I saw this at the cinema when it first came out, didn't really enjoy the film as I had a headache, when I saw it on video a few years later I LOL'd all the way through it. One of my favourite films, up there with Monty python.

What makes this movie so funny is that It takes place in World War II (the 1940's) and Rock n roll didn't come until 10 years later and surf music 20 years later.. Classic!!! hilarious

The goofy thing about this sequence is that it was filmed off the west coast of ENGLAND! According to the director, it was freezing (about 40 degrees farenheit) and the performers suffered badly. That might be why you see some wet suits in there. Another goofy thing: the black actors were English, and the "Brother" who high fives Chocolate Mousse in the cabin shoot-out scene had to be instructed on how to sound like an American by a Jewish guy from Wisconsin!

This film is a fine example of the parody genre.  It's funny even if you don't know or aren't familiar with what they are parody. This is along the lines of Airplane and the Hotshots movies. Great song that is upbeat, funny, and covers a lot of ground. Great movie.
