There are few Bonanza episodes that can top this one. Incredible does not even begin to describe it. The acting from the entire cast at the end was simply amazing!
This episode had me on the verge of tears. The relationship and love between Pa and Joseph is stunning, Landon and Greene did a wonderful job. The tears that they shed together was astonishingly moving. Great episode, Great series. :)
for such a heavy testosterone cast, it sure had a emotionally POWERFUL ending! It caught me by surprise........when little joe said all that in triumph of his sight being regained, and to discover that his teacher was blinded.......it sent a powerful SOMETHING ! through my spine! And Micheal Landon, had it played..... PERFECTLY ! ........Falling to his knees ! And she responding ! I gotta tell ya! there are a number of motion pictures out there that would be put to shame! Bonanza bravo!
oh my gosh i totally agree, i have never seen ben act so emotional and the end was so, agh i don't even know what to say, one of the later episodes that was truly worth watching

Oh my God. Seeing Pa cry really freaked me out!
That was great. This episode's so well done-it hardly even had the necessary Bonanza cheese factor. And Miss Dobbs is very cool.
