You cannot compare Montjeu to Dubai Millennium - simply because Montjeu was an invincible 12 furlong horse, when Dubai Millennium could not go the distance.
I'm actually commenting to ask about the music from 1:56 onwards. Any ideas? An aria of some sort?
Of course you can compare horses that run at different distances, its called handicapping. That's how you come up with Champion's each year. And Montjeu wasn't invincible at 12 furlongs, just ask Mr Oxx, who's Sinndar beat him in the Arc!!!
his abundance of raw energy and his unbelievable cruising speed would have been too much for montjeu. montjeu would have to have used his incredible turn of foot just to get within smelling distance of Dubai millennium. he truly was a great race horse and i can see why he was the apple of sheikh Mohammed's eye. his is he best i have ever and most likely ever will see race.
i was lucky enough to see him run in one of his first races at doncaster. even then there was an charisma about. it is unlikely that i will ever see another horse like him. if he had been given the opportunity to race another great horse in montjeu, in a proposed match race, i think he would have beaten montjeu hands down
A world-class racehorse. it's just too bad his career was cut short by injury & did'nt had the chance to race in the U.S. in the fall classics like the Breeders Cup Classic.

I contacted Godolphin about 3 weeks ago and they responded. It is called "Injection" by Hans Zimmer, from the Mission Impossible II soundtrack. :-)

He was a phenomenon. It's just a pity that his career was cut short by injury or he would have no doubt proven himself one of the greatest ever.
