While you are in pan/crop select the blue arrow on the left so it lets you on all four sides to move :D But you have probably already realised by now :D

ok so for the muzzle flare on after effects... its backwards dude, and you can just import the muzzle flare, go into properties, change it from none to screen, then put it on, scale, and then your muzzle flare is on there, your making it much more complicated than it needs to be

There is an easier way to add a muzzle flash in AE then to color key it.
