@carriganhenry Nothing to do w/ 60, it's because this was early in his comeback. Just saw him last week in Louisville with his new band. The voice, while deeper w/ age, is back. Stand For the Fire Demon, as well as many others, gave me goosebumps.
I love Roky, man. What a powerful presence. He has a really ABC style with his E-barre on almost every chord. No messin' around. No frills. He's also doing well with using a lower registers with these songs that used to rely on his head voice--which is apparently leaving us. I hope I see Roky before things wind down.
What a great event, what a great venue. I am proud to know Roky, Sumner and Evelyn Erickson and that Austin stands tall in the history of music. Thank you Jan for posting this !

I drove down from Fort Worth to see this;awesome!
The Paramount is a beautiful venue as well.
