Wrong, Wrong, Wrong!!! It's not cable TV, It's here, on the Internet! You know that, or you wouldn't be doing these lunch videos! Bachmann and Cain would have been vapor, by now, if it were up to Cable-land! Its HERE ( & despite the $ cable punditry finds so crucial), that this election will be won or lost! Free You-tube ads that will undercut the value of the "media-buys", will decide the coming Tea Party emergence. It 's not "Money talks, . . ", but "walking the walk you talk", that wins!
Sarah Palin has the ability to wake up America, just as Pres. Reagan could and did! She has done more for Alaska by resigning, and she can mobilize all of us. Cain, with his leadership abilities, and Bachmann with her massive talent and experience as VP, would serve us well. But Palin as our heart and model of integrity, and her communication skills, should be very high up in their way of expressing government, and an integral person during the campaign. She's not self-serving; admirable!
Here's the thing to keep in perspective folks, Barack Obama & Company are the enemy; anybody running against them deserves our support and would be exponentially better; so lets not give the progressives any more ammo. That being said IMHO Mitt Romney is the worst in the current field and Ron Paul & Michele Bachmann are the best with Ron Paul having a decisive edge... Anybody but Obama 2012 !
Don't worry about Palin for President 2012. Ain't gonna happen. Instead, she is going to run for Jon Kyl's senate seat in AZ. She just bought a house in Snottsdale.
Let's have a REAL debate. We should have five debates each debate being on one issue. NO CNN/FOX style debates!! If we have REAL debates, Ron Paul will SMOKE the whole GOP field.
I also support Palin however, if she doesn't run then I will have no other choice that to vote for the Rino of Romney. He is not the best option but much better than the present piece of garbage we have in the White House!
I also support Palin however, if she doesn't run then I will have no other choice that to vote for the Rino of Romney. He is not the best option but much better than the present shit we have in the White House!
Romney is first because he's propped up by the liberal media. When they say Bachmann is second, guess what? That means she is first. :) Romney is a fake!
I enjoy these videos a great deal; however, I hope Mr. Morris is wrong about the
Great White RINO Romney. He isn't my choice, but I will vote for him if he gets nominated, because Obama is and has been the worst president in history! I hope Governor Palin gets into the race, but I doubt it. She has been beaten up on enough. I will definitely do what I can to help Michele Bachmann. She is a good woman of principal and ability. The only way BHO can win is through voting machine fraud.
Romney is what passes for a republican in Massachusetts. He's also the most conservative candidate that the liberal media will allow. Having said that, he would be 100x more acceptable than the current disaster and I'd vote for him in a general election.
I support Palin, if for no other reason than that she will resist the media, who I presume will once more appoint our nominee! We need to keep as many strong candidates active for as long as possible, even encouraging some of the strong candidates to come back into the fray. Morris points out all 50 states will be part of the selection process, because of the internet. Let's battle it out right to the very end. Almost anyone at all could beat Obama; he's so critically flawed, even you and I!
@dkitzinger1 Hmm... Palin and her trailer trash daughter? you support that? Or Palin who threw aside her conservative principles to campaign for John McCain for re-election? That's good politicking? I don't think so.
BACHMANN, I like, but don't want pandering to a religious right/evangelical base BUT I want to see a POTUS that respects the Constitution & its "no religious" test intents. ROMNEY, the only candidate besides Cain (not as extensive) in saving businesses & creating JOBS. Olympics experience is very impressive. Great experience as a Gov. Great moral values, values family, religious but not pandering to religious base. Romney~looking better all of the time!
MB is the only one who knows where the line in the sand is drawn: individual freedom vs. slavery to big government, and would be guided by the Constitution on all matters of self interest to all citizens of the USA. There is only one legitimate party of the USA: those who believe in individual freedom - i.e., the Libertarian/Republican/Conservative individual vs. liberal/democrat/progressive/communists - not suited for politics under our National Philosophy of self ownership & ind freedom.
You are spinning your wheels - Trump is not worthy of consideration, Cain is a nice fellow but not a viable candiate for any government position and Christy is a loud mouth lout that would not stand a prayer in hell. Based on the current field, although there are some unanswered questions about Romney what we have is Romney for President and Bachmnann for Vice President. That's it and don't waste any more time on the other would be candiates - They are just wasting debate time.
Why do you keep mentioning TRUMP ??? If he decides to run as an Independent it will divide the conservative vote and probably allow Obama to win again. Trump was a liberal first and a conservative second and I feel his actions will only benefit the Democratic/Socialist Party. Leave Trump alone and emphasize only those who are truly committed
I suspect there are many like me who get to watch Dick's daily videos whenever possible or convenient. For those of us, the insistence in making unnecessary references to a meal is mildly annoying and tend to make the piece sound oddly anachronistic. At least in my case, this impression takes something away from the timely relevance and actuality of the issues he normally conveys.
@roncaro1 Thank you! I agree. Please, Mr. Morris, no more references to lunch here. It makes you seem so
weirdly self-conscious. The image of your corpulent form betrays the fact that you are under assault by swarms of carbohydrates. Give it a rest. This preoccupation of yours seems almost effetely "British". As in "Do come for tea and a chat, won't you". I do enjoy the videos very much, Dick . Except when you moon over how "presidential" Romney looks and sounds.
PERRY attended Bilderberg closed door meeting, has grown TX gov't. Why are conservatives giving him a pass on HIS MANDATORY HPV vaccine for 6th grade girls???!! Why is HE not getting hammered over THAT MANDATE?? NO, thanks! CAIN I like, but has NO gov't experience. NOT YET, maybe VP.
Dick, I do not understand why you keep putting the Tea Party with Evangelicals. Tea Partiers are fiscal conservatives and are more in line with the Club for Growth, Americans for Prosperity, and Libertarians. That's why Bachmann, Cain and Ron Paul are popular.
The Evangelicals share more in common with the neo-cons who are Republican establishment. I see Santorum here along with the other establishment candidates you mentioned.
Dick is recording these for people to WATCH on their lunch hour (making it a convenient update). He doesn't need to change what he says just because someone may watch it at a different time. Geez. Thanks, Dick.
Very interesting commentary. It does seem like a Bachmann/Romney race for the Republican primary is on. I saw a recent ad by Cain that was very powerful, but it would apply equally to Bachmann. I personally believe Cain is too green and will make too many mistakes. Despite the all out personal attach machine of the Obama/Left on Bachmann, I believe she has a real chance to win the Republican Primary, and then the Presidency.
@PHILLYB644924: Obama's final 18 months are going to be like a going out of business sale on chaos. If you're a foreign country looking to cause trouble, it's like the ad pitch, "PRICES MAY NEVER BE THIS LOW AGAIN!"
If you're an arab state... attack Israel and/or slaughter you're own population. If you're Iran, send equipment to Iraq and Afghanistan. If you're Russian, send two divisions to the arctic. If you're China, seize some islands.
Huckaphoney & Trump. a pair of morons. Foul mouthed Trump. Classless idiot just like the President. Romney. Slick Madison Avenue liar & snake oil salesman who has just folded on global warming.
@dot88com Typical liberal, if you can't come up with a decent argument, then you call names and be nasty. Nobody who matters takes seriously people like you.
@daddyxyz1 yep I am slightly to the right of Barry Goldwater. After you get your green card take some English reading courses.
Did I insult one of your heroes? Huckaphoney? Chump? $1000 haircuts Romney? I could bash Ron Paul but he understands the Constitution better than these 3 morons. All I know is that Democrats in NH chose McCain & that was a disaster. The lib media will choose Romney cuz he's a Scott Brown repub.
cain and bachmann together could blow obama out of the water. i think this is what its going to take - a team, not just one individual. i don't care which of the two for pres & vp. either would do a terriffic job. i just think they need to run together to assure a win. when people stop listening to empty campaign promises and start looking at real success, they will see that cain stands on a mountain of success.
I believe we should pick presidential candidates by age 10 and groom them to be president because people behave like regular folks and by the time they reach 35, they have committed a lot of sins which make them imperfect to run for the Presidency. Ideally, Ron Paul is the best candidate. But, we the voters are the sinners, and we see him too pure to have a chance to convince more than a handful of loyalists. Let's be realistic: Anyone is better than Barack Hussein Obama. VOTE GOP IN 2012!
@pombroll Paul is an isolationist who basically sees no roll for the US gov't in world affairs. His ideas about financial matters on the other are relatively sound. But as far as President goes NO WAY this guy doesn't make the cut in my book. A cabinet position maybe but our leader no thanks.
@MegaRick57 I agree. Ron Paul could be the Secretary of the Reasury because of his fiscal conservative position. He would keep the Fed at Bay by not getting in bed with it. Yet, we live in a global economy and we have to deal with the bad guys as a matter of doing business with the world. We need a true American with a world view. Ron Paul meets the first criterium but not the second.
How adroit you were in avoiding Sarah Palin! She is the one with enormous leadership skills, and with the vision. She might think of Dick Morris as being the king-maker, and that's exactly who she is attempting to avoid. If Sarah wants it Sarah gets it. Period. Bachmann is something like Obama, in as much as they both lack leadership. Cain is another with great leadership qualities. Who is big enough to be President of the USA? We don't need a Senator or Lawyer, we need a leader!
@dkitzinger1 I disagree with you on Palin. Tho I like her a lot, I think the liberals have succeeded in sullying her reputation during the 08 election. I see her as someone who can speak out on the issues, but not as someone who would be taken seriously as a presidental candidate who can kick BHO's butt out of the oval office. Having watched Cain, I like him more and more. I think he could really turn this country around, if we had control of the govt and repubs would back him in congress.
@daddyxyz1 Only if you let them destroy her image. Are you buying into their propaganda? Liberals, progressives fear Sara Palin because of her record in Alaska. She was responsible for some being incarcerated.
Republican establishment types like Karl Rove and somewhat Dick Morris are downplaying Sara Palin as well.
We need no more establishment types in any level of our government. Most of them are not much better than the progressives who are disasters!
@glh104753 Image destroying is hard to reverse. The undecided's are the ones who are swayed by this and that is sometimes enough to lose an election. I don't really take Rove too seriously. I think his analysis is flawed in most cases. I listen more to Morris, but even he doesn't get it right in many cases. At this point, nobody knows how 2012 is going to play out. You can bet the liberals are frantically searching for dirt to shovel in their opponents faces.
I can see President Bachman and VP Cain as a perfect team. She could use his leadership skills for a lot more than going to funerals and with him standing behind her often I think the media would not give her so much crap.
Dick, given the three time zones and range of viewing times I think you should open with, "Hi, hope you're having a nice day," or "...good morning," and close with "Have a good day now."
We are going to REALLY have some uncertain times ahead, and in saying that I'm concerned who will be the strongest leader ?, That person will have to make hard life changing decisions. It's not going to be pretty! Who is up to dealing with Iran, Korea, Peak oil, the stock market ,ect. ect ?. The Tea Party and constitutional concerns is one thing for sure. But the big picture is really scarey . My vote is unknown at this time, but I will be listening.
I believe Hermann Cain is the dark horse(no pun) for he carries no baggage. Bachmann bothered me when she implied that God had directed her on the Sunday interview,
I see a lot of great comments on this post and I have been following the canidates very closely but, bottom line I WILL vote Republican in 2012 no matter who the canidate is. I will take anyone other than the man that is in the office at the present time.
Perry attended a Bilderberg convention of elites who are aiding in the theft of America by the global banking cartel, are in favor of depopulation through GMO viruses, wars, etc, and promote AGW as a means of ultimate population control. In other words, Perry is a globalist and a NWO totalitarian (fascist) control freak. Romney is a definite RHINO and he also will enable the banksters . Although Paul has no chance, he is the only hope to restore the Constitution.
His thesis is that suddenly everyone is watching cable TV now is weak. People have been watching it for at least 25 years. If anything, their viewership has gone down in inverse ratio with the increase in internet usage.
I'd like to see Cain be the President and Bachman the Vice President candidate.
Cain would steal a huge number of black votes from Obama and Bachman would get a huge female vote. I think that combo could easily beat Obama. In a debate Cain would make Obama look like an idiot. And Bachman would do the same to "ole foot in his mouth" BIden.
I know Ron Paul supporters do not like Perry. I would like to hear more from him and others who are more objective. I do not hear about him much but so far I like everything I have heard him say.
I disagree to the extent that network pundits relentlessly push their horserace "reporting" to help the candidates with the highest name ID. It becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy because they waste so much time playing "who's the frontrunner" that they don't introduce the lesser-known (and often better) candidates. We got fed the same "Romney is the obvious frontrunner" last time around. They were wrong. Romney is worse in 2011 than he was in 2008. Embracing cap-n-trade and corn subsidies???
Obama has ruined it for another black President. Cain has no shot. West would be a better black man anyway. Paul has no shot cause he is a fruitcake. He has a cult following, but many sane people think he is a LOON! Rick sounds good, as does Bachmannn. Mitt is a rino, better than Obama but but still garbage.
People admire Texans and the state of Texas's economy but I think/hope people know he's a RINO. Wasn't he Al Gore's campaign manager once? Supportive of sanctuary cities? Didn't he just kill or help water down the TSA anti-groping bill?
BTW- Your "Ron Paul, God help us" comment does not endear you to me, Dick. We need someone to make radical changes.
Ron Paul has said he would close the borders, stop foreign aid, work to audit the FED and restore states rights.
I don't agree with him on every issue, but I trust him to follow through on the ones I do most care about. He has the most conservative voting record in the house. if you want to know more, please go to his web page.
The current set of characters is who we want otherwise we'd have other candidates -if someone thinks they can take on the current let them -no ones does then this who we got. Even President Obama watches the debates -you think? The GOP this term has never better put forth the terms of a Presidential candidate.

Oops I miss spelled Candidate

I believe that any combo of candidates could beat Obama.

Mitt is a rino, better than Obama but but still garbage.
hawkermustang 7 months ago
@hawkermustang
I encourage you to research Perry carefully before you support him. He is a bigger RINO than Romney. (See my post below.)
I confess two years ago I thought Paul was crazy too.

@3monkeysmomma Paul has 0 chance.

Yeah, but I'd support him for Treasury Secretary in a heartbeat.

@hennypenny247 I would to.

@3monkeysmomma I like everything about Paul EXCEPT his crazy stand on drugs. And it is crazy.

@sarahfarrar1 Paul also seems to want to shit on Israel while he sucks up to Islam.

3monkeysmomma 7 months ago
@3monkeysmomma By "he" I mean Rick Perry of course. (sorry)

@peptopro17
Ron Paul has said he would close the borders, stop foreign aid, work to audit the FED and restore states rights.
I don't agree with him on every issue, but I trust him to follow through on the ones I do most care about. He has the most conservative voting record in the house. if you want to know more, please go to his web page.
God bless
