isn't it?
"The fact that you're arguing about it, shows he's trying to connect with you" he's got a shed load of abuse and death to answer for..
"you wouldn't be spending so much time searching and debating. Listen to his voice. He's calling for you" Trust me I've heard him and I still carry the scars
We all have scars, dissdance, because the world is an evil place. He's the only hope we have. He's the only one that can provide us hope, healing and get vengeance in his time in his way against those who hurt us. He doesn't promise us it will be easy. He assures us it won't be because the world is full of evil. We can't understand all the why's of things, but one day, we will be delivered.
lets stop going in circles mate, if you think faith makes a god, well good for you. but you should really do yourself the justice of researching history...
I agree with one thing - we're really not getting anywhere going in these circles. View my two videos Better Living and Bible Overview. It doesn't prove anything like you searching for, but it's something. I'm signing off, but wish you well and hope that you'll find peace.
i'm not saying i'm hardcore christian, but i do believe that something is guiding humanity somehow. it may not be a deity in the way that humans throughout history have defined it, and the bible may not always be spot on with what actually happened. but i have to say that i see nothing wrong with having faith and good morals as long as you are happy with yourself. if you die and none of us were even close to being correct on all of this junk then what harm has been done.
its called natural selection. it is the foundation for evolution. it has nothing to do with magic or gods.
the harm done is the promotion of delusional behaviour and thoughts. if you can be persuaded by religion you can be subject to other forms of delusion.
Everyone should read the Holy Bible. While there are things that will never make sense to our finite brains - The details are what religions are made from, and aren't important. The only thing that is, is that Jesus said "I am the way, the truth and the light. No one comes to the father but by me". And that takes faith. Faith comes in when we can't see it or have proof of something. WE just accept it. Jesus is Lord and one day - every knee will bow to him in this life or the life hereafter.
No one has seen Jesus in the past 2,000 years because he is sitting on the right hand of God in heaven now. He is with us in spirit. But, he did come to earth, born in the flesh to show us how to live and love and care for each other. He did die on the cross and did rise from the grave on the 3rd day and multitudes of people saw him. And, he did rise into heaven in front of many many people. Those are historical facts.
"born in the flesh to show us how to live and love and care for each other" ? how many people have been killed in the name of this god in the last 2-6000 years?
"He did die on the cross" you don't know your Greek do you?
"rise from the grave on the 3rd day and multitudes of people saw him" says who?
"did rise into heaven in front of many many people" how do you know?
"historical facts" how old is the oldest existing new testament?
How many people have been killed in the name of drugs, greed, lust etc? Those historical facts are written in the Bible, in the new Testament - a historical account of Jesus when he was on earth.I'm not a historian, nor do I claim to know it all. But, I believe the New Testament is about 2,000 years old.
Read the Bible for yourself. Most all religions agree that Jesus existed and did many wonderful miracles etc., and most believe there is a heaven or a peaceful place to go after life, but some don't believe he was the Messiah - only a really good man and prophet. I believe he is who he said he was, the Son of God. That's what I'm sticking to. Good luck with your search.
Adam was the first man, made from dust of the ground. Jesus came and was born as a man, but was God. He suffered as we humans do, but did not sin because he was perfect due to being the son of God. Yes, I accept those titles. He has many titles, but all point to his divinity, love, meekness, forgiving nature and strength to stand for what's right.

But we refuse to become his friend...How sad Jesus has to be...

well almost but i think it is the consumerism more than paganism.

A belief is a personal preference.
It should not be forced, but amplified for others to realize themselves what they truly believe.
Faith does not desire proof, or a reassurance, just belief.
Its when those who call themselves "True Christians" go out and bash others for what they believe and the same in reverse.
Galatians 6:7
Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap.
Read Galatians 5:24-6:18

since when was christmas about christ.. everyone know its about consumerism lol
greenlight345 3 years ago
Actually, that's true. It is about consumerism. It's amazing how many people actually believe Jesus was born on December 25th. There's not a single reference in the Bible that says Jesus was born on that day or that it needs to be celebrated. Jesus' birthday is just a rationalization for all the stupid traditions.
brokenjaw1971 3 years ago
Own personal thought: There's no real, factual date of his birth, but I think Dec 25th is chosen just as a day to celebrate it. May not be the right date, but it's still an annual reminder.
allforchrist939 3 years ago
The Holy Bible does not tell us the day of Jesus birth because Jesus always existed. Jesus is God. Jesus said "Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am."(John 8:58)
Tladams1986 3 years ago
We celebrate the day Jesus was born into this world, receiving His physical body... prior to that He was just a spirit. Jesus hasn't always existed though, He was the first born of God's spirit children... He's our eldest brother (as our spirit, the real us, is God's child also). God and Jesus are 2 seperate and distinct individual beings, proof of that is found throughout the Bible. When it says "we are one" its symbolic, meaning "we are united as a team"... they work together as one.
12Shilo12 2 years ago
Sorry, but something isn't proof just because it's written in a book.
Hobble 1 year ago
You're right, just because something is in print doesn't make it true. However if the Bible is true (isn't made up), if what is said in it turns out to be actual fact... then yes that's "proof". But my point still stands, based on what is written in the Bible it appears God and Jesus are actually separate individuals... people just misunderstand the "we are one" references (people have taken that literally when they shouldn't). @Neilfan12
12Shilo12 1 year ago
@12Shilo12 The mystery of the Trinity is, that the Spirit is the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of God. The Spirit is the Spirit of Christ as well. You simply take it as it comes in scripture. And, clearly, there are three members of the Trinity. There is the Father, theres the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Why is the son called the Son? For one primary reason, and that is because He bears the same nature as the Father. It is to make sure that we understand. We should not take things out of context.
Renbail 1 year ago
@Renbail No, the Holy Ghost/Spirit is not God or God's spirit. Just as you said... there is the Father (God), the Son (Jesus) and the Holy Ghost/Spirit... 3 people. They are not all manifestations of the same being, they are 3 individuals.
The son is called the Son because that's what Jesus is, God's literal son (both in spirit AND body, unlike with us where God is just the father of our spirits).
Don't take Bible out of context, but also don't take everything literally. Much is parable.
12Shilo12 1 year ago
@12Shilo12 Its a concession to us as human beings because the Father didnt create the Son. There never was a time when there was only a Father until He had a son, and there was never a mother. Those are simply terms to identify, and they did so for the Jewish mind, "shared nature." And, Jesus defined that very clearly when he said, If youve seen me, youve seen the Father. I and the Father are one. I work and the Father works, and theres no difference. John 14:7 There is only one god.
Renbail 1 year ago
@Renbail You're mistaken. Jesus is quite literally God's son... God the Father DID create Jesus' spirit just as He (God) fathered our spirits. Don't take the "we are one" literally in the Bible, it's just symbolic..."we are one" is actually saying "we are united as a team". Sports teams often say "we are one", but you know they're not literally the same being/person... same thing with the Godhead, it's symbolic. Don't take everything in the Bible at face value. Jesus often taught by parable.
12Shilo12 1 year ago
@12Shilo12 My question is to you, where in the Bible does it say "we are one" is symbolic? If we read the bible like this, it will make some statements contradictory. Let me ask you, according to this logic, what must one do in order to be saved according to the Bible?
Renbail 1 year ago
So dates don't matter and they can just be arbitrary, and we can celebrate things not mentioned in the bible? Well, with that logic we should celebrate the day Jesus first started walking. How about June 21st? We can rip it off the Wiccan holiday of Summer Solstice and we can pretend the bonfires they build are to celebrate Jesus learning to walk! Don't worry, though, we can over-commercialize it so it loses its meaning but still use it as a ignorant justification to participate.
brokenjaw1971 3 years ago
well you should look up more why us Catholics celebrates the birth of our Saviour on December 25th.
ilyonym21 3 years ago
I can't find any info better why Catholics do than anyone else. So please tell me why you celebrate the birth of Jesus on December 25th. How do you know He was born on December 25th? What authority dictates that you celebrate it? Do you participate in the commercialized festivities of Christmas, or do you exclude them and whole-heartedly focus on the birth of Christ. People like to SAY things like "our Saviour" to feel religious. I'd like to see you actually back it up.
brokenjaw1971 3 years ago
I know why nobody showed up for Jesus' birthday. It's because Pope Julius told everyone it was in the winter, on December 25th, the same day as the Roman sun god, Mithra. With all the green in the video it looks like Jesus' birthday was really in the Spring, Summer, or possibly early Fall.

Actually Christmas is a pagan holiday that the inventors of Christianity adopted into their own fictional work. Other gods "born" on Dec 25th:
mithras, ancient persian god,
dionysis, ancient greek god,
adonis, ancient greek god,
krishna, ancient indian god,
horus, ancient egyptian god
the list goes on and on, as do other similarities, like the virgin birth, rising from the dead, three wise men, etc, etc, etc
I hate to tell you this, but Christianity is just rehashing older religions.
ColoradoMikeyS 3 years ago
Jesus loves you...even if you don't celebrate His birthday.
amberandemily 3 years ago 4
December 25th is the birthday of at least 5 gods who existed before Jesus was born. This makes Jesus the sixth (at least) mythical god to be born on Dec. 25th. Christianity is just a mish-mash and rehash of earlier religions.
ColoradoMikeyS 3 years ago
December 25th is just a date Christians picked to unify the celebration. Just like Easter. And yes, it shares the same "date" with other Gods. But most historians know that Jesus was actually born between June and September...so there goes your little argument. And consider this: I was born on February 8th. I share that birthday with a thousand fictional characters that existed before me. BUT their false existence doesn't make ME any less real. How do you like them apples?
nicknock1987 3 years ago
"December 25th is just a date Christians picked to unify the celebration."
This date was chosen completely at random? That just happened to be on the same date as a number of other gods? The similarities between Jesus and the rest of these gods born on Dec. 25th doesn't end there. Some were born of virgins, resurrected after 3 days, etc. etc. etc. Hmmm, sounds like a pattern in the storytelling here. If anyone wants to know what the etc etc etc is, watch "The god who wasn't there."
ColoradoMikeyS 3 years ago
I know the historical answer, but I'm curious to see if you do, or if you're too caught up in your hatred to see it
nicknock1987 3 years ago
"how about you answer your own question? WAS it picked at random?"
No, the fiction writers of the bible wanted worshipers of these other pagan religions, so they made their story very similar to what these people already believed. This made conversion to the belief in a newer fairy tale that much easier.
"or if you're too caught up in your hatred to see it"
How can one hate a fictional character?
ColoradoMikeyS 3 years ago
Nice job, you're absolutely right about why Dec. 25th was chosen. It was already popularized, and the starters of the Church figured it would be an easy transition from celebrations of pagan religions. However, this picking of one date doesn't mean the ENTIRE story of Christianity is "copying" other religions. Go find Dec 25the in the Bible. It's not there. Why? Because what the writers were concerned with was FACT, not traditions that stupid people added later.
nicknock1987 3 years ago
"the writers were concerned with was FACT"
Does this include the talking snake, living in a whale, and the world was created in six days too?
ColoradoMikeyS 3 years ago
"How do you like them apples?"
You don't share an endless list of similarities with these celebrities. Jesus shares much more with these other gods then just the birthday people celebrate(d). Mmmmm, good apples!
ColoradoMikeyS 3 years ago
Yes, I can find a number of similarities between me and characters that don't exist. And if you weren't so consumed by your hatred for God, you might be aware of this and many other truths as well. I tell you what: go and do some research on those other Gods. Find one that has even a BILLIONTH of the historical/archaeological/secular/etc. support as Jesus Christ does, aside from your little superficial Youtube theories, and I'd be happy to concede your point. Until then, Merry Christmas!
nicknock1987 3 years ago
"Find one that has even a BILLIONTH of the historical/archaeological/secular/etc. support as Jesus Christ does"
There is not one credible mention of Jesus Christ outside of the bible that isn't based on the bible. Also, so many of the stories in the bible are so completely implausible that only the very gullible or the brainwashed could be made to actually believe them.
ColoradoMikeyS 3 years ago
Now, I've entertained your semi-valid claims up until this point, but that "credible mention" argument is just ludicrous, and if you'd ever done any reading on so much as a 6th grade level, you'd know that. But hey, I'm just a "gullible, brainwashed" retard, so what do I know? Go do your research, son. I can't "prove" Jesus is real to you, just like you can't "prove" he's fake to me. If I'm wrong, big woop. But man, if you're wrong... sucks to be you.
nicknock1987 3 years ago

"If I'm wrong, big woop. But man, if you're wrong... sucks to be you."
People believe in a thousand other gods, what if you're wrong? You'll end up in the same place I do. Luckily, ALL gods are delusions, so there's no need to worry about guessing wrong.
ColoradoMikeyS 3 years ago

I believe what most see "God" as to truthfully be nothing more than a combination of interconnected human relationships and the HIGHER thinking that comes with a "soul" the bible can be seen as effective but don't forget most of it was tales that don't always add up together. so... there.
meliisgangsta 4 years ago
moral? I don't believe "God" is what we think "he" is. we want what controls us to have the same basic outlines of what we see around us with some extra wisdom.
meliisgangsta 4 years ago
it's an explanation to release the unsure feelings they have about their lives. over time, those stories are widely accepted and what began as simple tales to make people grasp the spirit that is in all of us morph into many believers seeing the idea of a "GOD" as explicitly concrete and frankly disgustingly humanized.
meliisgangsta 4 years ago
Okay here's the deal...
and i really hope all of you read this because I've been thinking about it for a long time.
So humanity is created. evolution, deity, WHATEVER. and as time goes on, those humans who began as simple minded and animalistic creatures that only had to hunt and grunt to survive began to discover new things. with each new discovery, the minds of the humans were expanded. words became necessary, and social activity was born.
meliisgangsta 4 years ago
more time passes, and that society becomes more complex, adding in business, race divisions, class divisions based on property, and arguably most important- or at least what had the most impact on the ideas of reasoning for existance... religion. so no one can see what made them, and they don't know why they exist.
meliisgangsta 4 years ago
all they know is that they need to find a way to define what they think is right and get others to join them. so they develop inspiring stories and join the new complexities of the human spirit that drives mental and environmental improvements into a being similar to what they see around them. other humans, animals, imaginary mixtures of the two. the stories they invent give the deities powers to explain why they are able to have a grand plan for an entire universe.
meliisgangsta 4 years ago
Why would u deny God? he prayed for us before he died...even though shadrach u don't believe in the bible God will bless u..and normal people turn crazy because of other human beings not because of God..go to church and see how calm you will feel, he will forgive your sins, he wants to save you from your sins, and God never touched a woman because we are his children so think about what you say, it would be like he did a michael jackson sin u get me?GOD BLESS EVERYONE

Dixiechristian signing off.

but arguing with those other ignorant people probably really wont help.

You enter heaven by faith and acceptance of Christ.
dixiechristian 4 years ago
"Historians and archeologists have found Noah's ark" where?
"The Dead Sea Scrolls etc." 90& plus contradict the old testament. ever heard of the book of Enoch???
"The Bible has eye witness testimonies from multitudes of people who saw Jesus" but the oldest accounts existing are near 1000 years after his death? compare some similar fables..
"You can't prove there's gravity either" yes you can!
"You enter heaven by faith and acceptance of Christ." who? what?
dissdance 4 years ago
The ark is in the mountains of Ararat in Turkey. No, the Scrolls do not contradict the OT, but reinforce it. And, no the accounts written are during the time of his life and then afterward. You haven't read the NT. Also, the OT predicts his coming thousands of years before he does. Christ is the son of God and one day, you will see that. But, I'm not going to argue with you. Read and pray about it yourself for revelation.
dixiechristian 4 years ago
PS Dissdance - According to your belief system, you can only prove what you can see. Therefore, gravity can't be proven, only believed in because of its effects. It's the unseen force holding us to this earth. God is the invisible force that created us and this universe. Christ is his son who came in human form to show us how to live & is now in heaven. He is preparing a place there for his followers. One day, he said, everyone will acknowledge he is Lord. Don't wait, till it's too late for you.
dixiechristian 4 years ago
"you can only prove what you can see" no, you can't see even light, just its effects."gravity can't be proven" are you sitting down or floating in space?

dissdance 4 years ago
I don' have to prove it. It's faith that is required, not proof. I accept that Christ is the son of God as he says he is. He loves you and has a wonderful place prepared for you too, if you'll accept him too. The fact that you're arguing about it, shows he's trying to connect with you, but you don't want to admit it just might be true. Otherwise, you wouldn't be spending so much time searching and debating. Listen to his voice. He's calling for you.

I'm signing off, but wish you well and hope that you'll find peace.

loved the video, it's subtle yet very true, and it's a shame the world has gone the way it has.

i'm not saying i'm hardcore christian, but i do believe that something is guiding humanity somehow. it may not be a deity in the way that humans throughout history have defined it, and the bible may not always be spot on with what actually happened. but i have to say that i see nothing wrong with having faith and good morals as long as you are happy with yourself. if you die and none of us were even close to being correct on all of this junk then what harm has been done.
meliisgangsta 4 years ago
its called natural selection. it is the foundation for evolution. it has nothing to do with magic or gods.
the harm done is the promotion of delusional behaviour and thoughts. if you can be persuaded by religion you can be subject to other forms of delusion.
its dangerous.

hahaha ROTFLMAO !
this god/lord thing you want to believe in has sure got a sick sense of humour. if it can't be proved, just faith, then...
did it make faith?
OR
did faith make it?
please explain and provide some real proof..
it's got a lot of blood on its hands mate.

Jesus is Lord and one day - every knee will bow to him in this life or the life hereafter.

you have faith in zombie jesus, why not in unicorns or bigfoot? do you worship santa clause?
more proof for santa, at least we see him every winter. nobody has ever seen god or jesus (in the past 2,000 years).

Those are historical facts.

heaven? where's that?
spirit? what's that?
"born in the flesh to show us how to live and love and care for each other" ? how many people have been killed in the name of this god in the last 2-6000 years?
"He did die on the cross" you don't know your Greek do you?
"rise from the grave on the 3rd day and multitudes of people saw him" says who?
"did rise into heaven in front of many many people" how do you know?
"historical facts" how old is the oldest existing new testament?
dissdance 4 years ago
How many people have been killed in the name of drugs, greed, lust etc? Those historical facts are written in the Bible, in the new Testament - a historical account of Jesus when he was on earth.I'm not a historian, nor do I claim to know it all. But, I believe the New Testament is about 2,000 years old.

it says it's 2000 years old but the oldest copies are getting on 1000 years newer.

Good luck with your search.

jesus also said he was "a door" and "a lamb", do you accept these titles too?
according to the bible, we are all gods children, what makes jesus so special. adam was gods first born, why dont you worship him?
Shadrach76 4 years ago
Adam was the first man, made from dust of the ground. Jesus came and was born as a man, but was God. He suffered as we humans do, but did not sin because he was perfect due to being the son of God. Yes, I accept those titles. He has many titles, but all point to his divinity, love, meekness, forgiving nature and strength to stand for what's right.

jesus thought slavery, combat, and women as second class citizens were all ok.
how can you support this?
