  • This commercial still gets me choked up.This is how they're supposed to be done. They should be able to keep their impact decades after their release.

  • hohoho im huh huh hungry

  • Pebbles would only satisfy me if they had meat in them. Nice Commerical, though.

  • Hey Fred, How can we celebrate christmas if Jesus hasn't been born yet?

    Just eat your fucking cereal.

  • @tommytanker36

Yeah, cause everyone knows 'Fred' was actually responsible for making this commercial, right?

  • Anyone ever notice how Fred never puts the spoon in his mouth yet magically is chewing on his cereal?

  • This is my favorite christmas commerical when I was a kid

  • Funny how cavemen in the Flintstones can celebrate Christmas centuries prior to Christ's birth. lol.

  • @Mavericker7

'Christmas' itself is never mentioned in this commercial. Nor, in any of the Flintstones episodes is the actual year revealed. What I do know is that the Flintstones had cars, cameras, lawn mowers and vaccum cleaners. That stuff never existed either in the perceived 'early B.C.' time frame, but it interesting to find morons questioning the 'Christmas inconsistency' when this show was nothing more than a modern tongue-in-cheek take on 'Cave Men' to begin with.

  • john cena is the director of this add

  • @TheSouthDade Who's John Cena?

  • Barney's such a moochie McGee.

  • How are They celebrating Christmas if Jesus isn't born yet???????

  • I remember this commercial back when I was 9 or 10. Shouldn't Santa be telling Barney not to steal Fred's Fruity Pebbles? Surely Barney had to be on Santa's naughty list.

  • Don't be a dick, Fred. Box of Pebbles goes for what, two bucks?

  • Back when halloween was in october, thanksgiving was in november, and christmas was in december...like, i went to jc penny the other day and they already have their christmas adverts and even x-mas trees all over the place :/

  • @djAnonymous10 I agree they gonna try to make x-mas a three month event

  • Freds like "Okay you can have some now but you can forget about it tomarrow!"

  • Funny thing about this commercial, when they re-aired it in the 2000s, all the sound effects were removed. Weird, huh?

  • @530aftescho I knew something was wrong with it, but could never put my finger on it. You just solved a mystery that I have long since put on the backburner.

  • Fred forgot to Pour Milk in the Cereal.

  • @Fartingbellybutton That was on purpose. Do you really think he wanted Barney to TRULY enjoy the Pebbles?

  • I'M in the holiday spirit now

  • i remember this commercial in about 2001

  • Anytime my wife is in the kitchen cooking, I always say, "Ho Ho Ho I'm Ha Ha Hungry."

  • wow i love the old commercials there so awsome wish i was young agin :( but i miss the awsome cartoons from the 80's and 90's the new stuff is sooo lame

  • gosh i remember watching this commercial in french back in 1988 in montreal, canada...brings me tears to my eyes...i wonder if the french version is out there

  • I so remember this commercial.

  • This came out back when holiday cheer was more important than making as much money from the shoppers as possible.

  • Yaaaay, such nostalgia when I watched this, can remember this commercial and the Big Red commercial was my fave!! Lol thanks for the post!

  • GOD I miss this!! When people had the balls to say Christmas is their commercials. Nowadays you just catch a glimpse of Santa and a Christmas tree! BRING BACK THE OLD DAYS!!!!!

  • @hyperseth1

Would you like us to go back as far as when they had to show husbands and wives in twin beds?

  • Ho Ho Ho I'M Ho Ho Hungry. (Program in my head after 20 years)

  • christmas just isnt the same without this commerical i hope they decide to air this commercial and all the old christmas commercials again this christmas

  • Nothing like a good ol' breakfast on Christmas Eve, chillin' with Santa in 6000 BC

  • @Brainstrain I know & isn't it amazing how they celebrity Christmas even before the birth of Jesus

  • @kingamer19

That irony is just one of the many things that makes the show amusing!

  • Yabba dabba doo, delicious goo.

  • I've seen this commercial so many times as a kid, for so many Christmases, I can recite every line verbatim. Good times...

  • Yabba Dabba Fruit Delicious too! Holiday sharing is sweet. I am excited for our Christmas special this year!

  • Barney: SANTA?!?!?! MY PEBBLES!!! >:O

Santa: Tis the season to be sharing... "FRED"

    lol wtf

  • I'm so glad I was born in 1981 and had a chance to enjoy this as a little kid :)

  • This brings back good memories I had as a kid in the 80's. Good times.

  • Did Those Jealous Ass Jews Have Anything to do With Us Not Seeing This Commercial anymore.

  • This comercial brings back memories.

  • It is Christmas eve and i'm watching this. A definite Christmas Classic!

  • i did the same thing since november of that year lol

  • Wow! Look at how much else has to be there for Pebbles to be part of a nutritious breakfast.

  • Too bad they didn't show this one in years. It was always one of my favorites.

  • Everytime I see this commercial or any other Christmas commercial like the Folger's Coffee "Peter Comes Home For Christmas", it reminds me of my childhood growing up in the 80's.

  • im 37 and i would go back to those good days in a heart beat

  • i hear that

  • @PALIMOST lol thats so funny al be 37 in about 2 1/2 months and i was just thinking the same thing...Your defiently not alone friend...why did everything just seam so much easier...alas i know not...merry christmas

  • This commercial is from the late 80s and it's one of those classic commercials that i remember as kid. I first remember seeing it in the early 1990s and it was still shown on TV well through the 90s. I don't see it anymore on TV, damn shame. But this has to be my fav christmas commercial, and it looked to me like Santa didn't want to share.

  • It does not feel like Christmas till I see this commercial.

  • YES!!!! I love this commercial! I have it memorized word for word. And fred finally gives barney cereal. How heart warming and appropriate. :)

  • This was one of my favorite commercials. It made me love Christmas more than I already did....and also hungry for Fruity Pebbles.

  • I love how he finnaly shares!!!

  • This is one of my all-time favorite commercials. I love fruity pebbles.

  • My favorite Christmas commercial of all time! It's the only one me and my sister know all the lyrics to, and still sing it every year.

  • This just put me more into the Christmas spirit than anything so far this year.

  • My favorite Christmas commercial of all time!!!

  • Oh my god. I use to watch Cartoon Network all the time with my brother. and I just remembered this commercial.

  • One of my favorites! Question: In earlier versions of this commercial, I seem to remember Fred wishing Barney a "Merry Christmas" rather than "Happy Holidays." Does anyone else remember this or am I wrong?

  • You are right. Now since everyone wants to be politically correct later they changed it to Happy Holidays!

  • I definately remember this commercial! I'm sure I have this on a VHS recording of some various Christmas specials...an absolute favorite of mine!

A little sidenote: this was one of the very last commercials done with the late great Mel Blanc

  • Good grief I must have watched a lot of television when I was a kid! I have had this commercial memorized for years - not intentionally, either. Brings back holiday memories.

  • oh my god i tear up everytime

  • i remember this!!! loved it!

  • I love Christmas and I love this commercial cuz of it's Christmas theme. I always thought it was so touching how Fred finally shared his Pebbles w/ Barney for the holidays. LoL.

  • I love how Fred finally shares his Pebbles with Barney in this one! Almost makes me weepy!

  • i miss the flinstones christmas commercials same with mcdonalds christmas commercials Kmart and nabisco cookies christmas commercials and im only 28 years old what i wouldnt give just to go back in time and enjoy the best christmas commercials

  • omfg im about to go buy a box...

    god i miss those times

some how eating a bowl of this will let me enjoy a small part of my child hood days.

    god dang media = (

  • For some reason 90's christmas was awesome than the 2000s christmas. Does anybody feel the same?

  • I feel the same way

  • @jhumada of course we feel the same!! I couldn't agree more!!! It just doesn;t feel like it used to..... Maybe thats cuz im all grown up now haha

  • @jhumada You are not alone; I miss the Christmases of the 1980s and 1990s. My dad was still alive then, and some of my siblings were younger and still living at home. Thank God for memories...

  • @jhumada Are you saying Christmas's in the 90s, when you were presumably a child are better then the Christmas's of the last decade, when you were presumably a teenager/adult? I wonder why that is.

  • @jhumada Your so totally right...I don't think it was just the 90's but every decade before the turn of the century. I miss them :(

  • @jhumada everything was awesome in the 80's

  • @jhumada yeah, the more "Political Corectness" rules the world, the more we lose our Christmas.

  • @jhumada yeaa man your completely right

  • God I want the 80's back and to be a kid again

  • @mightykamina2009 I'd give up everything I have now just to be able to relive that decade as it was. Nothing will ever be as pure as the 80's were.

  • @mightykamina2009 you and me both!! I was between the ages of 4-14 during the 80's!

  • @mightykamina2009 Yeah, you can add me to the list of people who thinks too much of society since the mid-90s has gone down the toliet. These old commercials are the living, breathing (so to speak) truth.

  • @mightykamina2009 i know right? things were sooo much simpler then

  • This makes me want christmas to come and it makes me miss being little :[
