I remember the day Rachel Corrie died. We heard about it overnight on the radio. There were 4 or 5 of us, holding banners on the overpass in Kirkland that day, US OUT OF IRAQ, and we wnt for coffee afterwards. Nancy and Gary and Dave and Marion and me.. I think it was Nancy pulled out a newspaper and showed the picture of Rachel Corrie half buried, with the blood, and Marion just made a kind of noise like 'hukk' like, she was going to cry and her face said everything.
Rachel Corrie is a true american hero. An inspiration to all of us. May she rest in peace.
