Something doesnt seem right about global warming. Its been really cold this year on the entire east coast. It also seems like every football game i watch there is record low temperatures. My French teacher even said that south france and most of Europe is also having a very cold year. Hurrincanes werent to bad this year either. And temperatures have been fairly stable since 1998. They are still rising a little, but why is it not as drastic as it was between 1970-2000?

You make some good observations, however you need to understand that global warming has contributed 1 degree of warming over the last 100 years! So any individual fluctuation in weather should not be proof against or for global warming.

Also, much of the earth is uninhabited, so drastic weather swings on the warm side get under-reported. If parts of the arctic is normally -20C in the winter, and this year it is -10C, the public doesn't know or care.

The low Atlantic hurricane activity in 2009 is caused by El Nino. This happened in 1997 and 2006. Global warming doesn't cause more hurricanes, it increases their strength. There were a lot of hurricanes in Pacific Ocean in 2009, just not many in Atlantic.

I forget where, I think it was on comcast, but I found a statistic that the general belief of global warming has went from like 80% to below 50%. When I look at a graph of temperatures, i see it rising very severly from 1970-1998. After 1998 it still rises, but no where near as severe as before. It hasn't been cold in Vancouver where the winter Olympics are held. Seattle and Vancouver just had their warmest January on record with no snow for the winter games with temps in 60s and 70s. Just rain in the forecast for now. Helicopters are having to airlift snow in. The avg. temperatures in the Arctic are some 15 degrees above normal. In Greenland the record breaking temps. of 51 and 55 deg. Farenheit were recorded the past 3 days.

I just had to do a report on global warming for english, and I found more evidence suggesting it as a media hoax rather than an actual occurrence. ABC news is extremely liberal and will do its best job to tell us what the next global catastrophe is and how it will kill us all!

nice. did u write the report on proving that, or did u just write it on global warming is a problem? because i know i had to do a paper for environmental science on proving global warming is happening. it was supposed to be at least 4 pages. i did my research, and wrote a 10 page paper on disproving humans as the cause of global warming, i also presented it to the class, and convinced almost everyone that we are not the source of warming. as for the teacher, shes undecided

In the meantime, though, I discovered how there is actual scientific evidence disproving it. I used to believe in global warming, but now, forget about it!
