This was probably Fischer's inspiration for dragging out the Barendreght Variation later in 1966. (That ...Bg4 after an early 0-0 not especially potent.)
@RRappadura You are right but White would still have a better position: 14...hxg6 15.Ne4 Qe5 (15...Qh4 16.Nxd6+ cxd6 17.Qxd6 Qxh3? 18.Re1++- or 15...Qd8 then 16.Qf3 and white stands better) 16.Nxd6+ Qxd6 17.Qf3±
@MatoJelic hello mato i really enjoy your videos and think tghat you are a great Commentator but i think you hear that often ;) but anyways can you pleas tell me wehre you get all thesee famous chessgames i would love if you answer me thx :)

Only other option after the check from the queen at B4 was: move rook to D8, white queen takes black rook, black queen takes white queen, white bishop takes black queen, black knight to E7 to block check, white rook takes knight, then black king runs and loses black rook.
@YZB25 You are wasting the other person's time when you play on in a clearly lost position. Anyone above amateur level knows when to resign to not be an asshole.
@YZB25 People get bitchy because when you don't resign they have to think on how to mate you. They get used to winning positions getting them a win without the work, but moreover if you resign, your opponent gets the relief that he wouldn't do a blunder that causes you to win. Never resign unless it's 100 percent a losing scenerio that no blunder can fix.
i hate how chess grandmasters always resign when they know they're gonna lose if i was playing i'd fight to the bitter end even if it resulted in embarrassing annihilation
@YZB25 For one, that's rude in chess. People want to play more games instead of wasting time. 2) That's a very bad habit to be in once you're that good, because they often play many games in one day, and that sort of calculation is exhausting. If they burnt themselves out on two games, then they'd probably lose the next 5.
@sparkyk24 The purpose of chess is to win, resigning is a luxery only to those outside of beginner and beginner ratings. Rude is not resigning when you play a 2k player, but anyone below that rating needs to work for the win. Because unless they have a force win, they havent' secured the win yet.
in 1:57 you could go to with the queen in c6 and could take both the king or in probable case the rook

@4:05, why did he not go pawn to H2?

@2wotimes
After ..h2 Kh1 black still has no attack left.
He'd be doing him a favor by relieving white's bishop from the pin without losing a tempo.

Wonderful move, Intelligence matters

18. ... d5 was the begining of the end for black.
This move is a waste of a precious tempo, reliefing the pressure for a short but enough time to white counter attack.

@sahil23isngh I triple checked, goggled and found this:
Bled 1961
Fischer vs Geller, 1961
(C72) Ruy Lopez, Modern Steinitz Defense, 5.O-O, 22 moves, 1-0
Bled 1961
Fischer vs Keres, 1961
(B11) Caro-Kann, Two Knights, 3...Bg4, 56 moves, 1/2-1/2
Now I think that Schiller has it wrong
MatoJelic 4 months ago
@MatoJelic YA Schiller has it wrong in his book sorry Jelic nice video though

Why couldn't the B2 pawn take the white queen (in the speculated move)?
