That's a very good point. He's putting a lot of effort into it. As much as I adore Kelli's voice, she treated live performances as more casual and fun and playful. She did not put in such consistent and serious effort when live. That's just a fact. Some singers put a lot into their live stuff. Yeah. Chris is doing IAMX now, with which he recently released his third album with no signs of slowing, so the project may outlive SP in terms of discography.
Both Kelli & Chris are very talented artists. I like both versions equally. Both bring feeling to the song. Just sung different! Kudos to both of them.
I agree with you claracilly and scarlet.. I think that Chris puts so much more into it. I liked Kelli and all, but she doesn't sound anything like she does on the cd.. and that's disappointing. Chris' vocals are absolutely flawless, and I appreciate his effort and his talent.. He's pretty much amazing. :D

Wrong. There was a reason Kelli was chosen for Becoming X and that was because chris sucked at singing those songs, which still holds true today. This guy will never find a way to cover his own songs from that album.
Chris makes them sound better live but I will always love Kelli.

I love Chris and all but this song goes PERFECTLY with Kelli's.
It doesn't suit him.
Low Five, Bloodsport, Lightning Field, etc fit him a lot better.
I still like Chris better as lead but this just doesn't feel right without Kelli.

No way, guys. There are some Becoming X songs that were definitely Kelli songs, but this one is chalked up in the Chris column.
