  • Why do these old foxes continue to hoodwink young Kenyans who hardly knew Kenyatta, that he was a great man who fought for the freedom Africans! He was a despot who took advantage people's ignorance to camouflage as a freedom fighter, but actually was a collaborator who hated freedom fighters! His first government was full of collaboraters, who grabbed every idle piece of land that belonged to Kenyans! I will take that back and also rewrite history as it should once elected president in Kenya!

  • Michuki at the back @ 12:25?

  • FUNNY ENOUGH KENYANS NOW WILL BEND THEIR BACKS TO SPEAK THE COLONIALISTS LANGUAGE

  • I am an African in America (African American) and I thank God for Brother Kenyatta!! He was a true Revolutionary who believed in the freedom of all Black People and the right to true independence, free from European interference. I think you should look at the role America and its CIA has played in the "Civil Wars" in your country. ALL AFRICANS need to support each other from the Destruction of European Colonialism and Imperialism. Let's Stop Dividing ourselves. "Up You Mighty Race" Unite!!

  • Check out 1:04...exact Uhuru Kenyatta Copyright!!!

  • this man was a despot , a very serious despot in the making. mwenye alimuua alitufanyia a very good thing

  • Jomo kenyatta was a great leader.......And until yesterday, i would have laid down my shirt so that his offsprings could walk over a puddle! ......but that was until yesterday..

...which was before i learned that UHURU KENYATTA is ranked number 26TH!! among AFRICA'S WEALTHIEST PEOPLE!!!....and the jounal clearly states that this wealth is not accumulated by uhuru kenyatta at all. It is because he is an heir to the kenyatta gold mines! wow! and people still hate moi! ??!!

  • Thank you for this..... so informative.

  • thanks, this is lovely.

  • Homage to JOMO KENYATTA, born on 20 October(1894-1978). First President of Kenya and Prominent Independence Leader.

  • @arenadri7 . PROMINENT? Mr stop dreaming.

  • koigi is lucky .if it was those days we will be hearing koigi no more

  • @ 01:07 Uhuru Kenyatta copyright

  • Listen KENYANS. Koigi is just calling 'a spade a spade' Our current Kenyan problems are as a result of Kenyatta. PLease. In order to help Kenya ACCEPT the fact.

  • @kaungakaunga Our problems are a result of people who constantly point hands and do nothing.

  • @Brayo122. In oder for us to do something, we must accept that their is a problem and identify its root. ONLY THEN, CAN YOU START CURING. KUBALI UKWELI KWANZA.

  • Tribalism is like racism....a nation will not succeed with such mentalities... recognize yourself as JUST KENYAN

  • people like Stanley Githunguri obtained political favours(he has confessed) by going against the law.I therefore question your wealth.

  • Ee Mungu nguvu yetu Ilete baraka kwetu Haki iwe ngao na mlinzi Natukae kwa Undugu Amani na uhuru Raha tupate na ustawi. ----------------------------------- O God of all creation Bless this our land and nation Justice be our shield and defender May we dwell in unity Peace and liberty Plenty be found within our borders.
  • @kwakirima, i agree with you totally. shame on those individuals who spread hatred among ANY AND ALL ETHNIC GROUPS! SHAME ON THEM AND ANY TRIBALISTIC PEOPLE IN OUR COUNTRY! SHAME ON THEM! kikuyu, luo, luhya, kisii, kamba, kalenjin, maasai, mijikenda etc etc!!! and whomever they maybe! i am ashamed that to this day, nearly 50 years after our independence kenyans still do not regard each other as brothers and sisters! SHAME ON ALL POLITICIANS WHO HAVE HELPED TO PROMOTE AND PRACTICE TRIBALISM!

  • nice video.great history.was not born yet,but i see from pictures of the support he received from all kenyans.shame of Kikuyus who've failed to follow suit and only spreads hatred towards other ethnic groups.shame on people like Joseph kamotho who even claimed kikuys to be much superior that other tribes like luhyas who are only cooks and watchmen.non is better than the other.we are all equal.......

  • I'M NOT SURE ABOUT THE GREAT GOVERNMENT PART!AND YES TAKING PRIDE AND DECLARING ONE'S ORIGIN IS NEITHER TRIBALISTIC NOR OFFENSIVE IN ANYWAY,UNLESS INDIVIDUALS SINGLE THEMSELVES OUT AND CHOSE TO TAKE OFFENCE, EVERYBODY HAS A RIGHT TO DECLARE WHOM THEY ARE! WE SHOULD ALL UNITE AND CELEBRATE OUR DIVERSITY AS A NATION,WHILE APPRECIATING OUR SIMILARITIES! I AM A KENYAN BY BIRTH AND KIKUYU BY THE GRACE OF GOD! WHO DO YOU IDENTIFY AS??

  • GREAT COMMENT BUT THE ( " OF KIKUYU ORIGIN " ) PART WAS NOT NECESSARY------> LONG LIVE KENYA AND LETS TRULY CONTINUE TO BE LOYAL TO SUCH A GREAT GOVERNMENT !

  • A Country founded on a rock! long live kenya!! proud to be a kenyan of kikuyu origin! let us work hard to unite and bring together all the peoples of our beautiful motherland!Kenya belongs to all of us! poverty, illiteracy and diseases are our common enemy! we need each other now more than ever!Let us pray and join hands for a peaceful and fruitful election 2012! NO BLOODSHED IN OUR LAND!!! NO BLOODSHED IN OUR LAND!!!

  • True that bro, Koigi is a wolf in sheeps clothing, a two faced jackass. As the MP for Subukia his constituents learnt first hand what kind of man he was and promptly kicked him to the curb, where he has been since and where he shall be.

  • Koigi wa wamwere! What an imbecile! for many years we had supported and prayed for you, as Moi jailed and beat the crap out of your sorry ass!!! you are absolutely pathetic as we saw you campaigning just the other to defend a constitution that you had once fought bitterly to change! To think that i once took you seriously! Lol!!

  • niiice. love the video

  • Very powerful and balanced story!

  • A founding president who did more evil than good for his country. Kenyatta was a power hungry pseudo freedom fighter, a thief, land grabber, foul mouthed corrupt, tribalist murderer. Worse he sired a more despicable character than himself in one Uhuru Kenyatta, a criminal suspect who unfortunately sees himself as the heir to the throne of a monarchy that his father sought to install in Kenya. Kenyans watch out for Kenyatta orphans who think they are entitled to power & national resources.

  • killer and land grabber, he keep coastal pple third class citizen, i feel like to eat him,

  • good Job!

  • shikhukhu is a strong story teller i love repeating that part in this vidio.ken amollo

  • in kenya we did not have democracy just dectator leaders, maybe 2012 we will have, killing of the best people , as coaster i was very happy so dat our coast people will leave without fear, i wonder y he could go to kisumu no y coz there tough there not soft like coasters; watch out we are cuming, how can all the top job belong to just one tribe? u tell me,

  • wow! I just lyk video. Beautiful, we miss u mzee.

  • I just love Shikuku. the way he tells it, he make you see the scenes. A powerful and talented story teller. I wish i was his grandson. Karume not bad either. I wish Kibaki was half brave like Kenyatta. Linus did u try to get Moi, Mama Ngina, Uhuru and Raila? It would have been completed with them. anyway thanx!

  • Githunguri's Lillian Towers story, surely the most logical thing would have been to repeal the archaic 1954 by-law first! I wouldnt be surprised if the by-law still exists

  • Lol, MO! was taking off? Interesting ish!!

  • Wao, kept me glued on youtube. Job well done!

  • GOOD JOB NTV.NOW WE NEED DVDS FOR PROMULGATION CEREMONY...........ANYBODY AT NTV HOUSE LISTENING??????????????

  • Asian origin not extraction. Linus! please.

  • Will people say the same things about Moi. He underdeveloped Kenya and I take it personally.

  • I have always been inspired by one Mwai Kibaki, he has tried his chance but just like anything that is human, criticism will always be seen. We hope that he will be vindicated by time, because I remember where he got the country who growth was -2% to 7 percent average. Raila used to say that it should be double digit, now that he is prime minister make it 5 per cent at least.

  • Listening to Nyachae is painful, its like he is roaring!

  • @mamayake thats his nature.hes alwayz like that

  • More More More. Great Job NTV brings back memories. More More More.

  • sorry to ask but did jomo hav mefango ya kado never heard nthin mybe nbdy dared to spill the beans

  • @mwendapolee Already had 4 wives and was too old.I dont get the meaning when they say that Jomo used to dance with all the ministers wives.Lena Moi declined and Moi divorced her, which kind of dance was that?? Did it went beyond the Dance floor??

  • @almunjama i wudnt hav said noo those eyes hehehe

  • And yeah, firing that chief over the phone?,please, that's double Jeopardy. He went through the system established at that time and was not guilty. Instead of reacting the way he did, he shoud have reformed the judicial system. One chief fired is not going to stop 100 others from using the same loop hole.

  • i have always heard stories of Kenyatta's legendary dictatorship, i would like to thank Stanley for shading the light first hand about his ruthlessenes, and pure disregard of the law of the land. Calling the city council worker to state house to approve his document was not the right way to go about it. One law should apply to all.You cannot be President for the choosen few by applying selective leadership.

  • I am Ugandan and I can tell you when I was a kid, Martin Shikuku was one of my political heroes.

Seeing him in these series makes me admire him even more!

  • Kuna Technicality nyingine Njonjo? Lol!

They do not teach this kind of authority in School.

  • how old was mama ngina when she got married to jomo? hope she wasnt under age

  • @mwendapolee she was actually working as a house girl at Wahu's house ie Kenyatta first wife.

  • @almunjama thats classic from rags to riches no wonder she was always in the background

  • i honestly feel like people some people around Kenyatta are the one to blame for all the assassinations..I really doubt MOI so much. He probably had something to do with all the killings. I mean seriously Kenyatta was really cool altho no human being is perfect...take for instance the incidence of the chief in Butere. Njonjo's "technicalities" fucked shit up. Njonjo is still a culprit!!!!

  • come on........... the man did some good and also some bad...you just have to accept that dont be blinded by tribalism.... anyway great documentary now one on MOI,MBOYA ,ODINGA AND JM KARIUKI.....

  • Shikuku is a great story teller, calls it the way he sees it!!!

  • @karuitha now we kow where your allegiance lies - you are a stupid bigot. You have been talking bad of everyone who is not from your tribe. Kenyattaa did many good things but also failed in so many ways. At the same time President Moi succeeded in so many ways and failed in others, yet you seem to give him a very foul verdict. You R simply a STUPID TRIBALIST WHO HAS NO PLACE IN THE KENYA OF TODAY. Poverty & IGNORANCE breeds tribalism. What do you do for a living? just curious?

  • Great documentary on the great man but there is alot of stones still left unturned. I was an infant when he died so I do not know what to make of the man, he still remains a legendary mythical figure to me.

  • Thanks NTV.Kenyatta was a legend n i can see much of kibakis rule coming from mzee.Thy all really respected him,he was a great man,Shikuku pewa thubu is hilarious, that guy is a great story teller his grand children must be very proud,i've come to admire him of late,he has woken up a side that i neva saw in him before, its a new dawn in Kenya,n when yu watch these series yu get that sense of pride to be kenyan today.thumbs up to all Wazees who r contributing to these great stories.

  • Good piece but there is alot more to be told. These is just a begining, give us more.

  • Koigi you are pathetic n useless!

  • @siasabora How sick is koigi, jeeez, really pathetic man. You know what, I have started to see that he is truly becoming mentally ill. I just dont understand why the Nationa media is giving him a mouthpiece to spew his idiotic venom. He is really sick. He is the same man that has been praising Moi lately despite how inhumanly he had treated him.

  • @K Moi not only messed him up he also stressed Koigi's mother even in death! He is deteriorating fast,he no longer makes no sense. For 30 acres he is gone insane.

  • @ 21:15- Baba jimmy looks freaking brilliant. Love Shikuku- and Githunguri what a great story tellers.

  • Does Koigi wa mwere really know what he's saying? How can you say everyone was happy for Kenyatta's death, while even Oginga mourned his death? I dont have time to listen to such idiots....he has done absolutely nothing for the country....Just persued his self interests only....

  • @lennykamau1 I was shocked when I heard him say that. he is losing it, you can tell since he started opposing the new constitution campaigning with Moi the man that kept him in prison and refused him freedom to bury his father. Moi the man who ordered the police to beat up his own mother. Koigi is the man that has been singing praises abt Moi lately. I curse his mouth for saying that.

  • I love this....it is very very moving and Kenya has a very rich history....Yes..the man was fully in command....the man had authority, it is an authority which i admire... and this was not just a simple authority....I love even the songs that were sung in his funeral...(the song written especially by Dalius Mbela..."Natazama Kilele....")...I dont know where i can get those songs...May God bless Kenya....

  • I remember being feried to state house nakuru to sing for kenyatta behind glas we were transported in lorry lyk gunias n stil rulin at 90 eeiiissshhh

  • I LOVE it soooooo much at 31:00....just listen to J.K.

  • Good Job.

  • Well done NTV. We like such informative local production that is of world class quality and well researched.

  • bure kabisa, this guy messed up kenya with his dictatorship

  • @sammohochi go hung ur self, Kenyatta is a LEGEND

  • @sammohochi Anyway u are right, by promoting tribalism, grabbing land from peasents and betraying Mau Mau veterans

  • Beautiful Work... We NEED More, Will Moi ever open up and give details of his Rule?

  • There is no doubt that the man had charisma, he was almost regal, however, as Githunguri, Nyachae and Njonjo attests, he planted the seed of impunity with no regard to the rule of law. You see the culture of patronage taking root as he consolidates power eventually eliminating perceived rivals.

  • He forgot 2 watches on both wrists. Also the Maasai belt which some people say gave him the name Kenyatta. He was also an actor, he starred in the 1934 movie, Sanders of the river.

  • @81: a Legend
